Method and device for the needle-free injecting of fluid into a substrate
A method and a device for needleless injection of liquid into a substrate, in particular of a liquid pharmaceutical or cosmetic preparation into a biological tissue, which makes it possible in a particularly advantageous manner to reliably inject a particularly fine liquid jet into the substrate without a significant increase in the static pressure in the liquid during the injection process. According to the invention, this is achieved by first accelerating the liquid received in a liquid container together with the latter to an initial velocity before the movement of the liquid container is stopped again, while simultaneously ejecting the liquid from the liquid container through an outlet nozzle under at least partial retention of its movement. Preferably, the ejected liquid jet is set in rotation about its jet axis before it impinges on the substrate, so that the jet receives a helical movement and thus practically drills into the substrate without splashing away laterally.
Needle-free injectors and design parameters thereof that optimize injection performance
A needle free injector system and a method for delivering a formulation using this system are disclosed. The method comprises actuating a needle free injector to pressurize a liquid formulation and force the formulation through an orifice in a skin puncture phase followed by injection of the formulation during a delivery phase. The skin puncture phase is defined by a pressure profile vs. time curve after actuation which has a main pressure peak with a maximum pressure. The delivery phase occurs at a lower pressure than the maximum pressure of the main peak pressure. The device may have one or more orifices and pressurizing the formulation during the puncture phase and delivery phase to extrude the formulation through each orifice is structured so as to improve characteristics of needle free delivery.
NEEDLE-FREE INJECTION GUIDE
An injection guide globally aligns an injector to an angle selected for consistent subcutaneous delivery of an injectate, while locally aligning a patient's skin normal to the injection path at the location where the injection pierces the skin. This arrangement advantageously maintains controlled contact between an injector and a subject's skin in order to deliver the full, intended volume of injectate into the patient's subcutaneous layer while avoiding misdelivery into adjacent layers such as the patient's dermis or muscle.
NEEDLE-FREE TRANSDERMAL INJECTION DEVICE
An apparatus for use in injectate delivery includes an actuator including a linkage, a force generating mechanism mechanically coupled to the linkage, and a controller coupled to the force generating mechanism. The force generating mechanism includes a passive force generator and an active force generator. In operation and on the basis of a control signal, the controller is configured to control the force generating mechanism to provide an input force to the linkage that is a combination of the first force provided by the passive force generator and a second force provided by the active force generator.
INJECTION SYSTEM USING NEEDLELESS SYRINGE
An injection system of the present invention comprises a needleless syringe; a transfer passage which connects a first space for accommodating a plurality of injection targets and a second space as a transfer destination of the plurality of injection targets, the transfer passage being installed with the needleless syringe so that an emission port of the needleless syringe is open at inside of the transfer passage; a detecting unit which is capable of detecting transfer through the transfer passage in order for the injection target existing in the first space to go toward the second space; and a control unit which performs emission of the injection objective substance from the emission port of the needleless syringe for every injection target in accordance with the transfer of the injection target, if the transfer of the injection target is detected by the detecting unit. Accordingly, the load exerted on an operator is mitigated as far as possible and the occurrence of various problems concerning the hygiene is suppressed when the injection is performed for a large number of the injection targets such as domestic animals or the like.

The invention relates to a device for injecting a medium into or underneath the skin with a series of pressure pulses. The device includes a reservoir (1) for the medium, an application unit (10) to inject the medium into or under the skin, a hydraulic high-pressure pump (6) to pump the medium out of the reservoir (1) into the applicator unit (10), and an electronic control unit (11) that is suitable for regulating the applicator unit (10) such that the medium is injected with a series of pressure pulses into or underneath the skin.
HYDRAULIC ASSEMBLY OF A GENERATOR OF MEDIUM-PRESSURE AND HIGH-PRESSURE PULSED OR NON-PULSED JETS
The present application relates to a hydraulic assembly (100) of a generator of medium-pressure and high-pressure pulsed or non-pulsed jets comprising a hydraulic pipe: (101) comprising a flexible deformable zone (103) that can have a state of rest and a shut-off state, and a unit (102) configured to hold the hydraulic pipe (101) and comprising a first clamp (110) and a second clamp (111) holding the hydraulic pipe (101) on each side of the flexible deformable zone (103), and an open space (112) defined between the first clamp (110) and the second clamp (111).

The outer piston is slideably disposed in a chamber of the apparatus and has a channel extending therethrough. The piston mechanism also includes an inner piston including a stop and a plunger element, the plunger element being slideably disposed in the channel of the outer piston. The piston mechanism is configurable into a number of configurations including a first configuration in which the stop of the inner piston is not in contact with the outer piston such that the inner piston is movable in the channel without causing movement of the outer piston and a second configuration in which the stop of the inner piston is in contact with the outer piston such that the inner piston and the outer piston move together in the chamber.
Rotary motor based transdermal injection device
An apparatus for injectate delivery includes a cartridge, a linear actuator, a rotary motor mechanically coupled the actuator, and a controller coupled to the motor. The controller controls a linear motion of the actuator by controlling an electrical input supplied to the motor in a first interval during which the motor is stationary with the linear actuator engaged with the cartridge to displace an injectate in the cartridge, a second interval following the first interval during which the controller accelerates the motor from stationary to a first speed selected to create a jet of the injectate from the cartridge with a velocity sufficient to pierce human tissue to a subcutaneous depth, a third interval during which the controller maintains the motor at or above the first speed, and a fourth interval during which the controller decelerates the motor to a second speed to deliver the injectate at the subcutaneous depth.
