A sterile barrier for a robotic drive comprises a first drive module configured to move moving along a longitudinal axis of a drive body. The sterile barrier comprises a first resilient member having a first free edge proximate the longitudinal axis. The first free edge adjacent the first drive module is resiliently biased away from and returned to the longitudinal axis as the first drive module moves along the longitudinal axis.

CASSETTE ASSEMBLY FOR ROBOTIC DRIVE

A robotic drive system for driving one or more elongated medical devices includes a robotic drive including a first drive module; and a second drive module proximal to the first drive module each drive module independently moved along a longitudinal axis of the robotic drive. A sterile cassette assembly includes a first cassette; and a second cassette coupled to the first cassette with a coupler. The first cassette and the second cassette are removably attached together to the first drive module and the second drive module respectively.

A slave-end apparatus for an interventional robot includes: a body, and a front clamper, a first drive mechanism, a second drive mechanism and a third drive mechanism that are mounted on the body; wherein in a case that the first guide wire runs into the second catheter, the second catheter runs into the first catheter, and the first guide wire, the second catheter and the first catheter are move along on the body to a desired position, the front clamper and the second drive mechanism take over to clamp the first catheter and the second catheter, the third catheter is caused to run into the second catheter and the second guide wire is caused to run into the third catheter, and the third catheter and the second guide wire are respectively clamped by the second drive mechanism and the third drive mechanism and move on the body.

Jig for straightening and bending a malleable tool

In one embodiment, a jig apparatus for bending a malleable tool includes a block having an upper surface and containing, a conical recess extending into the block through the upper surface of the block, defined by an elliptical directrix on the upper surface, an apex within the block, and generatrixes disposed about a central axis of the conical recess extending from the apex to the directrix, and an elongated cylindrical hole, which is sized to fit the malleable tool therein and has a longitudinal axis extending from the conical recess into the block at an oblique angle relative to the central axis of the conical recess, and angular markings disposed on the upper surface and around a circumference of the elliptical directrix.

ROTARY HANDLE STENT DELIVERY DEVICE WITH TIMING BELT CONNECTOR

A device for withdrawing a sheath from a shaft includes a housing a flexible timing belt that is a continuous band forming a loop that has an inner surface and an outer surface. The timing belt has a plurality of belt teeth on a surface of the timing belt. The delivery device is by rotation of a barrel that is actuated by an actuator coupled to a barrel having a plurality of teeth such that rotation of the barrel such that the barrel teeth engages the belt teeth to cause movement of the timing belt causing movement of the outer sheath.

A magnetically steerable screw-tip cannula can include a flexible cannula with a distal end to be inserted into biological tissue and an internal lumen extending to the distal end. A magnetically steerable screw-tip can be on the distal end of the cannula. The screw-tip can include a screw body with screw threads on an exterior surface thereof, the screw threads oriented to generate insertion or retraction force along a longitudinal axis of the screw body when the screw body rotates. The screw body can also include an internal lumen extending along the longitudinal axis of the screw body, where the internal lumen is connected to the internal lumen of the cannula. A magnet can be associated with the screw body having an average magnetization substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the screw body.

Support system, support method, and support program

A support system, a support method, and a support program in the form of a non-transitory computer readable medium, which supports selection of a medical instrument and selection of a use form of the medical instrument. A support system includes the data acquisition unit that acquires health care worker data on a health care worker, medical institution data on a medical institution, patient data on a patient, and operation data on a past operation experience of the health care worker, a learning unit that performs machine learning using the health care worker data, the medical institution data, the patient data, and the operation data, and a presentation unit that presents a medical instrument recommended for use in operation on the patient and a recommended use form of the medical instrument based on a result of the machine learning.

Coupling assembly for variable diameter surgical instrument

An apparatus may be used with an elongate member that includes an engagement member, a hollow shaft, a compression member, a compression element, and a resilient gripping member. The hollow shaft extends from the engagement member along a longitudinal axis. The compression member is slidably disposed over the hollow shaft. The hollow shaft is disposed over the resilient gripping member and supports the compression element. The compression member has a conical inner surface including a detent feature. The conical inner surface is configured to urge the compression element radially inwards as the collar advances from the unlocked position toward the locked position where the detent feature retains the compression element. The compression element deforms the resilient gripping member radially inwards to grip the elongate member and prevents translation of the elongate member. When unlocked, the resilient gripping member moves radially away from the elongate member allowing translation.
