A wearable infusion pump allows a user to insert a program key into a housing of the pump to select a continuous dosage rate. Program keys are shaped to close contacts on a printed circuit board within the housing to communicate the selected dosage rate to a microprocessor. In this way, a single disposable pump, sold with one Stock keeping unit (SKU), can be used to deliver a plurality of dosage rates. The disposable pump is provided with an on-board display and a one-button on-board user operable control. In preferred embodiments, the infusion pump according to the invention may be used for continuous delivery of insulin in management of Type II diabetes.

Fluid injector system volume compensation system and method

A system and method for correcting a volume of fluid delivered by a fluid injector during an injection procedure is described. The method included determining and compensating for a volume factor associated with compliance of the fluid injector system and correcting for the volume by one of over-driving the distance that the drive member travels in a fluid reservoir, under-driving the distance that the drive member travels in the fluid reservoir, or lengthening or shortening a fluid delivery time.

Device, apparatus and method for controlling infusion

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a device, an apparatus, and a method for controlling infusion. The device may include a multi-port container assembly and a liquid flow controller. The multi-port container assembly includes a multi-port container having a plurality of inlets and an outlet, a detector configured to detect amount of liquid in the multi-port container, a first communication subassembly, and a first controller. The first controller may send a first signal to the liquid flow controller via the first communication subassembly in response to the detector detecting that the amount of liquid is lower than a first predetermined threshold. The liquid flow controller may turn off a first infusion tube currently used and turn on a next first infusion tube in response to receiving the first signal.

ROLLER CLAMP

Roller clamp for regulating the flow of a fluid through an elastically deformable tubing including a generally channel-shaped body whose bottom wall has a clamping surface with a longitudinal groove with a cross-section decreasingly variable from an initial end towards a terminal end. The longitudinal groove is arranged asymmetrically with respect to the lateral walls of the body.

KINKLESS INFUSION SET FOR MEDICAL USE
20230132398 · 2023-04-27 ·

Briefly, a kinkless infusion set has a setting control that engages a curved or helical cannula to simultaneously rotate the helical cannula as the helical cannula is moved toward a patients skin and then under the patient's skin to position the curved or helical cannula to a desired depth and position. In one example, the helical cannula is set between 3 mm and 5 mm under the patient's skin. Also, the curved or helical cannula may have side ports to allow medicine to be presented over a larger area for more effective therapeutic treatment. In some constructions the patient rotates the setting control, and in other cases the patient may push, pull or translate the setting control.

Angiogram injections using electrocardiographic synchronization

An injection system is described that receives, from one or more sensors, a first group of one or more signals indicating a current volume of injection fluid dispensed from a fluid reservoir at a first time. The injection system determines, based on the first group of one or more signals, that a difference between a dispensed volume limit and the current volume of the injection fluid dispensed from the fluid reservoir at the first time is less than a necessary volume of fluid required to complete both a systolic injection phase and a diastolic injection phase. The injection system further, responsive to determining that the difference is less than the necessary volume of fluid required to complete both the systolic injection phase and the diastolic injection phase, controls the injection system to refrain from performing each of the systolic injection phase and the diastolic injection phase.

Method and apparatus for performing a peripheral nerve block

A system for infusing medication into a mammalian subject is provided. The system includes an injection system for controlling a flow of fluid from a fluid reservoir to a needle. A sensor is provided that detects a characteristic indicative of the fluid pressure in the needle. The injection system controls the flow of fluid to the needle in response to the characteristic detected by the sensor and the sensor continuously detects the characteristic as the needle is inserted into the subject. The system further includes a conductive element for providing electric nerve stimulation, wherein the system provides electric nerve stimulation in response to the sensor detecting a pressure exceeding an upper limit.
