INTERNAL TRANSFORMER COMPOSITE-DEFECT FUZZY DIAGNOSTIC METHOD BASED ON GAS DISSOLVED IN OIL
A transformer internal composite defect fuzzy diagnosis method based on gas dissolved in oil, comprising: a step of acquiring monitoring data of volume concentrations of five types of monitored feature gas; a step of determining ratio codes; a step of modifying a three-ratio method; a step of fuzzifying a boundary range; a step of calculating probabilities of the ratio codes; a step of calculating a probability of occurrence of each defect fault; and finally obtaining a fault type of a transformer. The method has the beneficial effects that: the method is simple and easy to achieve, and particularly suitable for being applied to an on-line transformer state monitoring system; based on a concept of fuzzy logic, diagnosis of composite defects of the transformer under a complicated state and evaluation of the degree of severity can be achieved, and the problem of sudden change caused by criterion boundary absolutisation can be effectively avoided; and multi-feature information such as an attention value and a ratio of the gas dissolved in the oil are merged and analysed, thereby effectively improving the diagnosis reliability.

An electronic power connector including a contact and a contact core. The contact is configured to electrically connect a power supply to a load. The contact core is configured to receive the contact. The contact core includes a transformer winding configured to sense a current and a sensor slot configured to receive a sensor. In some embodiments, the sensor is configured to sense a temperature. In some embodiments, the sensor is configured to sense a voltage.
EMBEDDED TEMPERATURE SENSOR SOLUTION FOR POWER INDUCTOR
A power inductor such as a variable voltage converter power inductor having a temperature sensor embedded therein is disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the sensor may be disposed between the core and the coil or winding. The sensor may be positioned in the cavity of a bobbin or the core itself.
MAGNETIC BASED TEMPERATURE SENSING FOR ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION LINE
Systems and methods for sensing, measuring, or monitoring the temperature of an electrical transmission line of an electrical cable, are provided. A temperature sensitive inductor is disposed in thermal contact with the electrical transmission line. The temperature of the electrical transmission line can be sensed, measured, or monitored by measuring the inductance of the temperature sensitive inductor. Mechanisms and methods to eliminate, minimize, or account for the magnetic coupling between the current carried by the electrical transmission line and the temperature sensitive inductor are provided.

The power system can further include at least one first instrument transformer coupled to the first regulated transformer. The power system can also include at least one second instrument transformer coupled to the second regulated transformer. The power system can further include a controller coupled to the at least one first instrument transformer and the at least one second instrument transformer, where the controller adjusts the first tap changer to a first adjusted position among the first positions based on the first measurements of the first regulated transformer and the second measurements of the second regulated transformer.
UNIVERSAL SMART ENERGY TRANSFORMER MODULE
A universal smart energy transformer module (USETM) that uses an array of sensors to monitor and measure characteristics of the electrical power delivered and utilized at a location, along with other conditions in the area surrounding the location. The invention then uses the data from these sensors to determine the condition and performance of the transformer (for example, its input and output, power quality etc.) and also to identify any anomalies detected within the local power system that could threaten reliable electric supply on the electric grid, or pose a danger to people. A notification of such condition may be distributed using the secure, uninterruptible communications system.
MINIATURIZED ISOLATOR MODULES FOR INTRINSIC SAFETY APPLICATIONS
Aspects of the present disclosure provide miniaturized isolator modules capable of transferring power and/or data signals across an isolation barrier by way of a transformer while maintaining intrinsic safety (IS) compliance. For example, the isolator modules may provide power from a non-IS side to an IS side of the isolation barrier while protecting the IS side in the event of an overvoltage and/or overcurrent event on the non-IS side. In some aspects, an isolator module includes one or more silicon protection devices, which facilitate the miniaturization of the isolator module while maintaining protection against overvoltage and/or overcurrent events in accordance with IS standards. In some aspects, an isolator module includes a transformer adapted for IS compliance. For example, coils of the transformer may be disposed on opposing sides of an isolation barrier having a thickness of at least 200 microns. Some aspects provide silicon protection devices formed on a single semiconductor die for use with miniaturized isolator modules to provide overvoltage and/or overcurrent protection for IS compliance. Miniaturized isolator modules and protection devices described herein may be used either alone or in combination, in IS or non-IS environments.
