Fusible link unit
A fusible link unit includes: a fuse element including a plurality of fusible portions arrayed in a predetermined array direction; a housing having a window portion penetrating the housing in an intersecting direction to intersect the array direction; and fusible portion covers attached to the housing. The housing holds the fuse element to locate the fusible portions inside the window portion. The fusible portion covers includes a first cover that is transparent and has a plate shape extending in the array direction and covering one opening of the window portion and a second cover that is non-transparent and having a plate shape extending in the array direction and covering the other opening of the window portion. A length of the first cover in the array direction is different from a length of the second cover in the array direction.
BRIDGE JOINT COVER ASSEMBLY
A bridge joint cover assembly for a busway bridge joint, the assembly comprising a bridge joint cover plate having a cover plate hole, a viewing plate fixed to the cover plate, over the cover plate hole, and the viewing plate including infrared (IR) material. The IR material is further aligned with the cover plate hole in the bridge joint cover plate.
Break away door, trip unit and circuit breaker assembly including same
A hinge assembly includes first and second portions. One of the first and second portions includes first and second receptacles and the other one of the first and second portions includes first and second cylindrical members extending in opposite directions along a hinge axis and a thickened portion having a contoured outer surface disposed adjacent the cylindrical members. The second portion is moveable from: a first state wherein the first and second cylindrical members are disposed in the first and second receptacles such that the second portion is coupled to the first portion and generally free to rotate about the hinge axis through at least a predetermined degree range, and a second state in which the second portion is decoupled from the first portion responsive to the second portion being rotated beyond the predetermined degree range and the contoured outer surface interacting with a portion of the first portion.
ILLUMINATED VIEWING SYSTEMS FOR ENCLOSURES
An enclosure disposed in an ambient environment can include at least one wall that forms a cavity. The enclosure can also include at least one electrical device disposed within the cavity. The enclosure can further include at least one illuminated viewing system disposed in the at least one wall. The at least one illuminated viewing system can include a window disposed in the at least one wall. The at least one illuminated viewing system can also include at least one light source assembly that directs light within the cavity in which the at least one electrical device is disposed.
Material Removal from Inner Surface to Preserve Perception of Outer Surface Aesthetics
A veneer for a wall-mounted keypad may include indicia that are laser cut therethrough and that are representative of functions that may be performed by the keypad. The veneer may include a recess that extends into an inner surface of the veneer, proximate to the indicia. The recess may be shaped such that a perceived aesthetic of an outer surface of the veneer is preserved during formation of the indicia. The recess may for example have an organic shape defined by a curved outer perimeter that does not define any corners.
High-visibility status indicator
A visual status indicator for an electrical apparatus is disclosed. The status indicator can be mounted within a lower cover of the electrical apparatus such that various display faces of the indicator are visible through one or more viewing windows of the lower cover. The status indicator can comprise a mounting base with protrusions and at least one wing, wherein the wing comprises at least one display face. At least one swing arm can be attached to the mounting base via the protrusions and the at least one swing arm can comprise at least one display face. The swing arm can be actuated such that either the display face on the wing or the display face on the swing arm is visible through the viewing window to indicate the status of the electrical apparatus.
CONTACT DEVICE, HOUSING CASE USED FOR CONTACT DEVICE, AND ELECTROMAGNETIC RELAY EQUIPPED WITH CONTACT DEVICE
A contact device includes: a contact block including fixed contacts and movable contacts brought into contact with and separated from the fixed contacts; and a drive block configured to bring the movable contacts into contact with the fixed contacts and separate the movable contacts from the fixed contacts. The contact block includes: a contact unit including the fixed contacts and the movable contacts; a housing case having a housing space for housing the contact unit; and a window portion provided on a wall portion of the housing case and having higher light transmission than the wall portion.
Encapsulating protective cover for a switch
Methods and devices related to preventing accidental operation of a switch are disclosed. An example device includes a main body, and a latch element rotatably connected to the main body and is configured to move relative to the main body between an unlatched position and a latched position. In the latched position, the main body and the latch element encapsulate the switch. Also, in the latched position, the main body and the latch element form a cavity configured to accommodate wiring to the switch. Further, the main body is configured with a cutout to reveal a status of the switch. The switch has Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) index pin compatibility.
EXTERNALLY MOUNTED FUSE BOX ON A LIQUID-FILLED TRANSFORMER AND METHOD FOR SERVICING
A fuse box mounted on a liquid-filled transformer is disclosed. The fuse box may include one or more fuse link assemblies securing one or more fuses within a base fuse box, a fuse holder coupling the one or more fuse link assemblies within the base fuse box, wherein the one or more fuse link assemblies are pulled-up from the fuse holder by hand to remove the one or more fuse link assemblies from the base fuse box. The fuse box may include a retaining ring to fasten the fuse holder to the one or more fuse link assemblies. The fuse box may include a method for servicing a fuse box on a liquid-filled transformer.
NETWORK TRANSFORMER PRIMARY DISCONNECT ASSEMBLY
A housing assembly for a network transformer primary disconnect assembly is provided. The housing assembly includes a visible break assembly and a number of sidewalls defining an enclosed space. The visible break assembly includes a number of viewing windows in at least one sidewall. The viewing windows are aligned with one of a contact assembly interface or a movable contact assembly distal end in the open, first position.
