A SYRINGE SHOCK ABSORBER FOR USE IN AN INJECTION DEVICE
For use in an injection device, e.g., an auto-injector of any type, a sleeve which holds the medicament chamber is sufficiently deformable that it functions as a shock absorbing member to distribute the force exerted on the medicament chamber during use of the injection device.
Device for a Medicament Container
A medicament container holder for securing a medicament container having a generally tubular body arranged with a proximally directed neck portion and a flange portion arranged with a pierceable septum. The medicament container holder has mechanical holding elements that interact with the flange portion for preventing movement of the medicament container in a distal direction and having mechanical fixation elements configured to interact with the flange portion for urging the flange portion in the distal direction against the holding elements, where the medicament container holder has attachment elements for a medicament delivery member. The mechanical fixation elements are configured to engage with the medicament delivery member when attached to the attachment elements, such as to exert a force in the distal direction on said flange portion.
INJECTION DEVICE
An injection device has a plunger for displacing a stopper in a syringe or carpule, a holder for the plunger, a drive for the axial displacement of the holder of the plunger, and a control device functionally assigned to the drive. The plunger, or at least a subcomponent thereof, relative to the holder, the holder is able to move over a limited distance relative to the plunger or a subcomponent thereof, opposing a pretensioning force, in that a sensor device is included which detects the relative position of the plunger, or at least a subcomponent thereof, relative to the holder, which comprises at least one sensor element which works together with the control device. The control device is designed such that, upon activation of the sensor element, the speed of advancement of the holder of the plunger is at least reduced.
TWO BODY SYRINGE CARRIER ASSEMBLY WITH DAMPENER
A two body syringe carrier assembly for use in an injection device is presented where a force dampener is operatively connected to the two bodies to dissipate spring force at the completion of the penetration and/or injection steps. The injection device has a generally elongated tubular housing, a syringe containing medicament and having a needle, a needle shield slidably arranged to the housing and protruding a distance outside the front end of the housing, a plunger arranged to act on the syringe and a pre-tensioned drive member arranged the drive the plunger.
SLEEVE FOR REINFORCING SYRINGE CARTRIDGE
An apparatus for transdermal injection includes a sleeve including a proximal end, a distal end, and an inner wall surface extending along the sleeve from a first opening at the proximal end to a second opening at the distal end. The inner wall surface forms a channel in the sleeve, the channel having a first portion with a substantially frustoconical shape. The channel of the sleeve is configured to receive a substantially frustconically shaped injection cartridge, to substantially uniformly support the injection cartridge during a transdermal injection operation, and to prevent movement of the injection cartridge out of the distal end of the sleeve.
AUTO INJECTOR WITH EFFECTIVE INSERTION SYSTEM
An auto injector for delivery of administering a medicament comprising: a housing; an electrical motor adapted to move a piston between proximal and distal positions in a longitudinal direction of the auto injector; a syringe holder extending from a proximal to a distal end and configured to receive a syringe, a first spring adapted for moving the syringe holder with the syringe proximally for insertion of the needle; wherein the electrical motor is the only motor in the auto injector.
SUPPORT STRUCTURE, MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLYING
The present disclosure relates to a support structure for a medicament container used in a medicament delivery device. The support structure accommodates an elongated plunger rod and a drive spring and can have a tubular body having a predetermined radial dimension, a longitudinal axis (A), a distal end and a proximal end and at least one first flexible element arranged at the proximal end of the tubular body and having the same radial outer and inner dimensions as the tubular body. The flexible element is provided with a contact member with an outer radial dimension extending the outer dimension of the tubular body for compensating of manufacturing tolerances of the medicament containers made of glass.
Syringe shock absorber for use in an injection device
An injection device, for example, an auto-injector of any type, includes a sleeve configured to hold a medicament chamber. The sleeve may be sufficiently deformable such that it functions as a shock absorbing member to distribute the force exerted on the medicament chamber during use of the injection device.
AUTO INJECTOR WITH DETECTION OF USED CARTRIDGE AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
Disclosed is an auto-injector for administering a medicament, comprising: a housing; a cartridge receiver configured to receive a cartridge comprising a first stopper; a drive module coupled to move a plunger rod configured to move the first stopper; a resistance sensor configured to provide a resistance signal indicative of resistance against movement of the plunger rod; and a processing unit coupled to the drive module and to the resistance sensor. The processing unit being configured to: control the drive module to move the plunger rod towards the extended plunger rod position; determine present plunger rod position; receive the resistance signal; determine a cartridge parameter based on the resistance signal and the present plunger rod position; and control the drive module to adjust the movement of the plunger rod based on the cartridge parameter.
Medicament container holder
The present invention relates to a medicament container holder (10) comprising a body (12) adapted to receive a medicament container (14), the body (12) comprising proximally directed tongues (38) at its proximal end, engagement elements (42) arranged at the proximal end of the tongues (38), directed inwards, which engagement elements (42) are arranged to engage a neck portion (46) of the medicament container (14); wherein the tongues (38) deflect radially outwards when engaged by a needle shield (16) of said medicament container (14). The invention is characterized in that said tongues (38) with said engagement elements (42), engage with said neck portion (46) of said medicament container (14) for preventing the medicament container (14) from moving in a proximal direction relative the medicament container holder (10), when disengaged with said needle shield, wherein said tongues (38) are in a stressed state when in engagement with said neck portion (46).
