Interlocking low profile gripping device
A low profile gripping device having a locking assembly attached to a base having a table, wherein the locking assembly comprises a locking strap with pairs of fins disposed for insertion into an aperture of a buckle. The locking assembly comprises an offset anchor block having opposing sides, the locking strap attached to one side, and the buckle attached to the opposing side. The interface between the locking strap and the anchor block forms a creased groove for seating a flexible polymer tube or polymer coated cable. The creased groove is located above the table such that the seated tube or cable is substantially centered above the base. The locking strap is inserted through the aperture to secure the tube or cable in the creased groove, and the fins retain the locking strap in fixed relation to the buckle.
INTRAVENOUS LINE HOLDER
Described is an apparatus for supporting an intravenous line. The apparatus includes an intravenous line housing defining an intravenous line guide. The intravenous line guide is configured to hold the intravenous line and direct the intravenous line along a reversing path and to a substantially proximally-directed entry angle for entry into a dorsal surface of a user's hand. The apparatus further includes a glove that is secured to the intravenous line housing, where the glove is configured to hold the intravenous line housing to the user's hand.
MEDICAL DEVICE STABILIZATION SYSTEM
A medical device stabilization system is provided for securing a device to a patient, relative to the angle and point of insertion thereby reducing stress at the insertion site, discomfort for the patient, and the risk of insertion site bleeding, while minimizing risk of damage to the medical device. The stabilization system may include a base that may be affixed to a patient and/or a stabilizer pad that may be removably coupled to the base. The stabilizer has angled first and second top surfaces which meet at an apex of the stabilizer. The angle of the first top surface corresponds with the insertion angle of the medical device. The base includes an opening such that the medical device extends through the opening, along the first top surface, over the apex, and along the second top surface.
Catheter Dressing and/or Securement Device and System, Method, and Product for Intravenous Site Condition Detection
A method may include obtaining, with a first temperature sensor, a first temperature measurement at a first location on a body of a patient adjacent a catheter insertion site of a catheter; obtaining, with an array of temperature sensors, a plurality of temperature measurements at a plurality of locations on the body of the patient, each of the plurality of locations being spaced apart from the first location, and the plurality of locations including locations at a plurality of different distances from the first location; determining, with at least one processor, based on the first temperature measurement and the plurality of temperature measurements, an alert condition associated with a dressing and/or securement device and/or the catheter; and in response to determining the alert condition, generating, with at least one processor, an alert to a user.
Injection Port Dressing Assembly
An injection port dressing assembly for covering an injection port in a patient includes a dressing that is positionable around an injection port in a patient to inhibit bacteria from accessing the injection port. The dressing has a tube opening therein to accommodate an injection tube from the injection port. A dome is provided and the dome is coupled to the dressing to cover the injection port when the dressing is placed on the patient. The dome is comprised of a translucent material to facilitate the injection port to be visible through the dome. An adhesive layer is coupled to the dressing to adhesively engage the patient's skin.
EXTERNAL NEEDLE GUIDE AND ANCHOR
An external needle guide can include a skin contact portion for attaching to skin of a patient and a needle guide portion for guiding a needle into a vessel of the patient. The external needle guide provides an accurate placement of a needle into the vessel (e.g., a good puncture), which reduces the failures of the vessel. Furthermore, because of the accurate placement of the needles and the ease of placement of the external needle guide, a patient and/or another person can insert the needles into the vessel with one hand. An external needle guide can also include an anchor portion that secures a needle to the external needle guide, preventing unwanted movement of the needle and damage to the vessel.
Subcutaneous anchor device for securing a catheter
Some embodiments of a medical device anchor system include an anchor device that receives a medical instrument (such as a catheter or the like) and secures the instrument in place relative to a skin penetration point. In some circumstances, the anchor device may allow the anchor device to be used after medical instrument is already in place without the need for a second penetration point for the anchor device.
CATHETER SNUGGER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A device for snugging a balloon of a catheter against an inner wall of an intra-corporeal lumen or surface serviced by the catheter includes a hollow column having a top end and a bottom end, forming a throughway sized to accommodate a tube of the catheter, and a flange extending from the bottom end of the hollow column generally perpendicularly to length of the hollow column. A slit is formed in the hollow column and the flange through which the hollow column is connectable to the tube of the catheter. The catheter is tugged to contact the balloon to the inner wall of the lumen, and the device is fixed to the tube of the catheter atop the skin of a body serviced by the catheter to tension pressure of the balloon against the inner wall.
SECUREMENT DEVICE FOR PIPES, CABLES OR CATHETERS
A securement device 1 for securely attaching tubular articles 2 to surfaces comprising an anchor pad 3 for placing the securement device 1 on the surface, a substantially cylindrical base 4 on the anchor pad 3 and a screw cap 5 rotatably mountable on the base 4 at a screw mounting 6 defined between the base 4 and the screw cap 5 between an article receiving position and an article gripping position in which radial pressure is applied to the article 2 placed in the securement device 1 to securely hold the article 2 without the use of external adhesive fixings and prevent micro-pistoning of the article 2.
SHEATH RETAINER DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
In general, medical sheath systems that can employ retainer devices having a plurality of channels configured to retain a sheath assembly in one or more curved configurations are described. In one embodiment, a retainer device may releasably retain a curvable tube of the sheath assembly in any of multiple curved configurations that range, for example, in selectable increments between 0° to 180°.
