Device and Method for Determining Information Related to a Medical Device
The invention relates to an apparatus (2, 3), comprising a mating unit (20-1, 20-2) for releasably attaching the apparatus (2) to a medical device (1) or for releasably receiving at least a part of the medical device (1). The apparatus (2, 3) further comprises one or more optical sensors (25, 26) and/or one or more acoustical sensors (27) for determining information related to a condition and/or use of the medical device (1). The invention further relates to a system comprising such an apparatus (2, 3) and such a medical device (1), to a method (500, 600, 700) and a computer program (61) for determining information related to a condition and/or use of such a medical device (1), and to a computer-readable medium (60) storing such a computer program (61).
Palm Activated Drug Delivery Device
Disclosed is a device for the parenteral delivery of a medication, such as a drug. The device includes upper and lower housings in which the upper housing is configured to move relative to the lower housing as a result of application of an external force to permit the user of the device to control the rate at which the drug is administered.
Device for subcutaneous delivery of fluid medicament
An improved device delivers a fluid medicament to the subcutaneous tissue of a user. The device is better suited for patients with Parkinson's Disease and other central nervous system disorders, than conventional infusion devices. The device can include a reusable part including a drive component (e.g., motor) and control electronics and a disposable part including a medicament reservoir. Medicament can be evacuated from the medicament reservoir by a plunger assembly that includes a plunger attached to a lead screw that is rotated by a nut, all within the disposable part. The device can be fluidically coupled with the tissue via a flexible cannula. Various embodiments relate to an improved cannula insertion mechanism that delivers the cannula under a force applied by a spring. Various embodiments relate to improved filling of the device, for example, using a vial adapter and an automated filling station.
INJECTION HEAD AND CHEMICAL INJECTION DEVICE COMPRISING SAME
A chemical-liquid injection head including a syringe holding unit which holds a syringe in which a piston member is slidably inserted into a cylinder member having a circular cylindrical shape, a piston driving mechanism having a ram member for moving the piston member of the syringe, and a first light emitting portion which emits light with a first color and illuminates the syringe and a second light emitting portion which emits light with a second color and illuminates the syringe. The first light emitting portion and the second light emitting portion, viewed in a posture at the time of use of the injection head, are provided at an upper side of the ram member.
Two-stage reconstituting injector
An injector (10) for injecting a medicament into a patient. The injector includes a container (18) defining a first chamber (22), which contains a fluid therein, and a second chamber (23). The injector also includes an injection conduit (126) configured for directing the fluid fired from the container into the patient. A transfer mechanism is operable by a user to transfer the fluid from the first chamber to the second chamber in a first stage of operation, and a firing mechanism is operable by the user for firing the fluid from the second chamber through the injection conduit in a second stage of operation. An energy source (62) is in powering association with the firing mechanism to drive firing mechanism in the first and second stages.
Palm activated drug delivery device
A device configured to administer a medication can comprise a lower housing that includes a housing latch. The device can further comprise a needle guard that is movable relative to the lower housing along a first direction from a first position to a second position so as to expose a needle, and an upper housing supported relative to the lower housing. The upper housing can be configured to move with respect to the lower housing along a second direction from a pre-use position to a dispensed position. The housing latch can releasably interfere with the upper housing when the upper housing is in the pre-use position so as to prevent the upper housing from moving toward the dispensed position, and the movement of the needle guard toward the second position, causes the interference to be removed, thereby allowing the upper housing to move toward the second position.
Counting mechanism
A counting mechanism (100) for a dispenser comprising: a first and a second housing part (110, 120) that are rotatable relative to each other; and a counting ring (130) disposed between the housing parts. The first housing part has a protrusion (111) which abuts the counting ring, holding a portion of the counting ring in contact with the second housing part. The relative rotation of the housing parts causes the protrusion to slide against the surface of the counting ring to drive a rolling movement of the counting ring around the circumference of the second housing part, such that a predefined rotation of the housing parts produces an incremental rotational displacement between the counting ring and second housing part to record a count. The counting mechanism provides a large gear reduction ratio in a compact form which is straightforward to manufacture and provides an accurate and reliable record of counts.
ACCESSORY DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR MEDICINE ADMINISTRATION AND TRACKING
An accessory for use with a medicine delivery device includes a body configured to attach to a medicine delivery device and a user interface disposed on the body and configured to communicate information to a user. In aspects, the user interface includes first and second lights configured to be selectively illuminated and a first symbol associated with the first light. The first light and the first symbol together indicate an action to be performed when the first light is illuminated. In aspects, the user interface includes red, yellow, and green lights configured to be illuminated in sequential time periods after a dose using the medicine delivery device.
Label for an Injection Device
The present disclosure relates to a label for an injection device. The label includes a flexible substrate configured for attachment to a body. The label further includes a first label area on the substrate provided with a first information content, wherein the first information content includes at least one visual sign or character. The label further includes a second label area on the substrate non-overlapping with the first label area, wherein the second label area includes an electronic display configured to display a second information content, The label further includes a processor connected to the electronic display and configured to modify at least the second information content.
