Devices for rotating medical instruments and related systems and methods
Medical devices for rotating an elongate medical instrument can be used to remove, break up, clear, and/or eliminate obstructions within a lumen. Some medical devices for rotating an elongate medical instrument may include a coupling member for coupling the medical device to a secondary medical device. Some medical devices may include a flared distal region and some medical devices may include an elongate housing that is disposed around a portion of the distal region.
Gripper Apparatus For Cannulas
The invention relates to a gripper apparatus for a cannulation robot and for gripping a cannula having a cannula holder. The gripper apparatus comprises two gripper elements and a moving device. The two gripper elements can be moved relative to each other and work in concert to grip the cannula holder. The moving device is designed to move the two gripper elements relative to each other and at least one of the gripper elements relative to the cannula holder. The gripper apparatus can thereby be brought into a gripping state, in which at least one of the gripper elements is engaged with the cannula holder, by means of the moving device.
Medical device with distal torque control
A catheter with a distal end that rotates through the conversion of linear motion to rotational motion, thus the distal end may be rotated without longitudinally advancing or retracting the distal end. The catheter includes a tube with a single helix or a dual chirality helix cut into the tube, a distal end segment, means for linear displacement of the helix, and means for coupling the junction point of the helix to the distal segment.
CLOSED SYSTEM WITH INTERMITTENT URINARY CATHETER FEED
A sterile closed intermittent urinary catheter system which is an easier to use by virtue of ergonomic shaping to facilitate advancement and retrieval of the catheter from the collection bag. The bag may have a closed internal hole adjacent an indent in one edge that creates a narrow channel through which the catheter passes. The narrow channel is located near to and in alignment with an outlet assembly so that the catheter extends from the narrow channel directly to the outlet. A user may easily grasp the catheter from outside the bag at the narrow channel and urge the catheter forward or backward to alternately extend and retract it through the outlet. A flexible pusher sleeve with gripper features may be added around the narrow channel to further facilitate catheter advancement.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR PLACING A GASTROINTESTINAL DEVICE
A delivery system for placing a gastrointestinal device in a mammalian gastrointestinal tract comprises a container assembly; a gastrointestinal implant device that includes proximal and distal ends stored within the container assembly, the proximal end including an anchor and the distal end including a sleeve, coupled lo the anchor and folded into the container assembly; and an inner extension to draw a portion of the sleeve from the anchor and from the container assembly as the anchor is retained therein. The inner extension comprises an atraumatic tip, such as a ball, that includes a guidewire rail. Further, a handle is provided that retains or captures an inner catheter within the handle. Within the handle is an elongated element that surrounds a portion of the catheter. A button on a side of the handle is configured to cause engagement of the catheter via the element when the button is depressed.
CATHETER SHAFT GRIP APPARATUS
The disclosed technology includes an apparatus to a grip a catheter shaft including a body including a proximal end extending along a central axis to a distal end. The body can include a first handle portion, a second handle portion, and a catheter shaft grip aperture. The first handle portion can define a first recess extending along the central axis of the body from the proximal end to the distal end. The second handle portion can define a second recess extending along the central axis of the body from the proximal end to the distal end such that the first recess is aligned with the second recess. The catheter shaft grip aperture can extend along the central axis of the body from the proximal end to the distal end, be formed from the alignment of the first recess and the second recess, and be sized to receive a catheter shaft.
Gripping and pushing device for medical instrument
In one representative embodiment, a gripping and pushing device for a medical instrument comprises an elongated main body defining a lumen. The elongated main body comprises one or more deflectable portions that can be pressed radially inwardly toward a shaft of the medical instrument extending through the lumen. One or more elastomeric gripping layers can be secured to the inner surface of a respective deflectable portion at axially spaced apart attachment locations. The one or more gripping layers are axially deformable relative to the one or more deflectable portions between the attachment locations when manual pressure is applied to the one or more deflectable portions to press the one or more gripping layers against the shaft and move the shaft longitudinally into a patient's body.
Ratchet-slide handle and system for fiducial deployment
Embodiments include a fiducial deployment system with a handle configured for actuation of same. A fiducial may include one or more protuberances configured to engage one or more slots in a needle of the system. The needle may be configured to deliver a plurality of fiducials to a target location in serial fashion, one at a time. The handle includes an actuation mechanism with a recessible-toothed rack and actuation member(s) configured for incrementally or otherwise controlledly deploying one or more fiducials at a time by advancing a stylet through and/or retracting the body of a slotted needle in which fiducials are disposed with a fiducial protrusion extending into the needle slot, which needle slot also includes retaining structures that do not impede the needle lumen.
GRIPPING AND PUSHING DEVICE FOR MEDICAL INSTRUMENT

The elongated main body comprises one or more deflectable portions that can be pressed radially inwardly toward a shaft of the medical instrument extending through the lumen.
