A hard start capacitor replacement unit includes a capacitor container having a cover, a plurality of capacitors received within the container, each of said capacitors having a capacitance value, a common terminal mounted on the cover and electrically connected to a common terminal of each of said plurality of capacitors, a plurality of cover terminals mounted on the cover spaced apart from the common terminal and from each other, each cover terminal respectively electrically connected to one of the plurality of capacitors, a relay having contacts and being capable of opening and closing said contacts in response to a monitored condition of the motor, the relay having relay terminals, a fuse electrically connected to one of the relay terminals by a first wire wherein the fuse electrically disconnects the hard start capacitor replacement unit and the motor upon a failure, and a second wire electrically connecting one of the relay terminals and the motor, a third wire electrically connecting the common terminal and one of the relay terminals, a fourth wire electrically connecting one or more cover terminals to one of the relay terminals, wherein the contacts of the relay close to electrically connect one or more capacitors of the plurality of capacitors to the motor, and the contacts of the relay open to electrically disconnect the one or more capacitors of the plurality of capacitors from the motor.

A capacitor provides a plurality of selectable capacitance values, by selective connection of six capacitor sections of a capacitive element each having a capacitance value. The capacitor sections are provided in a plurality of wound cylindrical capacitive elements. Two vertically stacked wound cylindrical capacitance elements may each provide three capacitor sections. There may be six separately wound cylindrical capacitive elements each providing a capacitor section. The capacitor sections have a common element terminal.

CAPACITOR WITH MULTIPLE ELEMENTS FOR MULTIPLE REPLACEMENT APPLICATIONS

An apparatus includes a case having an elliptical cross-section capable of receiving a plurality of capacitive elements. One or more of the capacitive elements provide at least one capacitor having a first capacitor terminal and a second capacitor terminal. The apparatus also includes a cover assembly that includes a deformable cover mountable to the case, and, a common cover terminal having a contact extending from the cover. The cover assembly also includes at least three capacitor cover terminals, each of the at least three capacitor cover terminals having at least one contact extending from the deformable cover. The deformable cover is configured to displace at least one of the at least three capacitor cover terminals upon an operative failure of at least one of the plurality of the capacitive elements. The cover assembly also includes at least four insulation structures. One of the four insulation structures is associated with one of the at least three capacitor cover terminals. The apparatus also includes a first conductor capable of electrically connecting the first capacitor terminal of a capacitor provided by one of the plurality of capacitive elements to one of the at least three capacitor cover terminals and a second conductor capable of electrically connecting the second capacitor terminal of the capacitor provided by one of the plurality of capacitive elements to the common cover terminal.

An electrochemical energy storage device comprises: a cover plate (4), comprising a lead-out bar (41) and a fixing plate (42), wherein the lead-out bar (41) is a conductor, the fixing plate (42) is an insulator, and the lead-out bar (41) vertically passes through the fixing plate (42) and is fixed thereon; a housing (9), which is cylindrical and is provided with an opening at at least one end thereof, wherein the insulating fixing plate (42) and the opening of the housing (9) are connected in a sealed manner by means of a sealing ring (2); and a rolled core (7), provided in an inner cavity of the housing (9), wherein the rolled core (7) is conductively connected to the lead-out bar (41) by means of an upper connecting piece (6), and is conductively connected to another lead-out end of the housing (9) by means of a lower connecting piece (8); and the device further comprises: a welding ring (1), conductively connected to the housing (9) by means of welding, and a welding bar (3), conductively connected to the lead-out bar (41) of the cover plate (4) by means of welding, wherein the welding ring (1) and the welding bar (3) are provided on the same side of the housing (9). The upper connecting piece (6) and the lower connecting piece (8) respectively lead out the positive electrode and the negative electrode of the electrochemical energy storage device, and lead the positive electrode and the negative electrode to the outside. The device is led out at two ends, has a low internal resistance, and can be tin-soldered, thereby facilitating the assembly of modules.

An adapter mechanically connects the sensor device to the housing at the housing opening and fluidically connects it to the housing interior. The adapter has a cylindrical adapter body divided into a plurality of functional longitudinal sections and a feed-through for the fluidic connection extending over the plurality of longitudinal sections. A first longitudinal section, disposed in a region of the housing opening after connecting the adapter to the housing, caps or closes off the feed-through in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the adapter body and fluidically connects it to the housing interior in at least one plane parallel to the longitudinal axis.

ECA oxide-resistant connection to a hermetic seal ferrule for an active implantable medical device

A hermetically sealed feedthrough assembly for an active implantable medical device having an oxide-resistant electrical attachment for connection to an EMI filter, an EMI filter circuit board, an AIMD circuit board, or AIMD electronics. The oxide-resistant electrical attachment, including an oxide-resistant sputter layer 165 is disposed on the device side surface of the hermetic seal ferrule over which an ECA stripe is provided. The ECA stripe may comprise one of a thermal-setting electrically conductive adhesive, an electrically conductive polymer, an electrically conductive epoxy, an electrically conductive silicone, an electrically conductive polyimides, or an electrically conductive polyimide, such as those manufactured by Ablestick Corporation. The oxide-free electrical attachment between the ECA stripe and the filter or AIMD circuits may comprise one of gold, platinum, palladium, silver, iridium, rhenium, rhodium, tantalum, tungsten, niobium, zirconium, vanadium, and combinations or alloys thereof.

The capacitor header includes a live output plate connected to a central live conductor of the capacitor and a ground output plate connected to a ground conductor of the capacitor. The capacitor header also includes first and second insulating members, which both have non-planar mating surfaces that interleave to form a non-linear path. An insulating seal is included between the non-planar mating surfaces. The capacitor header also includes two sets of insulating sheets. The sets of insulating sheets extend beyond an outer perimeter of the live output plate and the ground output plate.

The curved part includes an opening rim, a crimp part connected to the opening rim, and a groove part connected to the crimp part, the crimp part being located outward from the opening rim along a radial direction of the tubular part, the groove part being recessed to protrude inward in the radial direction of the tubular part and having an annular shape. The sealing body includes: a sealing plate having conductivity; and a gasket having electric insulation, the gasket being compressed between the sealing plate and a portion of the crimp part facing the groove part and between the sealing plate and an inner surface of the groove part. The case is electrically connected to the first electrode. The sealing plate is electrically connected to the second electrode. The opening rim does not contact the gasket.

The terminal-coating resin film has a single-layer structure or a multilayer structure and includes a resin layer having at least one secondary dispersion peak γ within a range of −130° C. to −50° C. in a profile of a loss tangent tan δ obtained by dynamic viscoelastic measurement under a condition of 1.0 Hz. The terminal-coating film is comprised of a resin composition including a first resin including polyolefin and a second resin including at least one resin selected from polyester, polyamide, polycarbonate, and polyphenylene ether.
