Injection device

An injection device comprises an actuator adapted when actuated to cause commencement of an injection sequence; a locking mechanism adapted to be moved between a locked position in which the locking mechanism prevents the actuator from being actuated, and an unlocked position in which the actuator can be actuated to cause commencement of the injection sequence. An indicator is configured to provide a visual indication of whether the locking mechanism is in its locked position or in its unlocked position.

Cartridge Assembly for a Drug Delivery Device and Drug Delivery Device

A cartridge assembly for a drug delivery device is described. The cartridge assembly includes a cartridge containing a drug, the cartridge including a dispensing end; a cartridge holder, the cartridge holder defining an interior cartridge holding section, where the cartridge is arranged within the cartridge holding section; and a fixing feature. The fixing feature includes a fixing surface, in particular a radially oriented surface, which is arranged to abut a cartridge surface of the cartridge, in particular a radially oriented surface, to prevent removal of the cartridge from the cartridge holder such that the cartridge is permanently secured in the cartridge holder. The cartridge surface is a proximal surface which faces away from the dispensing end of the cartridge, wherein the cartridge surface is arranged between the dispensing end of the cartridge and the end opposite of the dispensing end, and wherein the fixing feature is integrated into the cartridge holder.

CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING THE SAME

A cartridge assembly for a drug delivery device is described. The cartridge assembly includes (i) a cartridge containing a drug, the cartridge including a dispensing end; (ii) a cartridge holder, the cartridge holder defining an interior cartridge holding section, in which the cartridge is arranged within the cartridge holding section; and (iii) a fixing member.

The fixing member includes a fixing surface, in particular a radially oriented surface, which is arranged to abut a cartridge surface of the cartridge, in particular a radially oriented surface. The cartridge surface is a proximal surface which faces away from the dispensing end of the cartridge, and the cartridge surface is arranged between the dispensing end of the cartridge and the end opposite of the dispensing end.

The fixing member includes a securing surface which is arranged to abut a holder surface of the cartridge holder to prevent removal of the cartridge from the cartridge holder such that the cartridge is permanently secured in the cartridge holder, and the holder surface is a distal surface of the cartridge holder. Further, a drug delivery device and a method for assembling the cartridge assembly are described.

Multiple dosage injector

A medicament dispensing mechanism is disclosed that is configured to eject successive doses of the medicament from a medicament chamber. An embodiment of the dispensing mechanism includes a housing and a plunger rod configured for ejecting the doses of medicament from the chamber. The dispensing mechanism further includes an actuation mechanism that comprises a trigger associated with the housing and having a ready and a fired position with respect thereto. The trigger is configured for manipulation by a user for successive movement in a generally axial dosing motion from the ready position to the fired position in which the trigger is associated with the plunger rod to cause the plunger rod to eject one of the doses of a predetermined volume and a resetting motion from the fired position to the ready position that comprises axial rotation, wherein the trigger is uncoupled from the plunger rod during the resetting motion.

Medicament packaging

A cartridge (100) for packaging a medicament and being suitable for use with multiple different types of dosing device is described, together with dosing devices and adaptors for dosing devices. The cartridge includes a generally tubular body (102) having an interior cavity (104), a closure member (106) disposed at a distal end of the body and comprising a sealing element (128), a piston member (108) disposed in the cavity to contain the medicament between the piston member and the sealing element (128), a coupling element (114) disposed at the distal end of the body for coupling the cartridge to a dosing device (200) or to an adaptor for a dosing device, and a seal arrangement (126, 129) for receiving a sealing element release member (214) of the dosing device or adaptor. The coupling element (114) is arranged for engagement with an engagement part (220) of the dosing device or adaptor to clip the cartridge (100) to the dosing device or adaptor (200) upon insertion of the cartridge to the dosing device or adaptor, and the seal arrangement (126, 129) is disposed distally with respect to the sealing element (128) and is arranged to form a seal around the release member (214; 254) when the cartridge is coupled to the dosing device or adaptor.

DRIVE MECHANISM
