LOCKING APPARATUS FOR A CIRCUIT BREAKER
20170358401 · 2017-12-14 · ·

A locking apparatus for a circuit breaker includes a locking pin including a main body; a rotatably or displaceably mounted definition tip; and a guide including a mating contour. In an embodiment, the locking pin is movably mounted within the guide. The definition tip is in alignment with the locking pin in a first position, such that the locking pin together, with the definition tip, is movable through the guide. Further, the definition tip cannot be moved through the guide in a second position, owing to the deflection of the rotatably and displaceably mounted definition tip of the locking pin.

Switch Guard for a Power Tool
20230197370 · 2023-06-22 ·

This disclosure relates to a switch guard that prevents inadvertent pressing by a user of the direction-control switch of a handheld power tool. On each side of the housing of the tool, a pair of protrusions extend from the housing, one just to the front of the switch and one just to the rear. Whether the power tool is being operated right- or left-handed, the protrusions prevent a user’s thumb or forefinger from inadvertently pressing the direction-control switch while the tool is in operation.

RETROFIT REMOTE CONTROL DEVICES

Remote control devices may control electrical loads and/or load control devices of a load control system without accessing electrical wiring. The remote control device may be mounted over a mechanical switch that is installed in a multi-gang wallbox adjacent to a second electrical device, such as another mechanical switch or an electrical receptacle. The second electrical device may be recessed with respect to the remote control device and may be brought forward towards a front surface of the adapter by loosening a first set of screws that attach a yoke of the second electrical device to the multi-gang wallbox, and tightening a second set of screws that attach the adapter to the yoke of the second electrical device. The remote control device may comprise one or more configurable attachment members for attaching the adapter to the yoke of the mechanical switch and/or to the yoke of the second electrical device.

Hand-held power tool having at least one machine-side contact element

A hand-held power tool, in particular an angle grinder, includes a gearing housing part and an accessory equipment. The gearing housing part includes at least one machine-side contact element. The accessory equipment includes at least one accessory equipment-side contact element. In the mounted state of the accessory on the hand-held power tool, the at least one machine-side contact element comes into contact with the at least one accessory-side contact element.

Operator for an electrical switching apparatus

An operator for an electrical switching apparatus includes an actuator configured to be grasped by a user. A linkage is attached to the actuator at a first end of the linkage and configured for extending through an enclosure housing the electrical switching apparatus. An engagement assembly is attached to the linkage at a second end of the linkage such that when the operator is mounted to the enclosure movement of the actuator outside of the enclosure causes movement of the engagement assembly inside the enclosure. The engagement assembly includes an extension arm attached to the linkage and an attachment member attached to the extension arm. The attachment member is configured to engage a toggle of the electrical switching apparatus in the enclosure to move the toggle between at least two positions.

A fastener is provided for ganging or joining two or more switch handles to one another. The fastener includes a head at one end and an elongated shank extending from the head. The shank includes a threaded portion adjacent the head that threadingly engages one of the switch handles. The shank extends longitudinally from the threaded portion through the threadingly engaged switch handle and through one or more additional switch handles to gang the switch handles to one another.

Automatic control device for padlock

The present invention relates to an automatic control device for a padlock which enables automatic control of the padlock connected to a circuit breaker installed in a distribution board of semiconductor or LCD equipment. In the present invention, a pair of cylinders, which can supply and cut off electric power to and from a load terminal, is directly installed on top of the circuit breaker installed in the distribution board, so that a switch of the circuit breaker is turned on/off as the pair of cylinders selectively operates according to an external control signal. As a result, it is unnecessary to separately install the padlock for switching on/off the circuit breaker.

TOGGLE SWITCH LOCKOUT
20170338063 · 2017-11-23 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a toggle switch lockout for disabling a toggle switch including a baseplate and two parallel legs attached to the baseplate. The parallel legs can be configured to be positioned on either side of a toggle switch. The parallel legs each can have a tapered cutout. The tapered cutouts can be configured to receive a lockout device that maintains the toggle switch in one position. The tapered cutout can be egg-shaped, with one end wider than the other end.
