Various high voltage systems may benefit from a suitable relay system. For example, a relay box may be provided with a shock and vibration resistant arrangement including a sealed coil box within the sealed relay box. For example, an apparatus can include a coil box containing coils, inside pole pieces, and permanent magnets, wherein the coils, inside pole pieces, and permanent magnets can be configured to actuate an armature assembly external to the coil box. The apparatus can also include outside pole pieces configured to move a relay armature of the armature assembly responsive to energizing of the coils. Moving the relay armature can include overcoming a latching of at least one of the permanent magnets.

The present invention relates to an electromagnetic contactor, and more particularly, to an electromagnetic contactor for star-delta driving, which is capable of rapidly and safely switching a connection of a 3-phase motor from a star connection to a delta connection and simplifying configurations of a connection circuit and an opening/closing device. According to the electromagnetic contactor for star-delta driving and a control device thereof of the present invention, the connection of the 3-phase motor can be switched rapidly and safely from the star connection to the delta connection, and the configuration of the connection circuit and a control circuit of a power supply thereof and a magnetic switch configuration can be simplified, and thus, there is an effect of saving space by reducing the size and weight of a product and reducing the numbers of power wirings and control circuit wirings. In addition, a magnetic switch between star and delta connections is interlocked by using a timer and an auxiliary contact, so as to improve the convenience of an operator and reduce construction time. In addition, because a timer base and the control device are ready-made in the form of manufactured goods, it is easy to use the products and there is very little risk of causing a misconnection in the control device. Thus, there are effects of improving the safety of a construction operator at a construction site and a general user, and improving driving components and circuit protection.

A relay circuit includes a contact relay and a voltage generating circuit. The contact relay includes an electrical contact and a coil. The coil drives the electrical contacts. The voltage generating circuit generates an application voltage to the coil. The electrical contact is closed when the application voltage exceeds the operating voltage of the contact relay and is opened when the application voltage falls below the return voltage of the contact relay that is lower than the operating voltage. The voltage generating circuit closes the electrical contact by generating an application voltage such that the application voltage exceeds the operating voltage, and then generates an application voltage such that the application voltage is held at a step-down voltage lower than the operating voltage and higher than the return voltage.

Electromagnetic relay

A main fixed contact and a main moving contact are disposed on the front side of a coil, and an auxiliary fixed contact and an auxiliary moving contact are arranged above the coil in a housing. An auxiliary contact terminal includes an upper piece extending above the coil and provided with the auxiliary fixed contact or the auxiliary moving contact, a side piece connected to the upper piece and extending downward from the upper piece and disposed on a side of the coil, and a connecting piece connected to the side piece and provided so as to protrude outward from the housing. The side piece is press-fitted into a press-fitting portion formed in a coil bobbin, and the press-fitting portion includes an opening into which the side piece is press-fitted and a restriction wall formed around the opening so as to face the side piece.
