LUMINOUS KEYBOARD AND BACKLIGHT MODULE THEREOF
A backlight module applicable to a key module is provided, the key module includes a plurality of key units and a baseplate, and the plurality of key units are disposed on the baseplate. The backlight module includes a lower substrate, a plurality of periphery light sources disposed along the peripheral of the baseplate, and a shielding structure. The lower substrate is disposed below the baseplate, and there is an outer edge gap between an outer edge of the baseplate and the lower substrate. The periphery light sources are disposed between the baseplate and the lower substrate. The shielding structure is disposed outside those periphery light sources distributed, to prevent light provided by the plurality of light sources from being emitted out of the outer edge gap.
BEVERAGE PREPARATION MACHINE
A food or beverage preparation machine, comprising a control panel (5), the control panel (5) comprising an actuator (5x) for setting at least one food or beverage preparation parameter of the food or beverage preparation machine (1) to a predetermined value and a controlling unit, comprises a pressure sensor (6x) electronically connected to said controlling unit for controlling the functioning of the food or beverage preparation machine, and associated with said actuator, said actuator (5x) being pressure-sensitive and comprising a first end (50) with a first deformable surface (51) which is configured to receive a press action (F) from a user, a second end (52) with a second deformable surface (53) which is in physical contact with said pressure sensor (6x), and an elongate portion (54) connecting said first end (50) and said second end (52), said elongate portion (54) being configured to transfer to said second end (52) a pressure that has been generated at said first end (50), such that when a press action (F) is applied to said first deformable surface (51), said pressure is transferred to said second deformable surface (53) by said elongate portion and is applied to said pressure sensor (6x) so as to set said at least one food or beverage preparation parameter.
INTERFACE SYSTEM FOR A BEVERAGE PREPARATION MACHINE

A switch structure includes a light-emitting part configured to receive power from a vehicle and to radiate light, a moving block located so as to surround the light-emitting part, a light-transmissive part configured to allow light radiated from the light-emitting part to pass through an opening in the moving block, and a film-printing layer located on a top surface of the light-transmissive part and including a symbol.
Mirror feature in devices
Various processes for creating mirrored features are discussed herein as well as devices that include the mirrored features. One embodiment includes a button having a transparent layer and an opaque layer coupled to the transparent layer. A portion of the transparent layer extends through the opaque layer so that the portion of the transparent layer is flush with a back surface of the opaque layer and generally has a shape of a desired feature. The button also includes a reflective object positioned so that it may be seen through the transparent layer.

The present disclosure relates to a function display for selectively displaying symbols representing switching states for a motor vehicle including a light guide stack of at least two transparent or translucent, planar light guides arranged in an overlaid manner in a stacking direction, which are spaced apart by a transparent or translucent layer including a material that is optically thinner compared to the adjacent light guides so that the light guides have a main surface facing towards an observer and a main surface facing away from the observer that faces towards a light guide which is most closely adjacent in stacking direction; at least one light source per light guide arranged to couple light into the respective light guide via an end face; wherein one light-refractive and/or light-scattering microstructured portion per light guide, which is provided in or on the light guide, is provided for generating a symbol display.
ROTARY ACTUATOR COMPRISING A HOMOGENEOUSLY ILLUMINATED DISPLAY AREA
A rotary actuator includes a cylindrical main body and an actuating handle which is placed on the cylindrical main body. The actuating handle includes a display area that can be illuminated. A light source is arranged in the cylindrical main body and emits light that is reflected via a first reflection surface onto a first section of the display area.
Laundry treating apparatus
A laundry treating apparatus is described. The laundry treating apparatus includes a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB). The laundry treating apparatus further includes a light guide that includes an inner wall and an outer wall and ribs located between the inner wall and the outer wall, the ribs defining cells that are configured to accommodate the plurality of LEDs. The laundry treating apparatus further includes a window that is configured to allow light emitted from the plurality of LEDs to pass through. Each rib includes a ridge portion that decreases in thickness toward the window and is pointed toward the window.
Light Vectoring Apparatus
An apparatus includes a coverlay layer having a void therein. A backing layer is disposed against a first side of the coverlay layer. A transmission layer is disposed against a second side of the coverlay layer opposite the first side such that a chamber is formed within the void between the transmission layer and the backing layer. The transmission layer includes a first area having a first level of light transmissivity and a second area having a second level of light transmissivity that is greater than the first level of light transmissivity. The transmission layer is oriented so that at least a portion of each of the first area and the second area overlaps the void. A light source is positioned in the chamber between the first area of the transmission layer and the backing layer.
TRANSPARENT KEYCAPS
Keycaps for keyboards that have transparent top portions have a set of layered components to define a top surface that provides key definition by curvature, texture, ridges, or other external structural features. Other portions of the keycaps define a glyph or support structure for the top layer. Features such as angle filters and partially reflective materials are implemented to improve the visibility, contrast, and reflectivity of the keycaps. Multiple methods are used to bend or otherwise modify rigid transparent materials such as glass in order to add surface features and to improve aesthetics of the keycaps of a keyboard.
