METHOD OF APPLYING OUTSOLE TO AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
20200337419 · 2020-10-29 · ·

A method of forming a sole structure for an article of footwear. The method includes depositing a first outsole material including a first uncured polymeric material upon a mold surface of a mold cavity. The method also includes disposing a midsole element adjacent to the first outsole material within the mold cavity and subjecting the first outsole material and the midsole element to a molding process to form the sole structure having an outsole and a midsole.

A shoe insole (28) comprises a base layer (34) and an optional top layer (36). The base layer (34) comprises functional zones (40) configured according to a user's physiological data, needs, and intended use. The insoles (28) may either partially or wholly be made using additive manufacturing techniques.

Method for producing 3D objects

The invention relates to a method for producing a three-dimensional object, the outer surface of which has at least one surface section that is generated in that, by means of an additive production method (layer-building forming method), initially a surface section is produced on a flat base plate (5) in two-dimensional form, comprising the following steps: I) applying at least one curable polymer or curable reaction resin with a respective elastic modulus according to DIN 53504 (effective: 18 Apr. 2015) in the cured state, of <250 MPa in fluid form, as material webs onto a flat base plate (5) by means of a layer-building forming method in order to produce a first layer (6); II) applying a second layer (7) onto the first layer (6) by means of the same or another layer-building forming method, like in step I); III) optionally applying between 1 and 48 additional layers according to step II), wherein each new layer is applied onto the respective previous layer; IV) curing the layers; V) releasing the cured surface section from the flat base plate (5); VI) forming the cured surface section into a three-dimensional object; and VII) securing the three-dimensional object.

Sole for footwear, and systems and methods for designing and manufacturing same

The invention relates to articles of footwear, and portions thereof, including convex and/or concave elements thereon, and related systems and methods for designing and manufacturing same. An example article of footwear including a midsole having a medial side, a lateral side, a forefoot region, a midfoot region, and a heel region, the midsole including a sidewall, wherein the sidewall includes a first wall portion having a plurality of convex structures extending out from the sidewall and a second wall portion having a plurality of concave structures extending into the sidewall.

Ground-Engaging Structures for Articles of Footwear

Ground-engaging components for articles of footwear include: (a) an outer perimeter boundary rim that at least partially defines an outer perimeter of the ground-engaging component, wherein the outer perimeter boundary rim defines an upper-facing surface and a ground-facing surface opposite the upper-facing surface, wherein the outer perimeter boundary rim defines an open space at least at a forefoot support area of the ground-engaging component; and (b) a matrix structure extending from the outer perimeter boundary rim (e.g., the ground-facing surface and/or the upper-facing surface) and across the open space at least at the forefoot support area to define an open cellular construction with plural open cells across the open space at least at the forefoot support area, wherein a plurality (e.g., at least a majority) of the open cells have curved perimeters with no distinct corners.

SOLES FOR SPORTS SHOES

Improved soles and insoles for shoes, in particular sports shoes, are described. In an aspect, a sole for a shoe, in particular a sports shoe, with at least a first and a second surface region is provided. The first surface region comprises expanded thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The second surface region is free from expanded TPU.

Soles for sports shoes

Described are soles for a shoe having a region with a plurality of pellets, each pellet having a hollow core structure. The plurality of pellets are formed of a composite material comprising a base layer and an outer layer. The base layer is formed of a material having a first melting temperature, and the outer layer is formed of a material having a second melting temperature. The first melting temperature is greater than the second melting temperature, and the plurality of pellets are bonded through melting of the outer layers while the inner layers retain the hollow core structure without melting.

FOOTWEAR SOLE STRUCTURE HAVING A FLUID-FILLED CHAMBER INCLUDING A TENSILE MEMBER

A footwear sole structure having a fluid-filled chamber including a tensile member is provided. The fluid-filled chamber includes a first barrier sheet, a second barrier sheet and the tensile member. The first barrier sheet is formed from a first thermoplastic material. The second barrier sheet is attached to the first barrier sheet and is formed from a second thermoplastic material. The first barrier sheet and the second barrier sheet cooperate to define an internal cavity. The tensile member is disposed within the internal cavity and is formed from a third thermoplastic material. A first weld attaches the first barrier sheet, the second barrier sheet, and the tensile member together by melding the first thermoplastic material of the first barrier sheet, the second thermoplastic material of second barrier sheet, and the third thermoplastic material of the tensile member.
