The semiconductor circuit breaker, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, comprises: a circuit breaker main body connected to a main circuit and provided with a module receiving unit on the outer surface thereof; and an interface module provided independently from the circuit breaker main body and detachably coupled to the module receiving unit. The circuit breaker main body comprises: a terminal cover rotatably coupled to a terminal unit of the circuit breaker main body; and an interlock member provided to the circuit breaker main body and restricting or releasing the opening of the terminal cover. The interface module comprises an interlock driving unit for operating the interlock member.
ENERGIZED PARTS GUARD
An energized parts guard is disclosed comprising a panel of substantially rigid, electrically insulative material wherein the substantially rigid panel further comprises a first one or more apertures and a second one or more apertures. The first one or more apertures are so dimensioned to accept one or more circuit breakers inserted into the first one or more apertures such that there is less than a 12.5 mm gap between the panel and the circuit breaker on at least two sides of the one or more circuit breakers. The second one or more apertures are positioned to facilitate access to at least one terminal of each of the one or more circuit breakers when the one or more circuit breakers are inserted into the first one or more apertures.
Touch safe panel board system
A touch safe electrical panel (100) includes a bus (110) having a branch connector (130) with a vertical stab (132) and a touch safe connection assembly (150). The assembly includes a dielectric housing (152) for the stab. The housing (152) includes a slot (180) through which to receive the stab, and an opening (190), arranged away from the slot, through which to receive a terminal of a plug-on circuit breaker configured to engage the stab. A dielectric barrier (170A, 170B) is arranged in the housing between the slot and the opening. The barrier partially blocks a passage way between the opening and the slot to prevent direct user contact of the stab while enabling the terminal to pass through the partially blocked passage way and engage the stab.
High amp circuit breaker with terminal isolation fastener cap
A high amperage circuit breaker and terminal isolation fastener cap is disclosed. The circuit breaker includes a base having a cavity formed in a top surface thereof, with a mounting hole located within the cavity. Input and output terminal studs are secured to the base and are positioned in a side-by-side arrangement. The hinged fastener cap comprises a fastener receptacle positioned within the cavity of the base and a cover member rotatably attached to the fastener receptacle via a hinge member, such that the cover member may be rotated to a closed position relative to the fastener receptacle. The cover member includes a dividing flange formed thereon that, when the cover member is in the closed position, forms at least part of a dividing structure positioned between the input and output terminal studs to provide electrical isolation therebetween.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, AND ELECTRICAL SWITCHING APPARATUS AND GUARD MEMBER THEREFOR
A guard member is for an electrical switching apparatus of an electrical system. The electrical system includes at least one electrical conductor. The electrical switching apparatus is structured to move from a CLOSED position to an OPEN position in response to a trip condition. The electrical switching apparatus has a terminal end coupled to the electrical conductor. The guard member includes a body having a receiving portion structured to receive the electrical conductor, and a coupling portion extending from the receiving portion and being structured to be coupled to the terminal end. The coupling portion has a number of thru holes in order to dissipate heat generated by the electrical switching apparatus moving from the CLOSED position to the OPEN position.
Adapter for Electric Switch Assembly and Electric Switch Assembly Comprising the Same
An adapter for an electric switch assembly, the adapter having an adapter body adapted to be immovably connected to an electric switch including a first set of terminals, wherein each of the terminals includes a terminal member adapted for releasing a connection between the terminal and the corresponding electric wire. The adapter includes a protective cover movably connected to the adapter body such that the protective cover has a protection position and a first installation position, wherein in the protection position the protective cover is adapted to prevent use of the terminal members of the electric switch, and in the first installation position the protective cover is adapted to enable use of terminal members of the first set of terminals, wherein said use of a terminal member includes releasing a connection between the terminal and the corresponding electric wire.
ANYWHERE WIRELESS SWITCH AND/OR DIMMER
An electrical device such as, for example, a battery-powered electrical switch is disclosed. The battery-powered wireless switch includes one or more mechanisms arranged and configured to provide simplified access for servicing (e.g., replacing) the batteries located within the wireless switch. In one embodiment, the wireless switch is arranged and configured so that the batteries may be accessed by reconfiguring the wireless switch from a first closed position to a second opened position to access the batteries. Thus arranged, removal of the wireless switch from a wall-box or a surface of a wall is not required, the user may only need to remove the wall-plate in order to reconfigure the wireless switch. In one embodiment, at least a portion of the wireless switch is pivoted from the first position to the second position to provide access to the batteries.
