SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LOCKING A CIRCUIT BREAKER
A circuit breaker includes an accessory pocket, an accessory cover and a locking device to lock the circuit breaker such that an unauthorized switching of the circuit breaker from OFF to ON or from ON to OFF states is prevented. The locking device includes a first subassembly including a pocket housing. The first subassembly is configured to be installed in the accessory pocket. The locking device further includes a second subassembly including a cylinder lock. The second subassembly is configured to be mounted to the accessory cover. The first subassembly and the second subassembly are configured to self align upon final assembly of the circuit breaker to perform a locking function of the circuit breaker. In this way, the locking device prevents circumvention of a locking feature and selectively provides an ability to lock in an ON state of the circuit breaker.
Method of controlling an appliance door position switch for Sabbath mode operation
An appliance includes a position switch retention device for use with an appliance includes a body defining a generally cylindrical profile extending through a first portion thereof along an axis and having a first radius. The body further defines a pin-receiving channel open on at least a first end thereof and positioned within the generally cylindrical profile. The device further includes a first tab extending from a side of the body. The tab defines a ramp and an edge with the ramp extending away from the first end of the body to the edge. A cap extends outwardly from a second end of the body opposite the first end. The cap is spaced apart from the edge of the tab at a first distance and has a second radius greater than the first radius.
FUSIBLE SWITCHING DISCONNECT MODULES AND DEVICES WITH TRIPPING COIL
A fusible switch disconnect device includes a housing adapted to receive at least one fuse therein, and a switchable contact for connecting the fuse to circuitry. A tripping mechanism and control circuitry are provided to move the switchable contact to an open position in response to a predetermined electrical condition.
Electrical switch operated by lockable push button actuator, and retrofit method and kit
A simple kit of parts is provided that can be used to replace a few easily removed elements of a lockable push button actuator of a mechanical locking mechanism to convert the push button actuator to a lockable actuator for controlling a switch that can serve as a component of an electrical locking system. Other aspects of the invention relate to a method of making the mechanical to electrical conversion, and to a lockable actuator for operating an electrical switch connected to the actuator.
LOCK OUT AND TAG OUT CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system including at least one sub-system that includes a first actuator configured to control a supply of a respective energy; a power lockout system including at least one switch configured to open and close an electrical connection between a power supply and the first actuator; a body configured to move between a first position and a second position to open and close the electrical connection; and at least one processor configured to control, during a power down process, the first actuator of the each of the at least one sub-system to reduce the respective energy of the sub-system.
Electric switch
An electric switch, in particular for manually operated electric tools or appliances with an electric motor, is switchable from outside by means of a plunger. A changeover device is provided for setting the direction of rotation of the electric motor, which changeover device can be activated for example by a tappet arranged on the outside. The switch is constructed very compactly, which simplifies the sealing of a switch of this type.
Manual transfer switch interlock device
A switch interlock device for controlling certain switching operations within a switch panel, the switch interlock device including a bracket and an interlock tripping mechanism. The bracket being configured to be coupled to a housing of the switch panel and comprising a face member coupled with a spanning member extending a depth of the housing, the spanning member operably coupled to a back wall of the housing. The interlock tripping mechanism coupled to the face member of the bracket and positioned between a pair of horizontally adjacent switches housed within the housing of the switch panel, the interlock tripping mechanism configured to: restrict the pair of horizontally adjacent switches from both being in an ON position at the same time; and switch one of the pair of horizontally adjacent switches to an OFF position when the other of the pair of horizontally adjacent switches is switched to the ON position.

PROTECTIVE COLLAR FOR ACUTATING ELEMENTS, IN PARTICULAR SWITCHES
The invention relates to a protective collar for at least partially receiving an actuating element which extends through a housing of a control unit and projects beyond an outer side of the housing. The protective collar has a base with a through-opening and a first circumferential collar radially spaced from the through-opening and extending from an upper surface of the base in a first direction. The first collar has at least two cut-outs such that the first collar forms at least two wings, wherein at least one of the wings has at least one predetermined breaking point extending in the circumferential direction.
Lockout system for energy sources
A lockout system includes a hasp assembly and a plurality of tags. The hasp assembly has a back plate defining slots each sized and shaped to receive a tag. The back plate and tags each have openings that align when a tag is received in a slot. A first hasp portion has a first loop portion and a second hasp portion has a second loop portion. The first and second hasp portions are rotatable with respect to one another such that moving the lockout system has both an unlocked position and a locked position associated with an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, the first and second hasp portions complete and define a closed loop, where one or more tags can be installed in slots preventing further movement from the closed position.
