Medicament Delivering Devices
20210290879 · 2021-09-23 ·

A medicament delivery device (“MDD”) having a delivery tube and a laryngeal mask having an anterior patient-contacting surface. In some embodiments of the invention, the laryngeal mask has an epiglottis-holding ridge. In some embodiments of the invention, the laryngeal mask has a cuff-portion providing at least a portion of an anterior patient-contacting surface, the cuff-portion being shaped and positioned to create a side-groove facing away from the anterior patient-contacting surface. In some embodiments of the invention, the laryngeal mask has a plurality of ridges on a posterior-side of the laryngeal mask opposite the anterior patient-contacting surface (the “posterior-side ridges”), the posterior-side ridges being shaped and positioned relative to the anterior patient-contacting surface so as to push against the patient and thereby push the anterior patient-contacting surface against the patient.

BIPHASIC BREATHING VENTILATOR
20210299396 · 2021-09-30 ·

A biphasic system and method for assisting breathing of a patient by controllably providing breathing gas to the patient and taking exhaled gas from the patient during inspiration and expiration phases. The system and method having a pair of pressure-controlling means such as hydrostatic pressures or pop-off valves that are coupled to the patient breathing interface. Various means for controlling gas pressure at the breathing interface are described.

FILTERED RESPIRATION

The present invention is directed to filtered respiration that can occur according to multiple facets. The present invention includes a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (“CPAP”) system, an adapter, and a CPAP interface. Other inventions disclosed herein relate to the modification of CPAP and BILEVEL-PAP systems into ventilators.

GUARD APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR LARYNGEAL MASK AIRWAY
20210170128 · 2021-06-10 ·

A guard positionable around an airway tube. The guard has a body having a through hole defined there through, an outer surface, and a plurality of valleys defined along the outer surface. The guard is positionable within a user's mouth and at least one valley of the plurality of valleys partially receives a tooth of the user to maintain the position of the guard along the airway tube.

AIRWAY DEVICE

Disclosed are laryngeal airway devices for human and veterinary use. The device includes an airway tube having a distal end and a proximal end, the distal end of the airway tube is provided with a pre-formed and non-inflatable peri-pharyngeal bowl, the peri-pharyngeal bowl has a posterior bowl portion having a back dorsal portion and a side wall extending around and depending from the periphery of the back dorsal portion to define an internal space, the peri-pharyngeal bowl further having a resiliently deformable flange extending laterally from the side wall of the back dorsal portion which defines an extended internal space, the resiliently deformable flange having inner and outer surfaces that extend to a circumferential edge.

A Supraglottic Airway Device for intermittent Positive Pressure Ventilation
20210162154 · 2021-06-03 ·

An airway device to be inserted into a patient's throat and to be function as a supraglottic airway device during a positive pressure ventilation and spontaneous ventilation that includes an air tube, an air sac, a tongue lifting means, a pulling unit and a drainage systems. The pulling unit will be pulled by an operator's hand to cause the tongue lifting means upward movement to open up the air sac and lift up the tongue base. The air tube lumen and the air sac are configured to have inflow airflow be divided and follow specific route therefore to deliver the focused airflow to vocal cords opening, and also to let inspired airflow enter desired area of the air sac to expand the air sac to form seals with surrounding tissue. During expiration, the pressure will be relieved. Different design of the drainage system can be configured to drained fluid from upper esophagus or from posterior pharyngeal wall.

Systems and Methods for Treating An Airway

Some embodiments described herein may include a system or a method in which an air delivery lumen of an endotracheal tube, a laryngeal mask, or other airway device is configured to optionally provide a suction effect.

Device to reduce discomfort in the upper airway

A device for delivering a substance to an airway of a patient may include a laryngeal mask airway device, at least one substance delivery reservoir coupled with the laryngeal mask airway device for delivering the substance to the airway of the patient, and at least one conduit coupled with the laryngeal mask airway. The at least one conduit may have a proximal end configured to couple with a source of the substance residing outside the patient and a distal end in fluid communication with the at least one substance delivery reservoir.

Positioning Sputum Suction Laryngeal Mask

The invention relates to a positioning sputum suction laryngeal mask. The positioning sputum suction laryngeal mask comprises a mask body and a mask body tube, wherein the mask body comprises a mask body bottom plate and a mask main body arranged on the mask body bottom plate, a central region in the mask main body is provided with a mask body cavity communicated with the mask body tube, a stomach decompression tube corresponding to the stomach mouth is arranged on the back side of the mask body bottom plate, and the stomach decompression tube is isolated from the mask body cavity through the mask body bottom plate. The positioning sputum suction laryngeal mask also comprises a connection suction mechanism capable of realizing negative pressure suction in a gas supply process. The connection suction mechanism comprises a suction connecting tube which is arranged in the mask body bottom plate, and the end, located in the mask body bottom plate, of the suction connecting tube is communicated with the stomach decompression tube. The positioning sputum suction laryngeal mask can be effectively positioned, has lower complexity and usage costs, can ensure the ventilation and sealing effect without air inflation in use, can realize suction of secretions in a ventilation process, can avoid airway blockage caused by epiglottis, and can improve the stability and reliability in use.
