Interventional tool delivery devices, systems and MElHODS
In general, medical sheath systems that include a curved support sheath are described. In one embodiment, the support sheath includes a curved tube includes a distal portion fixed in an orientation perpendicular to the proximal end during advancement of an interventional tool through the support sheath.
Integrated acute central venous catheter and peripherally inserted venous catheter
A catheter assembly includes a peripheral intravenous (“PIV”) portion that provides expedited vascular access. The catheter assembly includes an elongate catheter body defining a first lumen and includes a CVC portion, a transition portion, and a PIV portion. The PIV portion defines a relatively smaller diameter, a tapered tip, and a lumen configured to receive a needle. The needle extends through a needle access aperture, disposed through a side wall of the catheter body, through the PIV lumen, to a point beyond a distal end of the catheter body. A clinician accesses a vasculature using the needle and the PIV portion. The needle is then removed and a guidewire advanced through the lumen of the catheter body and the PIV portion into the vasculature. The CVC portion is then advanced over the guidewire into the vasculature, self-dilating the insertion site as the transition portion enters the vasculature.
Clamping Device for Acting onto a Medical Tubing
A clamping device for acting onto a medical tubing includes a clamp arrangeable on the medical tubing and displaceable between an open position in which the clamp unblocks the medical tubing and a close position in which the clamp closes the medical tubing. The clamping device further includes a drive system configured to act on the clamp for switching the clamp between the open position and the close position. The clamping device also includes a main control circuit and a secondary control circuit electronically independent from the main control circuit, and a relay switchable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the relay electronically couples the drive system to the main control circuit while the drive system is electronically decoupled from the secondary control circuit. In the second position, the relay electronically couples the drive system to the secondary control circuit while the drive system is electronically decoupled from the main control circuit. The secondary control circuit causes the clamp to adopt the close position when the relay is in the second position.
Wire Holder for Sterile Field
A wire manager for managing wires in a sterile field includes a body having a plurality of slots on a front side of the body and an adhesive material disposed on a back side of the body for temporarily adhering the body to a surface of the sterile field. A finger tab is formed on a side surface of the body for facilitating removal of the body from the surface on which the body is installed. The adhesive material provides for adhesion to the surface and removal from the surface by way of lifting the body using the finger tab.
STRAP CLAMP ASSEMBLY
A clamping device configured to secure a strap to a rail of a support table or operating table is provided, which prevents the patient from slipping, provides optimal patient stability when the table is placed in angle positions, and eliminates patient re-positioning during surgical procedure. The clamping device includes a body portion having a plurality of rail arms that form a rail channel, the clamping device including a pivot jaw assembly with jaw rail flange portions coupled to sides of the body portion. The pivot jaw is hingedly operated between an open and closed position. The rail arms further include a strap channel configured to hold a strap disposed around the side rail, and to secure the strap to the rail using a clamp bar via force exerted on rail and jaw flange portions of the clamp assembly, to effectively clamp the strap to the table.
Vascular access connector support device, systems, and methods
A catheter system may include a catheter adapter, which may include a distal end, a proximal end, and a lumen extending through the distal end and the proximal end. The catheter system may include a connector coupled to the proximal end of the catheter adapter. The connector may include a T-connector. The catheter system may include a connector support device, which may be wedge-shaped to support the connector at an insertion angle.
FIXATION MEANS FOR MEDICAL PERFORATION DEVICES
The present invention relates to means for fixating catheters (24), which are used in healthcare and in particular to means for fixating such catheters to a support (1).
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A CATHETER STABILIZATION AND OCCLUDER APPARATUS
Various embodiments of a catheter stabilizer that includes a retention body and an occluder for positioning within a burr hole or other channel in the body for occlusion and stabilization of a catheter during a surgical procedure are described herein.
Catheter system with remote instrument delivery
In some embodiments, a catheter system may include a catheter adapter having a distal end, a proximal end, and a lumen extending there between. In some embodiments, the catheter system may also include a catheter extending distally from the distal end of the catheter adapter, an extension tube, and a connector coupled to a proximal end of the extension tube. In some embodiments, a distal end of the extension tube may be coupled to the proximal end of the catheter adapter. In some embodiments, the connector, the extension tube, the lumen, and the catheter may form a straight pathway for delivery of an instrument to the catheter system. In some embodiments, an extension set for a catheter assembly may include the extension tube, the connector coupled to the proximal end of the extension tube, and another connector coupled to the distal end of the extension tube.
