A SANITARY DRESSING
A sanitary dressing for protecting a portion of a catheter protruding from a patient body through a skin entry site is provided. The sanitary dressing comprises a proximal zone to be arranged on a primary dressing which is in contact with patient skin, a distal zone and an intermediate zone between the proximal and distal zones, thereby forming a sheath for receiving the portion of the catheter. The proximal zone comprises an adhesive compatible with polyurethane for enabling repositioning of the sanitary dressing on the primary dressing.
COVER FOR DRUG DELIVERY TUBE DEVICE AND DRUG DELIVERY TUBE DEVICE SET INCLUDING SAME
The cover for a drug delivery tube device according to a disclosed embodiment is configured to define an insertion space having an opening formed on a lower side thereof so that the drug delivery tube device having a capillary flow path configured to allow a drug solution to flow therethrough is capable of being inserted into the opening. The cover includes a cover body extending along a circumference of the insertion space around a center axis perpendicular to an upper-lower direction.
Securement device having an integral strap and dressing
A securement device for securing a catheter includes a retainer, a strap, a first anchor pad and a second anchor pad, a gap separating an edge of the first anchor pad from an adjacent edge of the second anchor pad. The retainer can include a first base member secured to an upper surface of the first anchor pad, a second base member secured to an upper surface of the second anchor pad, and a body coupled to the first and second base members. The body can include a portion spanning the gap separating the first anchor pad from the second anchor pad. The portion of the body can include an open channel through an upper surface of the body, the open channel aligned with the gap. The body can further include a first securement mechanism and a second securement mechanism. The strap can be rotatably coupled to the body.
Securement device with integrated intra-luminal electro-conduction and external tamper sensitivity
A catheter securement device with integrated intra-luminal electro-conduction, and external tamper sensitivity, for tamper or movement detection. The catheter securement device accordingly can detect movement or tampering of an inserted catheter, which will allow a healthcare provider to take action to prevent movement or removal of the catheter from a patient.
SECUREMENT DEVICE FOR MEDICAL TUBING
One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a securement device for medical tubing including a base member having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the base member is substantially free of adhesive, and a flap operably connected to the base member, wherein the flap and the base member together define an opening configured to accommodate medical tubing. The flap has a proximal end affixed to the base member and a distal end that is selectively detachable from the base member. A fabric retaining member is operably connected to the base member and includes a distal end that is affixed to the base member and a proximal end. A first fastener is operably connected to the fabric retaining member, the first fastener is configured to releasably couple the fabric retaining member with the base member proximate to the distal end of the flap.
Antimicrobial light-emitting percutaneous site dressing
An antimicrobial light dressing device, system and method for a percutaneous treatment that bathes a treatment region around the percutaneous insertion with an antibacterial illumination source for preventing pathogens around the insertion from entering via the dermal puncture created by the insertion. The antimicrobial light dressing device combines a circumferential body centered around the insertion, and an arrangement of LEDs around the body that focus the light around the insertion and onto a therapeutic region of the insertion. An opening in the circumferential body has an articulated protrusion for offsetting a medicinal vessel such as an IV tube off the skin surface to avoid blocking light to an area under the vessel.
Catheter securement, stabilization, and antimicrobial device
A catheter housing for securing a catheter device coupled to a catheter. The catheter housing can include a cover and a hub. The catheter housing can additionally include a lock in an interior portion of the cover that secures a portion of the catheter device coupled to the catheter. The catheter housing can additionally include a bridge configured to contact and/or secure a portion of the catheter device and align the catheter device so that the catheter remains inserted at a natural or proper insertion angle relative to a patient's vein. The catheter housing can include one or more wings extending outward from a cover of the housing that can help secure tubing coupled to the catheter device.
Protection Against Unauthorized Access to Intravenous Catheter While Infusion In-Progress
A temporary catheter security device for temporarily locking an infusion catheter coupling while an infusion is in-progress. This catheter security device is designed to prevent, discourage, or detect unauthorized access to this catheter coupling. The catheter security device could have an enclosure design or a bag-type design. The catheter security device has openings where the infusion tubings exit. These openings are sufficiently wide to avoid obstruction of the fluid infusion.
SECUREMENT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR CENTRAL VENOUS ACCESS DEVICES AND SURGICAL DRAINS
A securement assembly for supporting and stabilizing a vascular access device, such as a tunneled central venous access devices (CVAD) or a surgical drain, is provided herein. The securement assembly may comprise a base and a lid. The base may include a central post about/around which the external portion of the access device or surgical drain may be wrapped. The lid may extend from the base and may be configured to cover the external portion of the access device or surgical drain (when installed). In various embodiments, the base and the lid collectively define an annular chamber around the central post of the base.
MEDICAL APPARATUS
