09827374 · 2017-11-28 · ·

An injector device includes an injector body that receives a syringe; and an injection assembly being configured to dispense medicament from the syringe in a dispensation step. Certain types of injector devices include a sudden completion indicator that indicates when the injection is completed. Certain types of injector devices are configured to dispense two different medicament formulations having different viscosities from syringes without making any changes to the injector devices other than to switch out the syringes. Certain types of injector devices include safety arrangements that inhibit firing of the injector device until front and rear housing assemblies are disposed in predetermined rotational and axial positions relative to each other.

Fluid dispenser

A fluid dispensing device is provided for dispensing a measured amount of fluid into a living organism. The device has a needle having a first end and a second end. The needle is adapted for interfacing, on the first end, with a septum of a flexible hollow membrane, and at a second end thereof, for subcutaneously inserting into a living organism. The needle is guided by a guide to permit an injection into the living organism at a substantially non-orthogonal angle with respect to a surface of the living organism. The first and second ends of the needle pierce their respective piercing surface while translating together in a common direction. In other embodiments, the dispensing device includes a main housing, a flexible fluid reservoir, an injection assembly and a trigger mechanism. The main housing houses the operative components of the device.

Medicament delivery device configured to produce wireless and audible outputs

An apparatus includes a simulated medicament delivery device and an electronic circuit system. The simulated medicament delivery device includes a housing, and is devoid of a medicament delivery mechanism that causes a medicament to be delivered. The electronic circuit system is coupled to the housing and includes an audible output device and a cover. The housing of the medicament delivery device and the cover of the electronic circuit system collectively define an acoustic enclosure. The audible output device is configured to be disposed within the acoustic enclosure.

ADD-ON FOR MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE WITH MAGNETIC LOCK

A medicament delivery device add-on is described. The medicament delivery device add-on has a first portion and a second portion, the first portion comprising at least one electronic component. The first portion is releasably attached to the second portion by a magnetic lock. Other related apparatus and methods are also described.

MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICES FOR ADMINISTRATION OF A MEDICAMENT WITHIN A PREFILLED SYRINGE

An apparatus includes a housing, a medicament container and a movable member. The medicament container is movable within the housing between a first position and a second position in response to a force produced by an energy storage member. A proximal end portion of the medicament container includes a flange and has a plunger disposed therein. A first shoulder of the movable member exerts the force on the flange to move the medicament container from the first position to the second position. A portion of the first shoulder deforms when the medicament container is in the second position such that at least a portion of the force is exerted upon the plunger. A second shoulder of the movable member exerts a retraction force on the flange to move the medicament container from the second position towards the first position.

A Method of Manufacturing One of a Range of Autoinjectors

A method of manufacturing one of a range of autoinjectors having cartridges (600, 600′, 600″) with different preset fill volumes, the method comprising the steps of: a) providing a front body assembly (100b, 100c, 100c′, 100c″), b) providing a cartridge (600, 600′, 600″) of given fill volume, c) providing a rear body assembly (100a) comprising a spring-driven drive ram assembly (310, 320) configured to drive the piston of a held cartridge (600, 600′, 600″), d) providing a ram spacer member (400, 400′, 400″), the ram spacer member defining a spacing geometry of length dimension (X1′, X1″, X1′″, XS′, XS″, XS′″, XR′, XR″, XR′″) selected according to the fill volume of the cartridge (600, 600′, 600″), and e) assembling a front body assembly (100b, 100c, 100c′, 100c″), the cartridge (600, 600′, 600″), the ram spacer member (400, 400′, 400″) and the rear body assembly (100a) so that the ram spacer member (400, 400′, 400″) is arranged axially between the drive ram assembly (310, 320) of the rear body assembly (100a) and the piston of a held cartridge (600, 600′, 600″).

Cap Assembly for a Medicament

An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament includes an elongate housing arranged to contain a syringe with a hollow needle and a stopper for sealing the syringe and displacing the medicament, the housing having a distal end and a proximal end with an orifice intended to be applied against an injection site. The syringe is slidably arranged with respect to the housing. A spring capable of, upon activation: pushing the needle from a covered position inside the housing into an advanced position through the orifice and past the proximal end (P), operating the syringe to supply the dose of medicament (M), and retracting the syringe with the needle into the covered position. After delivering the medicament, an activator arranged to lock the spring in a pressurized state prior to manual operation and capable of, upon manual operation, releasing the spring for injection.
