INSPECTION STATION

An inspection station is capable of being used under harsh conditions. The inspection station includes switch elements to which the inspection station is responsive for generating a predetermined control signal in response to actuation of a switch element. A fluid tight sealing element isolates an interior of the inspection station from an outside of the inspection station, the sealing element including one or more flexible button areas at the locations of the switch elements to provide access from the outside of the inspection station to actuate the switch elements located in the interior of the sealing element.

SWITCH DEVICE
20200321170 · 2020-10-08 ·

A switch device includes a first rubber dome, a second rubber dome, and a slider disposed on the first rubber dome and the second rubber dome. The slider presses the upper surface of the first rubber dome, causing deformation of the first rubber dome when the slider is moved toward the first and second rubber domes, and presses the upper surface of the second rubber dome, causing deformation of the second rubber dome when the slider is further moved toward the first and second rubber domes in a state in which the first rubber dome is subjected to the deformation. A thick portion is formed on each side of the second rubber dome so as to increase the thickness on the each side of the second rubber dome. Each side of the second rubber dome is in a direction in which the first and second rubber domes are aligned.

AUTOCLAVABLE MEDICAL DEVICE AND ACTUATION MEANS FOR AN AUTOCLAVABLE MEDICAL DEVICE
20200282112 · 2020-09-10 · ·

An autoclavable medical device is provided that includes a metal housing having an electrical conductor embedded in an inorganic fixing material. The conductor and fixing material define an electrical feedthrough that extends from an interior of the housing through at least a portion of the fixing material. The electrical feedthrough forms part of a sensor of an actuation means for the autoclavable medical device.

Keyboard with touch sensor

A keyboard may be provided that has keys overlapped by a touch sensor. The keyboard may have key sensor circuitry for monitoring switching in the keys for key press input. The keyboard may also have touch sensor circuitry such as capacitive touch sensor circuitry that monitors capacitive electrodes in the touch sensor for touch sensor input such as multitouch gesture input. The touch sensor may be formed from a layer of fabric. The fabric may be woven fabric or other fabric in which conductive strands of material serve as the electrodes for the touch sensor.

Switch assembly for operating a motor vehicle component

The present disclosure relates to a switch assembly for a motor vehicle component, including: an electronic basic body for arranging a contact member; an actuating member for actuating the contact member; a web associated with the actuating member, including a web portion with a web stop; a flexible switching mat having a basic portion for arranging the actuating member and the web; an operating member having an operating portion with an operating stop and an operating counter-stop disposed opposite to the web stop; a support member connected to the basic body or the switching mat having a support portion with a support counter-stop that contacts the operating stop in a non-actuated state of the switch assembly; wherein the web provided on the basic portion is arranged to be spaced apart from the actuating member provided on the basic portion, wherein the web encloses the actuating member at least partially.

Method and apparatus for mechanical switch noise damping

A switch assembly includes a switch housing defining an interior volume, and a switch actuator slidably retained within the switch housing. Travel in a first direction by the switch actuator compresses a resilient dome switch and a hard mechanical stop limits a full extent of return travel by the switch actuator within the switch housing. A resilient retention post, formed in a resilient switch pad that includes the resilient dome switch, for example, has a length terminating in a flanged tip that captures the switch actuator and thereby defines a restricted extent of return travel by the switch actuator. The restricted extent of return travel is less than the full extent of return travel, to prevent the resilient dome switch from springedly urging the switch actuator into contact with the hard mechanical stop.

Key structure

A key structure includes a support shaft, a resilience sheet, a pedestal and a keycap. While the keycap is pressed down in response to an external force, the support shaft is moved downwardly and the resilience sheet is correspondingly moved. Since a resilience part of the resilience sheet is pushed by a push part of the pedestal, the resilience part is subjected to deformation. After the resilience part is moved across the push part, the resilience part is elastically restored and swung. Consequently, the resilience part collides with the inner surface of the sliding groove to generate a click sound.

Touch button with better feel in pressing

A touch button with better feel in pressing is disposed on a casing, including a touch board having a touch area and a press area, a fixing element disposed on a side of the touch board to form a difference in height from the touch board, an elastic connector for connecting the touch board with the fixing element and forming a state of elastic vertical displacement between the press area and the casing, and plural elastic supporters forming an elastic supporting force to the press area, thereby enabling the press area to manifest the state of elastic vertical displacement on the casing by the elastic supporting force.

System and methods for providing a keyframe module for a input device are disclosed. In an embodiment, the input device includes a keyframe having a key opening, and a key disposed within the key opening. The key includes a keycap having a bottom surface, a plurality of tabs that extend laterally from the bottom surface of the keycap, and a protrusion extending from the bottom surface of the keycap. A compressible dome structure is disposed underneath the protrusion, and a plate is coupled to the keyframe and disposed underneath the compressible dome structure. A plurality of openings is disposed within the plate, where a location of the plurality of openings corresponds to a location of the plurality of tabs such that one or more of the plurality of tabs pass through one or more of the plurality of openings in response to the depression of the key.
