ELECTRONIC TRIP DEVICE FOR MOLDED CASE CIRCUIT BREAKER
The present invention relates to a trip device for a molded case circuit breaker and, more specifically, to an electronic trip device for a molded case circuit breaker. The electronic trip device for a molded case circuit breaker, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a trip part case having a plurality of phases; a trip part terminal provided at the rear surface part of the trip part case and provided for each phase; and a voltage sensing conductor coupled between the rear surface part and the trip part terminal and provided for each phase, wherein the voltage sensing conductor provided for each phase is formed to have the same shape and the same size.
Circuit breaker
A switchgear, in particular a circuit protection device, includes: a housing; a fixed contact that is fixed to the housing; a movable contact, the movable contact being arranged on a contact arm that is arranged in the switchgear so as to be movable; a latching device that is connected to the contact arm; a manual actuation device that has an actuation projection, which manual actuation device is connected to the latching device by a bar, the movable contact being brought into contact with the fixed contact when the actuation projection is moved from an off-position of the actuation projection to an on-position of the actuation projection. When the actuation projection is moved from the on-position towards the off-position as far as a specified trip position of the actuation projection, the bar remains still. When the projection is moved past the trip position, the bar is moved past a holding point.
Device for anti-fire protection of a starter-controller device of an electrical installation
An anti-fire protection device for a starter-controller device of an electrical installation is able to be connected to an electrical power conductor and includes thermal monitoring of the electrical power conductor to detect a temperature rise of greater than a predetermined threshold. This anti-fire protection device can be fixed mechanically to the starter-controller device via at least one mechanical linking member. The thermal monitoring includes at least one temperature sensor and a cartridge including a fire extinguishing agent and at least one injection element, situated on the same face of the protection device as the temperature sensor, the cartridge being situated inside the protection device and connected to the temperature sensor, the injection element being able to inject the fire extinguishing agent towards the electrical power conductors subsequent to a detection, by the temperature sensor, of a temperature of greater than the predetermined threshold.
Electrical switching apparatus and accessory wire retention assembly therefor
An accessory wire retention assembly is for an electrical switching apparatus, such as a circuit breaker. The circuit breaker comprises a housing, separable contacts and an accessory enclosed by the housing, an operating mechanism for opening and closing the separable contacts, and a number of wires adapted to be electrically connected to the accessory. The wires extend from the interior of the housing through an aperture to the exterior. The accessory wire retention assembly includes an insert which cooperates with the housing and to establish a predetermined position of the wires with respect to the accessory and the aperture, and a fastening mechanism which fastens the wires to the insert to maintain the wires in the predetermined position.
Circuit breaker having circuit operating device
A circuit breaker having a circuit operating device according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a circuit unit having a main circuit, a detecting unit having a detection circuit for detecting a fault current in the main circuit, and a circuit operating device configured to allow connection or isolation between the main circuit and the detection circuit, wherein the circuit operating device includes a first fixed unit and a second fixed unit connected to the main circuit and the detection circuit, respectively, and arranged in parallel to each other, and a moving unit rotatably coupled between the first fixed unit and the second fixed unit to connect or isolate the main circuit and the detection circuit to or from each other.
Circuit breaker accessory cover interlock and forced safety tripping apparatus, systems, and methods
A circuit breaker having a housing with an accessory cover includes an accessory cover interlock assembly that trips the circuit breaker upon removal of the accessory cover. The accessory cover interlock assembly includes a plunger rotatable from an initial install position to an engaged position that moves a trip lever into a de-energize position (tripping the circuit breaker) upon removal of the accessory cover. The accessory cover interlock assembly prevents the circuit breaker from being reset while the access cover is removed. The accessory cover interlock assembly automatically resets upon re-attachment of the accessory cover to the circuit breaker housing. Methods of forced safety tripping in a circuit breaker are also provided, as are other aspects.
Enclosure for the operation mechanism of a circuit breaker
An enclosure for the operating mechanism of a circuit breaker, this mechanism including a main shaft and secondary shafts, and a spring to actuate the mechanism. This enclosure includes a parallelepiped base having an open face and including a bottom wall opposite to its open face, this bottom wall having holes to receive bearings carrying the shafts; a supporting part including a main wall to be mounted at the open face of the base, the main wall including holes to receive bearings carrying the other extremities of the shafts; a cover to close the supporting part.
