A system comprising a drug delivery device and a cartridge provided with a bung and and a method of identifying the cartridge

The present invention relates to a bung (20), to a drug containing cartridge (10) and to a drug delivery device, wherein the bung (20) comprises a coding feature (28) for carrying information regarding at least one of the cartridge (10) and the content of the cartridge (10). Furthermore, it relates to a method for identifying a cartridge (10) containing a medicinal product.

Medication delivery device with sensing system

A medication delivery device with a sensing system to determine at least one of a dose set and a dose delivery. The sensing system is operable to detect relative rotational positions of first and second members of the device which are indicative of at least one of an amount of a dose set and an amount of a dose delivered by operation of the device, and generate outputs correlated to such relative rotational positions. The system includes a wiper coupled to the first member, and a sensing band coupled to the second member for physically contacting the wiper as the second member rotates relative to the first member. A controller electrically communicates with the sensing system to determine, based on the generated outputs of the sensing system, at least one of the amount of the dose set and the amount of the dose delivered by operation of the device.

Medicament delivery devices

A medicament delivery device (100; 300; 400) comprises a chassis (124), a drive element (166) for driving a stopper (22) to expel the medicament through a cannula (144). A carrier (126) is arranged for movement with respect to the chassis (124). Insertion means (130, 202) biases the carrier (126) in an insertion direction. A control part (132) is biased for rotation with respect to the carrier (126). A locking element (176) prevents rotation of the control part (132) in an initial state. The locking element (176) is coupled to the drive element (166) such that the control part (132) is released for rotation when the drive element (166) reaches an activation position during a delivery stroke. Rotation of the control part (132) through a predetermined angle causes decoupling of the insertion means (130, 202) from the carrier (126) to allow movement of the carrier (126) in a retraction direction after the end of the delivery stroke.

Drive Mechanism for use in a Drug Delivery Device

The disclosure is directed to a drive mechanism for use in a drug delivery device having a cartridge, the mechanism comprising a base element, a toothed piston rod movable from a first retracted position corresponding to a full cartridge to a second extended position corresponding to an empty cartridge, wherein the piston rod is guided within and movable relative to the base portion, and a drive gear having a pinion, which is rotatably held in the base element and in meshed engagement with the toothed piston rod, wherein the toothed piston rod comprises multiple rigid rod pieces which are connected by hinges, and a drive spring, which is fixed to the base element with one end and fixed to the drive gear with another end and which exerts a force or torque to the drive gear for rotating the drive gear relative to the base element, which rotation results in a movement of the toothed piston rod. The drive spring is charged during manufacture or assembly, wherein the energy stored in the drive spring is sufficient to move the piston rod (from the first to the second position. The disclosure is also directed to a drug delivery device.

NOVEL DEVICE FOR OPHTHALMIC DELIVERY

Described herein is an intracameral therapeutic agent delivery device in the form of a pen-injector comprising a cartridge container for dispensing multiple doses of a medicament, coupled to an actuation assembly within a housing. A needle assembly is coupled to the distal end of the cartridge container, provided with a removable cap received within the housing will be in optional pre-sterile or no-sterile condition. Use of such device for the prevention or treatment of ocular conditions or diseases is also disclosed.

AUTO INJECTOR WITH EFFECTIVE INSERTION SYSTEM

An auto injector for delivery of administering a medicament comprising: a housing; an electrical motor adapted to move a piston between proximal and distal positions in a longitudinal direction of the auto injector; a syringe holder extending from a proximal to a distal end and configured to receive a syringe, a first spring adapted for moving the syringe holder with the syringe proximally for insertion of the needle; wherein the electrical motor is the only motor in the auto injector.

20220226577 · 2022-07-21 ·

The present disclosure relates to a support structure for a medicament container used in a medicament delivery device. The support structure accommodates an elongated plunger rod and a drive spring and can have a tubular body having a predetermined radial dimension, a longitudinal axis (A), a distal end and a proximal end and at least one first flexible element arranged at the proximal end of the tubular body and having the same radial outer and inner dimensions as the tubular body. The flexible element is provided with a contact member with an outer radial dimension extending the outer dimension of the tubular body for compensating of manufacturing tolerances of the medicament containers made of glass.

Cartridge insertion for drug delivery device

A method and assembly are disclosed for interfacing between a drug cartridge and a drug delivery device. Optionally, the drug delivery device includes a compartment that retains the cartridge during drug delivery and/or a stopper pushing assembly mounted to the device behind (proximal to) the compartment.
