Cartridge holder assembly for drug delivery device
A cartridge holder assembly is provided, comprising an enclosed cartridge, a distal portion and a proximal portion. The enclosed cartridge defines a longitudinal axis and comprises a generally cylindrical main portion, a distal outlet portion having a neck portion with a circumferential shoulder portion, and a proximal portion having an opening surrounded by a circumferential rim. The distal portion comprises a distal support structure engaging the cartridge neck portion and being adapted to support the cartridge against movement in the distal direction, and the proximal portion comprises a proximal support structure engaging the cartridge circumferential rim and being adapted to support the cartridge against movement in the proximal direction. The proximal support structure is essentially non-deformed, and the distal support structure engaging the cartridge neck portion is plastically deformed.
CASSETTE AND MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE COMPRISING CASSETTE
A cassette for a medicament delivery device having a base unit is disclosed, where the cassette has a longitudinal axis defining a proximal direction and a distal direction; a body for accommodating a medicament container; a medicament delivery member; and a cap connected to the body through a connector, the cap enclosing a proximal end of the body; wherein the connector is disconnected when a distal force acting on the body in the distal direction and relative to the cap when the cassette is attached to the base unit. A medicament delivery device containing the cassette is also provided.
Cartridge assembly having shared fastening means and drug delivery device
A cartridge assembly (200) having a shared fastening features for use with a drug delivery device (202). The cartridge assembly includes a cartridge holder (204), a drug cartridge (206), and a connector (208). The connector may be attached to the drug cartridge. The cartridge assembly further includes a fastening means (210, 212) for fastening to a drug delivery device, and this fastening means is shared between the cartridge holder and the cartridge or between the cartridge holder and the connector. The drug delivery device may be a reusable drug delivery device or a disposable drug delivery device.
Mechanical injection pump and method of use
A mechanical injection pump wearable by a user to deliver a first fluid and a second fluid, including: a pump body having a first fluid chamber to hold the first fluid and a second fluid chamber to hold the second fluid; a common connector having a first inlet, a second inlet, and a common outlet; a first fluid system including the first fluid chamber, a first button drive connected to the first fluid chamber, and first fluid delivery path between the first fluid chamber and the first inlet; and a second fluid system including the second fluid chamber, a second button drive connected to the second fluid chamber, and second fluid delivery path between the second fluid chamber and the second inlet. Force by the user on the button drive increases pressure within the fluid chamber to drive a predetermined volume of the fluid from the fluid chamber.
AUTO INJECTOR WITH EFFECTIVE INSERTION SYSTEM
An auto injector for delivery of administering a medicament comprising: a housing; an electrical motor adapted to move a piston between proximal and distal positions in a longitudinal direction of the auto injector; a syringe holder extending from a proximal to a distal end and configured to receive a syringe, a first spring adapted for moving the syringe holder with the syringe proximally for insertion of the needle; wherein the electrical motor is the only motor in the auto injector.
Apparatus for Detecting a Dose of Medicament Delivered from an Injection Device
In order to address a common need for cost efficient capturing of data relative to dosage and administration time in self-medication schemes, the present disclosure proposes an apparatus with an accessory and an injection device, wherein the accessory attaches and detaches to the injection device, the accessory housing a control unit; and the injection device includes a passive electronic arrangement and the control unit is configured to use the passive electronic arrangement to determine information correlating to a dose of medicament injected.
Medicament container holder for a medicament delivery device and method of assembling a medicament delivery device
A medicament container holder for a medicament delivery device is presented having a C-shaped tubular body having a longitudinal gap extending along the entire axial extension of the C-shaped tubular body, which C-shaped tubular body is configured to be placed around a medicament container, wherein the C-shaped tubular body has a first axial end provided with an end flange extending radially inwards and configured to bear against a neck of a medicament container, and wherein the first axial end is provided with a lip extending proximally from the end flange.
Medicament injector and interchangeable cartridges therefor
The present invention relates to a medicament injector including an applicator with a cartridge-accepting receptacle. The medicament injector includes interchangeable, pre-filled medicament-containing cartridges. Each cartridge includes at least one barrier member having a closed position in which access to the medicament is inhibited. The barrier member is moveable from the closed position to an open position, in which the medicament is accessible via the applicator, when the cartridge is inserted into the cartridge-accepting receptacle. The barrier member moves back to the closed position when the cartridge is removed from the cartridge-accepting receptacle. This allows for a plurality of pre-filled medicament cartridges to be selected on demand via a need-based scenario for quick assembly with the medicament injector for use in various clinical scenarios to reduce the bulk, errors, complexity, and steps in medicament delivery while increasing the versatility, safety, and speed of medicament delivery in time critical situations.
CONTAINER HOLDER FOR ADAPTING SMALLER DIAMETER CONTAINER
A housing suitable for use with one of a plurality of containers containing a medical substance, wherein the plurality of containers have different outer diameters, the housing comprising: one or more internal projections at a distal side of the housing for blocking distal movement of a first container when the first container is received within the housing, wherein the first container has a first external diameter; one or more inwardly projecting ridges provided proximally from said one or more internal projections, wherein the ridges are suitable for blocking distal movement of a container holder which holds a second container when the container holder is received within the housing, wherein the second container has a second external diameter which is smaller than the first external diameter.
PREFILLED DISPOSABLE INJECTION DEVICE
The present invention relates to drug delivery systems that cannot be reloaded or reused and further include a passive safety shield system. The drug delivery devices described herein comprise a drug container comprising at least one bellow, wherein the at least one bellow comprises a first surface and an opposing second surface, wherein the first surface is comprised of a first Belleville spring and the opposing second surface is comprised of a second Belleville spring, wherein the second Belleville spring has a higher spring rate than the first Belleville spring; or a drug container extending between distal and proximal ends, and comprises a continuous change in cross section from proximal end to distal end; a needle, wherein the needle is in liquid communication with the drug container; a plunger extending between a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the plunger is in communication with the drug container and where upon axial movement of the punger, the drug container is compressed; a main body extending between a proximal end and a distal end and comprising an inner body and an outer body, wherein the inner body houses the plunger and the drug container and the outer body is capable of sliding over the inner body and extending past the needle; and a spring located between the inner body and the outer body for urging the outer body to slide over the inner body and extend past the needle.
