SYRINGE ASSEMBLY
A syringe assembly includes: a syringe including: a puncture needle having a needle tip, and a barrel holding the puncture needle; a hollow cylindrical grip fitted on an outer peripheral portion of the barrel; and a protective device including a hollow cylindrical cover member that is axially displaceable relative to the barrel, the protective device being configured such that the cover member covers at least part of the puncture needle in an initial state, the cover member is displaceable in a proximal direction relative to the barrel by being pressed against an object to be punctured when the puncture needle is inserted into the object to be punctured, and the cover member is configured to cover the needle tip after insertion of the puncture needle into the object to be punctured.
Carpule retentive sleeve with internal stopper retainer for aspirating syringe
A carpule retentive sleeve with internal stopper retainer for use with an aspirating syringe is disclosed. The carpule retentive sleeve includes a tubular body. At one end of the tubular body is a collar and a stopper retaining sleeve. The tubular body, the collar, and the stopper retaining sleeve are hollow members. Accordingly, a channel runs along the entire length of the carpule retentive sleeve. Further, a method is provided of retrofitting a standard aspirating syringe with the presently disclosed carpule retentive sleeve. Further, a method is provided of using the presently disclosed carpule retentive sleeve to retain a stopper inside the anesthetic carpule.
Stopper Assembly for Prefilled Injection Device
The present disclosure relates to a stopper assembly configured to be disposed in a barrel of an injection device containing a medicinal fluid. The stopper assembly includes a stopper having a laterally outermost surface configured to be directly engaged with an inner surface of the barrel. The stopper assembly also includes a sealing element coupled to and axially distal relative to the stopper in the barrel. The sealing element having a laterally outermost surface configured to be directly engaged with the inner surface of the barrel and to sealingly isolate the stopper from the medicinal fluid in the barrel. The present disclosure further relates to an injection device including the stopper assembly.
Methods and systems for mating disposable syringes with pneumatic drivers without breaking sterility
A pneumatic driver for a syringe is provided. The syringe has an elongated barrel with a cap secured to the proximal end that has a through bore. A filter is secured to the cap interior of the barrel that covers an opening in the through bore interior of the barrel. The pneumatic driver includes a source of pressurized air; a support for receiving and locating the syringe; and a supply block configured to receive pressurized air from the source and having an outlet for delivery of pressurized air. The supply block is movable between a first position spaced apart from the cap of the syringe and a second position in contact with the cap with fluid communication being established between the outlet of the supply block and the through-bore in the cap.
MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE WITH NEEDLE CARRIER
Drug delivery devices are provided having a needle assembly portion and a drug device portion, where the needle assembly portion is removably coupleable to the drug device portion. In some embodiments, the needle of the needle assembly may be moveable between a retracted position and an extended position for piercing into a subjects skin.
COMMON INJECTION DEVICE
A common injection device is assembled with an injection needle containing a drug, and the common injection device has a needle bushing, a drug-information providing portion disposed on the needle bushing, and an injection propulsion mechanism detachably connected to the needle bushing. The needle bushing and the drug-information providing portion are pre-installed on the injection needle, the drug-information providing portion provides readable drug information of the drug, and a user can confirm that the drug is correct through the readable drug-information providing portion. Then, the injection propulsion mechanism is used to connect the needle bushing, and the injection action is performed according to the drug information to ensure the safety of injection. The injection propulsion mechanism is of a general type and is reusable, and it is not necessary to make a specific or dedicated injection device according to the injection needles equipped with different drugs, thereby reducing unnecessary waste and reducing cost.
SYSTEM FOR LOW-TEMPERATURE STORAGE OF A PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION, LIQUID COMPOSITION, METHOD AND USES
A system for storing a pharmaceutical composition at low temperatures includes: a pharmaceutical container having a barrel, a stopper which fluidly closes a first end of the barrel, and a closure which fluidly closes a second end of the barrel; and a liquid pharmaceutical composition and a gas both arranged within the barrel of the container between the stopper and the closure.
PRE-FILLED MANUAL INJECTOR APPARATUS
Provided herein is a pre-filled manual apparatus and methods of use thereof. The pre-filled manual apparatus includes a repository corticotropin pharmaceutical composition for an adult patient 18 years old in need thereof to deliver a one-time use dose only. The manual injector apparatus is capable of being stored at room temperature for up to 24 hours prior to administration and the repository corticotropin pharmaceutical composition is a naturally sourced complex mixture comprising N-25 deamidated porcine ACTH (1-39).
Self-administered injection device and method
An injection device kit for the self-administration of an injection of solution that includes a body portion configured for engagement with a cartridge containing the solution and an injection needle where the body portion includes an injection component having an actuation mechanism for inserting the injection needle of the cartridge and for injecting the solution in the cartridge and a safety mechanism on the body portion and configured to prevent injection unless released.
EMERGENCY DEVICES
Described herein are syringe devices comprising a syringe including a therapeutic dose of at least one drug to be used in a drug or substance overdose.
