A push-button (100) includes a plunger sub-assembly (10) that comprises a translation-to-rotation converting part (5), a latch part (6) and a latch spring element (56). The latch spring element connects the latch part to the translation-to-rotation converting part so that rotation of the translation-to-rotation converting part caused by a user pressing the push-button drives the latch part into a position where said latch part abuts a relief portion in the internal surface of a casing (30) of the push-button. Such arrangement of the plunger sub-assembly avoids that numerous repeated locking operations damage to the latch part and/or relief portion. Lifetime of the push-button is thus increased.

A rotary/push button controller is provided herein. The controller includes an outer ring being movable, radially at a rotation angle about a rotation axis, and axially along the rotation axis, the outer rings being integrally formed with a centrally disposed shaft, the shaft includes a connection to an electric switch in response to the axial movement of the shaft; an intermediate space between an inner wall of the outer ring and the shaft; an inner ring being disposed in the intermediate space between the inner wall of the outer ring and the shaft coaxially in relation to the shaft and to the outer ring; and a roller bearing having at least two rows of roller bodies, which are situated between the inner wall of the outer ring and the outer wall of the inner ring.

Push Button Switch

The present invention provides a push button switch that prevents an occurrence of non-matching of contacts. The push button switch 1 includes a push-operatable and return-operatable push button 20, the first and second pairs of contacts C.sub.1, C.sub.2 that are respectively transferred to an open state by a push-in operation of the push button 20 and transferred to a contact state by a return operation of the push button 20, and a return-speed increasing means that applies and releases a load relative to the push button 20 during the return operation of the push button 20 and that functions to increase a return speed in the return-operation direction of the push button 20. The inclined angles R of the second inclined surfaces 24.sub.1a, 24.sub.2a of the respective engagement members 24.sub.1, 24.sub.2 is determined such that the second inclined surfaces 24.sub.1a, 24.sub.2a function as the return-speed increasing means.
