The module has at least one dose detection sensor configured for detecting an initiation, progression, and completion of the dosing procedure based on a position of a stopper within the container. The module further has at least one temperature sensor configured for measuring a temperature of the medical fluid within the container based on a temperature of the container.
Components and sub-assemblies for medicament delivery devices
The present disclosure provides a sub-assembly for a medicament delivery device. The sub-assembly includes a tubular rotator, a tubular housing, and a syringe support. The rotator includes a protrusion extending from an outer surface of the rotator. The syringe support includes a helically extending slot on an inner surface of the syringe support, the protrusion being in the helically extending slot. The syringe support includes an axially extending slot on an outer surface of the syringe support. The housing includes an axially extending rib extending from an inner surface of the housing, the axially extending rib being in the axially extending slot.
Pinch Clamp Devices, Methods, and Systems
A method of controlling flow through a flexible tube includes providing a pinch clamp mechanism including a pinching element and a pinching surface configured to apply a force on the flexible tube when the flexible tube is positioned between the pinching element and the pinching surface. The method also includes displacing the pinching element relative to the pinching surface with a mechanical drive unit and biasing the pinching element toward the pinching surface with a spring.
Carpule Retentive Sleeve With Internal Stopper Retainer For Aspirating Syringe
A carpule retentive sleeve with internal stopper retainer for use with an aspirating syringe is disclosed. The carpule retentive sleeve includes a tubular body. At one end of the tubular body is a collar and a stopper retaining sleeve. The tubular body, the collar, and the stopper retaining sleeve are hollow members. Accordingly, a channel runs along the entire length of the carpule retentive sleeve. Further, a method is provided of retrofitting a standard aspirating syringe with the presently disclosed carpule retentive sleeve. Further, a method is provided of using the presently disclosed carpule retentive sleeve to retain a stopper inside the anesthetic carpule.
INFUSATE TUBING CLAMP SYSTEMS FOR INFUSION PUMPS
An infusate tubing clamp system for an infusion pump includes at least one movable tubing holder for removably securing a portion of infusate tubing. An actuator is operatively coupled to the at least one movable tubing holder. When the actuator is activated, the at least one movable tubing holder responsively and reversibly moves to a position that compressively clamps the portion of infusate tubing with sufficient force to temporarily and reversibly occlude the infusate tubing.
STERILE PROTECTIVE COVER COMPRISING A DEVICE FOR OPTHALMIC DELIVERY
Described herein does a sterile protective cover comprise an intracameral therapeutic agent delivery device in the form of a pen-injector comprising a cartridge container for dispensing multiple doses of a medicament, coupled to an actuation assembly within a housing. A needle assembly is coupled to the distal end of the cartridge container, provided with a removable cap received within the housing will be in optional pre-sterile or no-sterile condition. Use of such device for the prevention or treatment of ocular conditions or diseases is also disclosed. A sterile protective cover comprising ophthalmic device, wherein the sterile protective cover is made of plastic, polythene, polyethylene, resin, rubber, polystyrene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, nylon, or combination thereof. More, particularly the present invention relates to a novel ophthalmic device of reduced length and diameter in the form of a pen-injector for precise and controlled delivery of different doses of a therapeutic agent by introducing a unique Pen grip for the device. The present invention also depicts a novel ophthalmic device comprising a multimode power on-off button that would also work with a Pulse mode to deliver a fixed quantity of medicament and also double up as a speed control to control the rate of injection and might be used with dermal filler.
Expulsion assembly of a medicament delivery device
An expulsion assembly (100) of a medicament delivery device (102) for expelling medicament from a medicament container structure (250), the expulsion assembly comprising a container holder (125) having a container proximal end (212) and a container distal end (214), the container holder being configured to house the medicament container structure, and an axially extending needle cover (123), the needle cover having a needle cover proximal end (202) comprising a tubular shaped needle cover portion (206), and a needle cover distal end (204), wherein the container holder is at least partly enclosed by the needle cover, wherein a portion (121) of the outer surface of the container holder (125) and a portion (129) of the needle cover form an interface section (127) comprising an axially extending groove (220) and a protrusion (222) in which the container holder and the needle cover are arranged in abutment with each other.
SELF-ADMINISTERED INJECTION DEVICE AND METHOD
An injection device kit for the self-administration of an injection of solution that includes a body portion configured for engagement with a cartridge containing the solution and an injection needle where the body portion includes an injection component having an actuation mechanism for inserting the injection needle of the cartridge and for injecting the solution in the cartridge and a safety mechanism on the body portion and configured to prevent injection unless released.
Self-Administered Injection Device And Method
SYRINGE
The present invention provides a next-generation pre-filled syringe having a reduced number of components and requiring reduced costs and including a safety mechanism for preventing needlestick injuries. In the syringe of the present invention, elastic engagement members 11 of the cover 6 engage the injection needle 5 so as to prevent the injection needle 5 from being withdrawn from the elastic engagement members 11 of the cover in a retracted state toward the base end, and the elastic engagement members and injection needle are disengaged from each other as the elastic engagement members 11 are diametrically expanded/deformed. Further, the plunger 4 includes an integrated deformation-prevention part 41 covering the outer peripheries of the plurality of elastic engagement members 11 so as to prevent the elastic engagement members 11 and the injection needle 5 from being disengaged from each other as the elastic engagement members 11 are diametrically expanded/deformed.
