PANEL-TYPE CONTROL BUTTON
20180254154 · 2018-09-06 · ·

A panel-type control button, including: a press key base, a press key panel, a switch board and a springback soft key. The press key panel is snap-fitted on top of the press key base, and one end of the press key panel is rotatably mounted at one end of the press key base. The switch board is located below the press key base, and is provided thereon with a switch mechanism. The springback soft key is located above the switch mechanism of the switch board. When the press key panel is pressed, the press key panel comes into contact with the springback soft key and triggers the switch mechanism on the switch board, and further controls the opening and closing of the switch mechanism. The springback soft key provides a springback force for the press key panel to reset.

Wall-mounted smart switches and outlets for use in building wiring for load control, home automation, and/or security purposes

An electrical switch device features a switch module housing that fits at least partially within an in-wall electrical box. The housing contains electrically controlled switches and has line and neutral contacts carried for each of the electrically controlled switches to enable connection of a different respective load circuit across each electrically controlled switch. A control panel is mountable over an open front of the in-wall electrical box and the housing therein, and has a user-interface for operation of the switch module to control the electrically controlled switches and connected loads. The control panel is sized to fully cover the open front of a multi-gang electrical box, whereby the same switch module and control panel are usable with either a single-gang or multi-gang electrical box without leaving any portion of the open front of the single-gang or multi-gang electrical box uncovered by said control panel.

ROCKER SWITCH DEVICE

A rocker switch device includes an operation knob with a close bottom cylindrical shape configured to be operated, a body including a contact point configured such that current is interruptible by the operation knob and a support portion that projects toward an inside of the operation knob and supports the operation knob in a manner allowing for rocking, and a projection portion that projects from a portion of a surface of the support portion of the body that opposes the operation knob or a portion of a surface of the operation knob that opposes the body toward an opposing member.

Composite rocker button with capacitive sense technology

A rocker panel button arrangement having a bezel with an opening. A rocker button is rotatably mounted to the bezel and is located within the aperture. The rocker button is pivotable about an axis between a first position, a second position and a neutral position. The rocker button also includes a viewing surface and a back side. A capacitive film is connected to the back side of the rocker. A chassis is connected and supports the capacitive film and is also connected to and movable with the rocker button. A circuit board is connected to the bezel adjacent the chassis. The circuit board is connected to the bezel in such a manner that the chassis, capacitive film and rocker button may rotate freely near the circuit board. Between the chassis and the circuit board is a rocker actuator that may take several forms.

LOW-TRAVEL KEY MECHANISMS USING BUTTERFLY HINGES

A key mechanism including one or more butterfly hinges. Each butterfly hinge may include a double wing design operative to move between a depressed position and non-depressed position. Hinged coupling mechanisms couple respective arms of the wings together. Additionally or alternatively, a key mechanism can include one or more half-butterfly hinges. Each half-butterfly hinge includes a double wing design operative to move between a depressed position and non-depressed position. A hinged coupling mechanism couples one set of corresponding arms of the wings together, while the other set of corresponding arms are not coupled together.

Rocker input mechanism

A rocker input mechanism includes an actuator that is operable to pivot against the interior surface of a housing through which an actuation surface of the actuator projects. Pivots or up-stops on the edges of the actuator are biased against the interior surface by dome switches contacting a switching surface of the actuator that is opposite the actuation surface. Thus, the actuator is able to pivot with respect to the interior surface to activate the dome switches when force is exerted on the actuation surface without bending or flexing like typical rocker buttons. As a result, the rocker input mechanism may have a feel to a user similar to non-rocking input mechanisms like single mode buttons.

A switch for controlling an electrical appliance has a switch housing, an actuation element, a display, and a microprocessor disposed in the switch housing. The actuation element can activate an identifier through the display, which identifier is determined by the microprocessor. Selection of an appropriate system state and an associated maximum value is effected by again actuating the actuation element, specifically while the corresponding identifier associated with this system state is active or displayed. Reaching or exceeding the maximum value is indicated by a signal that is produced by the microprocessor. The microprocessor can optionally be activated once again for a reset mode and/or for a change mode.

Remote controller having tilt switch and a plurality of metal domes

A remote controller includes a housing including a through-hole, a tilt switch accommodated in the housing and including first to fourth extending portions extending in different directions, a rubber including a first protrusion and a second protrusion protruding in a direction opposite to a protruding direction of the first protrusion, a plurality of metal domes that are in contact with one surface of the second protrusion in response to the user's input, and a plurality of contacts mounted on a printed circuit board and located under the plurality of metal domes and each of the plurality of contacts is in contact with a metal dome of the plurality of metal domes in response to the user's input.

ELECTRICAL SWITCH WITH IDENTIFICATION FEATURES

An electrical switch with identifying features. Embodiments include a toggle assembly for an electrical switch that comprises a switch body including a contact mechanism configured to control an electrical circuit. A movement of the toggle assembly from a first position to a second position is mechanically communicated to the contact mechanism. The toggle assembly can also include a user-operable actuator portion elongated between the switch engagement portion and a front end of the toggle assembly enabling a user to pivot the toggle assembly from the first position to the second position. Embodiments include an interchangeable tile removably coupleable to the toggle. The interchangeable tile can comprise an identifier. Embodiments include an illuminating element.
