A trippable control system for one or more electrical breaker poles, comprises a first link pivotable about a first pivot point between first and second positions; a second link pivotable about a pivot axis for connecting to one or more breaker poles, whereby movement of the first link causes the second link to pivot about the pivot axis between a position for opening and a position for closing the breaker pole(s); and a trip mechanism suitable for releasing the first pivot point and for exerting a movement force on the first link to move the first link between the second and third positions when the first link pivots about a second pivot point. Movement of the first link between the second and third positions causes the second link to pivot about the pivot axis between the position for closing the breaker pole(s) and the position for opening the breaker gear.

POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND CIRCUIT BREAKER POSITION ACQUISITION METHOD

The power distribution system includes a plug-in frame, a board located in the plug-in frame, and at least one circuit breaker. The board includes a plurality of slot positions, a position signal acquisition apparatus is disposed on the board, and the position signal acquisition apparatus is configured to acquire an address of any slot position on the board. A first end of each circuit breaker extends into the plug-in frame and is plugged to a slot position on the board, and a second end of the circuit breaker is located at an open end of the plug-in frame. The open end of the plug-in frame is provided with an address code, the address code corresponds to an address of a slot position on the board, and each circuit breaker corresponds to at least one address code.

A circuit interrupter includes a handle, an operating linkage, and a spring that are situated on a housing, with the spring extending between the handle and the operating linkage. The circuit interrupter is movable among an ON position, an OFF position, and a TRIP position, and the operating linkage includes a contact arm that is pivotable with respect to the housing to move a movable contact between an OPEN position and a CLOSED position with respect to a stationary contact. The handle has a toggle point, and when the spring is situated at a first side of the toggle point, the spring biases the contact arm to the ON position. When the spring is situated at a second side of the toggle point, the spring biases the contact arm to the OFF position or the TRIP position.

Meter-Based Transfer Switch with Lockout

An intermediate disconnect section includes a utility power breaker and an alternate power breaker. A switching mechanism opens and closes the utility power breaker and the alternate power breaker, so as to be in one of a first, second or third state. The utility power breaker is closed and the alternate power breaker is open while in the first state. The utility power breaker is open and the alternate power breaker is closed while in the second state. The utility power breaker is open and the alternate power breaker is open while in the third state.
