The invention relates to charged particle beam generator comprising a charged particle source for generating a charged particle beam, a collimator system comprising a collimator structure with a plurality of collimator electrodes for collimating the charged particle beam, a beam source vacuum chamber comprising the charged particle source, and a generator vacuum chamber comprising the collimator structure and the beam source vacuum chamber within a vacuum, wherein the collimator system is positioned outside the beam source vacuum chamber. Each of the beam source vacuum chamber and the generator vacuum chamber may be provided with a vacuum pump.

Provided are a radiation detector and a radiation detection apparatus in which the efficiency of detecting radiation is enhanced by increasing a portion capable of detecting radiation. A radiation detector includes a semiconductor part having a plate-like shape, the semiconductor part being provided with a through hole penetrating the semiconductor part, one surface of the semiconductor part being an incident surface for radiation. The semiconductor part has a sensitive portion capable of detecting incident radiation, the sensitive portion including an inner edge of the incident surface.
ION GENERATOR AND ION IMPLANTER
An ion generator includes an arc chamber defining a plasma generation space, and a cathode which emits thermoelectrons toward the plasma generation space. The arc chamber includes a box-shaped main body having an opening, and a slit member mounted to cover the opening and provided with a front slit. An inner surface of the main body is exposed to the plasma generation space made of a refractory metal material. The slit member includes an inner member made of graphite and an outer member made of another refractory metal material. The outer member includes an outer surface exposed to an outside of the arc chamber. The inner member includes an inner surface exposed to the plasma generation space, and an opening portion which forms the front slit extending from the inner surface of the inner member to the outer surface of the outer member.

Ion generator and ion implanter
An ion generator includes: an arc chamber which defines a plasma generation space; a cathode which emits thermoelectrons toward the plasma generation space; and a repeller which faces the cathode with the plasma generation space interposed therebetween. The arc chamber includes a box-shaped main body on which a front side is open, and a slit member which is mounted to the front side of the main body and provided with a front slit for extracting ions. An inner surface of the main body which is exposed to the plasma generation space is made of a refractory metal material, and an inner surface of the slit member which is exposed to the plasma generation space is made of graphite.

MAGNETIC IMMERSION ELECTRON GUN
The present disclosure provides a magnetic immersion electron gun and a method of generating an electron beam using a magnetic immersion electron gun. The electron gun includes a magnetic lens forming a magnetic field, a cathode tip disposed in the magnetic field, and a multi-filament heater configured to directly heat the cathode tip to emit electrons through the magnetic lens. The multi-filament heater includes a first filament connected at each end to first and second positive terminals of a power source and a second filament connected at each end to first and second negative terminals of the power source. The first positive terminal, the second positive terminal, the first negative terminal, and the second negative terminal are arranged alternately around the cathode tip such that the first filament and the second filament intersect at the cathode tip and a resultant magnetic force applied to the cathode tip is reduced.

The invention relates to charged particle beam generator comprising a charged particle source for generating a charged particle beam, a collimator system comprising a collimator structure with a plurality of collimator electrodes for collimating the charged particle beam, a beam source vacuum chamber comprising the charged particle source, and a generator vacuum chamber comprising the collimator structure and the beam source vacuum chamber within a vacuum, wherein the collimator system is positioned outside the beam source vacuum chamber. Each of the beam source vacuum chamber and the generator vacuum chamber may be provided with a vacuum pump.
