Low-force button design
A button for use with an image capture device in an underwater environment that includes a movable plunger configured to cause actuation of the image capture device and upper and lower components collectively defining an internal cavity that is configured to receive the plunger. The upper and lower components are configured and connected such that actuation of the image capture device is prevented until a threshold pressure is applied to the upper component that is greater than external water pressure applied in the underwater environment. The upper component includes at least one opening that is configured to allow water to enter the internal cavity to modify an internal pressure within the internal cavity so as to reduce the threshold pressure required to actuate the image capture device in the underwater environment.
DESIGN METHOD FOR SEALED FUSE HOLDER WITH ISO MICRO RELAY
A novel electrical box to house one or more ISO micro relays, is adapted to support IP67 and IP69K Ingress Protection ratings. The housing of the electrical box is molded with blade sockets that correspond to blade positions of the ISO micro relay. The housing is also molded with terminal seats and cylindrical openings which vary, depending on the blade socket, enabling terminals of different sizes, orientations, and positions relative to the respective blades, to be easily inserted into the back of the housing. The resulting position of the terminals ensures that electrical connections to the ISO micro relay are made and ingress protection of components inside the electrical box is ensured.
Actuator device for change of state of an electronic-control apparatus for underwater use, and corresponding system
The invention relates to an actuator device for change of state of an electronic-control apparatus for underwater use and a system for underwater use comprising the combination of a said actuator device with an electronic-control apparatus for underwater use. The actuator device for change of state of an electronic-control apparatus for underwater use comprises a main body designed to be associated in a stable way with at least part of said apparatus. A peculiarity of the invention is that it comprises, associated with the main body, magnetic-field generator means that interface, in the operating position of the actuator device, with reed-technology sensor means of said apparatus for sending electrical information to means for management and control of the apparatus that are designed to change the state, in particular the state of supply of the apparatus, said management and control means being electrically associated with a supply circuit of the apparatus, which comprises at least one power-supply battery, for the possible opening or closing of the circuit.

High voltage switch with condensation preventing bearing assembly and method therefor
A high voltage electric disconnect switch having a rotatable switch blade in operative arrangement with a rotatable high voltage electrical insulator. A rotating bearing assembly in operative supporting arrangement with a rotatable shaft. The bearing assembly containing corrodible ball bearing assemblies including associated corrodible ball bearing races. The rotatable insulator is operatively mounted to the rotatable shaft. The rotatable shaft has a lower rotatable shaft portion contacting the corrodible ball bearing assemblies housed within a sealed housing of the bearing assembly. An air permeable hydrophobic membrane mounted in a membrane assembly is mounted in an aperture of the housing to eliminate condensing humidity within the housing, thereby preventing corrosion of the corrodible ball bearings and races, freezing water, and lubrication degradation by keeping the surfaces dry to prevent switch failure.

CONTROLLER
A controller is provided for use in a wet environment such as an ablutionary setting. The controller includes a base member, an input member, a seal extending between the input member and the base member, and a sealed internal volume defined at least partially by the base member, the input member, and the seal. The input member is moveable relative to the base member between a neutral position and a control position. The seal biases the input member towards the neutral position.
UNDERWATER DEVICE WITH ROTARY SWITCH AND RELATED SWITCH ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
An underwater device may include a waterproof housing defining a dry cavity and having a nonferrous switch interface wall. The underwater device may include a rotary switch within the dry cavity and including a switch body, and a switch shaft extending outwardly from the switch body. The underwater device may include a first magnetic body within the dry cavity and coupled between the switch shaft and the nonferrous switch interface wall, and a second magnetic body external from the waterproof housing and adjacent the nonferrous switch interface wall in alignment with the first magnetic body so that rotation of the second magnetic body rotates the switch shaft. Each of the first magnetic body and the second magnetic body may include a permanent magnet.

Ingress-tolerant input devices
This disclosure relates to ingress-tolerant input devices. Aspects of the disclosure relate to an ingress-tolerant switch assembly for operating an electronic device in an ingress-protected manner. The switch assembly includes a button configured to be coupled to an outer surface of an enclosure of the electronic device. The switch assembly also includes a spring operably coupled to the button and a magnet coupled to the spring. A pressing force applied by a user to the button overcomes a spring force of the spring to move the magnet into proximity of the magnetic sensor to cause the magnetic sensor to generate a sensor signal for performing a function of the electronic device.
