Medical tube holding apparatus
A medical tube holding system for holding tubes extending from the mouth of a patient. Embodiments of the system comprise a rim or mask shaped and sized to be supported on the face of a patient, a lower support surface comprising various shapes and openings, and a tube holding device comprising at least one opening for receiving a medical tube and comprising a first adjusting component and a second adjusting component. Embodiments of the system include various features, including adjusting mechanisms in various dimensions, tube clamps, cushioning and straps.
SEALING AND SECURING DRESSING SYSTEM FOR VASCULAR ACCESS DEVICES
Devices, systems, and methods used to seal and secure a medical device at an insertion site are disclosed. The systems include a mating dressing device, a central connector, and a compression lock collar. The mating dressing device includes an adhesive plate portion that forms a first circumferential seal around the insertion site and a mating body portion that the central connector form fits to. The compression lock collar compresses the mating body portion against the central connector to form a second circumferential seal. The systems can also include a segment of intravenous tubing coupled to the central connector and used for application of the mating dressing device and compression lock collar.
Catheter stabilization platform, systems, and methods
An attachment for a catheter assembly may include a platform, which may include an upper surface and a bottom surface. The bottom surface may be configured to contact skin of a patient. At least a portion of the upper surface may be configured to support the catheter assembly. The upper surface may support the catheter assembly at an angle with respect to skin of the patient that is approximately equal to an insertion angle of a catheter of the catheter assembly. The attachment may include snap feature coupled to the upper surface of the platform. The attachment may include a blunt cannula extending distally from the snap feature. The blunt cannula and the portion of the upper surface may provide a generally straight pathway for an instrument inserted distally through the attachment into the catheter assembly.
Tube stabilising device
A tube stabilising device (10, 20, 30) for a tube attached to a patient, comprising a base member (110, 210, 310) fixable to a surface, the base member having a support surface (112, 212, 312) for supporting the base member on a surface of the patient. The tube stabilising device further comprising a tube retaining member (120, 220, 320). The base member includes a cavity (114, 214, 314) configured to receive a flange (122, 222, 322) of the tube retaining member such that, when received, the cavity at least partially overlaps the flange so that the flange is retained by the base member, the tube retaining member is moveably attached to the base member and the flange is moveable within the cavity in any direction parallel to the support surface. The tube retaining member is configured to retain a tube extending from the patient such that, when retained, the tube is moveable relative to the base member.
A MEDICAL DEVICE SECUREMENT SYSTEM
A medical device securement system includes a main body having a first section and a second section displaceable relative to one another to translate the system between an undeployed state and a deployed state, a first array of microneedles projecting from a tissue contacting surface of the first section and a second array of microneedles projecting from a tissue contacting surface of the second section, a retention device provided on the main body for receiving and engaging the medical device, wherein the first section comprises a first base defining the tissue contacting surface and a closure member hingedly articulated relative to the first base between a closed position defining an enclosure between the first base and the closure member in which the retention device is located and in which the medical device may be at least partially contained, and an open position permitting access to the enclosure.
Sheath retainer devices, systems and methods
In general, medical sheath systems that can employ retainer devices having a plurality of channels configured to retain a sheath assembly in one or more curved configurations are described. In one embodiment, a retainer device may releasably retain a curvable tube of the sheath assembly in any of multiple curved configurations that range, for example, in selectable increments between 0° to 180°.
Untethered Catheter Containment System and Method
A catheter containment system configured for securing a proximal portion of a catheter placement system within a sterile field. This relieves the clinician from holding the proximal portion to prevent them for falling outside of the sterile field. Further, the proximal portion can be secured out of the way from the insertion site providing a clear field of view. Embodiments include a body, having a channel configured to releasably engage an extension leg or guidewire, and a securement feature to secure the body to a portion of a drape or similar item of the sterile field. Exemplary securement features can include clips, clasps, pins, magnetic elements, adhesives, twist ties, zip ties, snap fasteners, hook and loop attachments, mechanical grasping devices or adhesive pads. The system can further include anchor tabs that can be adhered to the drape to provide an anchor point.
Handheld, Untethered Catheter Containment System and Method
A catheter containment device configured to retain a proximal portion of a catheter placement system, such as a catheter, hub, extension leg, luer lock, or guidewire. The device includes a handle configured to engage a digit of the clinician to couple the device and the proximal portion of a catheter placement system thereto. This allows the clinician to retain the proximal portion within the sterile field without reducing dexterity or obstructing the clinician's view of the insertion site or the catheter placement system. Further the device can allow the clinician to manipulate the proximal portion of the catheter system while mitigating dropping or tangling.
IV TUBING CARRIAGE SYSTEM
A device for supporting IV tubing along a distance and suspending the tubing above the floor includes a support arm and a cradle. The cradle is positioned along a shaft of the support and is configured to receive a length of IV tubing therein.
CATHETER TIP CONTROL DEVICE AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A catheter assembly may include a catheter adapter having a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen extending therebetween. A wedge adapter may be retained within the lumen and have a wedge coupled thereto. The wedge may be configured to retain an end of a catheter such that a tip of the catheter extends through the distal end of the catheter adapter. A control feature may extend through an end or side wall of the catheter adapter. The control feature may be configured to manipulate the wedge to control a position of the tip of the catheter to open a fluid path within a vasculature.
