Communication enabled circuit breakers
Wireless communication enabled circuit breakers are described. Methods associated with such wireless communication enabled circuit breakers are also described. The wireless communication enabled circuit breakers may controlled by a remote entity. The remote entity may wirelessly case the wireless communication enabled circuit breakers to trip.
MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY DEVICE WITH WIRELESSLY CONNECTED FOOT SWITCH
The invention relates to a system (1) comprising a medical technology device (10) controllable via a foot switch (20), and a foot switch (20), wherein the foot switch (20) comprises a transmitter and the medical technology device (10) comprises a receiver for the wireless transmission of unambiguously assignable signals for the control from the foot switch (20) to the medical technology device (10), and wherein the receiver of the medical technology device (10) is designed to measure the signal strength of signals from the foot switch (20), and the medical technology device (10) is designed to emit a warning if the measured signal strength or the signal-to-noise ratio lies below a predefined threshold value.
CIRCUIT PROTECTION DEVICE TRIP DETECTOR
A device (100) for monitoring the status of breakers (20) within a consumer unit (10). The device (100) uses a non-contact, optical sensor (104), such as an IR break-beam sensor (106, 108), or an optical time-of-flight sensor (106, 108) to monitor the positions of the toggle switches (22) on the breakers (20). In the event that one or more of the switches moves to an “off” position (22), an alarm is triggered, such as by sending an SMS message to a user, to alert them of the fact. The device (100) also monitors the consumer unit's power status (1020) and can warn in the event of a power outage of a master isolator or RCD trip. A UPS (1030, 1032, 1034) is suitably provided to enable the device to continue working during a mains power failure.
Real time monitoring and parametric modifications for electronic circuit breakers through a remote device
An electronic circuit breaker provides waveform data wirelessly and alters a breaker code wirelessly. The breaker comprises a transceiver to wirelessly transmit information including waveform data, a microcontroller including a processor and a memory and computer-readable firmware code stored in the memory which, when executed by the processor, causes the microcontroller to: monitor in real-time breaker functional parameters to determine parametric modifications, wirelessly transmit the information that was saved previously in the electronic circuit breaker about the one or more breaker functional parameters to a remote device with a graphical user interface, alter a breaker algorithm after analyzing load data of problematic electrical loads in a mobile application (APP) of the remote device to treat the problematic electrical loads as normal and safe and test the computer-readable firmware code with a problematic electrical load to make sure the electronic circuit breaker doesn't still trip on the problematic electrical load.
