EXPANDABLE-MOUTH CATHETER INTRODUCER TOOL
A medical assembly includes an expandable-mouth catheter and an introducer tool configured to facilitate advancement of the catheter into a delivery sheath. In some examples, a distal-most portion of the introducer tool includes a plurality of axial extensions separated by triangular-shaped slits. When the catheter is received within the introducer tool and when the introducer tool is received within a tapered portion of the delivery sheath, the axial extensions are configured to collapse radially inward to radially compress the expandable member and to enable the introducer to extend farther into the delivery sheath.
Guide extension catheter with helically-shaped entry port
A guide extension catheter includes a push member and a distal shaft coupled to and extending distally from the push member. The distal shaft includes a shaft wall and a passageway. The shaft wall includes a helically-shaped proximal end and a distal end. The helically-shaped proximal end coils helically about a first central longitudinal axis of the passageway of the distal shaft. The helically-shaped proximal end of the shaft wall defines a helically-shaped entry port of the distal shaft. The distal shaft may include a helically-shaped collar coupled to the helically-shaped proximal end of the distal shaft, the collar defining the helically-shaped entry port of the distal shaft.
EXPANDABLE SHEATH INCLUDING REVERSE BAYONET LOCKING HUB
A sheath locking system comprising an introducer locking hub comprising a hub body defining a locking channel for engaging a corresponding guide on a sheath locking sleeve. The sheath locking sleeve removably coupled to the introducer locking hub via engagement between the guide and the locking channel. The sheath locking sleeve movable between an unlocked position where the sheath locking sleeve is rotationally and axially movable with respect to the introducer locking hub, and a locked position where the sheath locking sleeve is axially fixed with respect to the introducer locking hub.
SELF CENTERING LOW FRICTION EXTENDABLE NEUROVASCULAR CATHETER
A catheter is provided which includes an outer catheter and an extendable inner catheter, dimensioned to produce an annular gap between the two catheters. A centering feature such as a plurality of projections is positioned between the inner catheter and the outer catheter to center the inner catheter.
Double-balloon catheter device for gastrointestinal anastomosis
A double-balloon catheter device for gastrointestinal anastomosis. The double-balloon catheter device for gastrointestinal anastomosis includes a liquid injection assembly, a double-balloon assembly, and a supporting device (15) connecting the liquid injection assembly and the double-balloon assembly. The liquid injection assembly includes a first balloon liquid injection connection port (2), a guide wire connection port (3), and a second balloon liquid injection connection port (4). The double-balloon assembly includes a double-balloon catheter device (5), and includes a first balloon (6) and a second balloon (7) that can expand-and that are respectively disposed on the two ends of the double-balloon catheter device (5). The double-balloon catheter device (5) is provided with a first balloon liquid injection channel (51), a guide wire channel (52), and a second balloon liquid injection channel (53).
Expandable introducer sheath to preserve guidewire access
An introducer sheath is described. The introducer sheath may include a tubular body. The tubular body may extend from a distal end toward a proximal end. The tubular body may include a lumen. The lumen may at least partially be defined by a wall. A channel may be disposed within the wall. The channel may be configured to receive a guidewire. The tubular body may include an expandable portion expandable to increase a cross-sectional area of the lumen.
Introducer sheath assembly for catheter systems and methods of using same
A catheter system includes a catheter including an elongate body having an expandable medical device coupled with a distal end thereof, and an introducer sheath assembly disposed over a proximal section of the catheter. The introducer sheath assembly includes an introducer sheath disposed over the catheter to form a gap therebetween, and a tubular plug. The introducer sheath includes an elongate body extending from a proximal end to a distal end and defining a lumen therein. The tubular plug extends through the lumen and includes an elongate body extending from a proximal end to a distal end that protrudes from the introducer sheath distal end. The plug is disposed between the catheter and the introducer sheath to occlude the gap. The plug is releasably fixed relative to the introducer sheath such that the plug is removable from the lumen to allow the expandable medical device to pass therethrough.
Medical catheter
In some examples, a catheter may include an elongate body and a push assembly. The elongate body may include an inner liner defining an entry port into a lumen defined by the elongate body, and an outer jacket. The push assembly may an anchor member positioned at a distal end of an elongate member. Distal to a proximal end of the elongate body, a first portion of the push assembly, comprising the anchor member, may be positioned between a portion of the inner liner and a portion of the outer jacket. The anchor member may extend only partially around an outer perimeter of the inner liner when the catheter is assembled. Proximal to the proximal end of the elongate body, a second portion of the push assembly, proximal to the first portion, may be positioned outside of the outer jacket and the inner liner.
Steerable introducer sheath assembly
An introducer sheath assembly having a handle portion including a front end and a rear end, and a introducer sheath extending outwardly from the front end of the handle portion, the introducer sheath including a device lumen configured to slidably receive a corresponding device, a guidewire lumen configured to slidably receive a corresponding guidewire, a first steering cable lumen, a second steering cable lumen, a first steering cable disposed in the first steering cable lumen and a second steering cable disposed in the second steering cable lumen, wherein the first steering cable lumen, the second steering cable lumen and the guidewire lumen are disposed radially outwardly from the device lumen.
Methods and apparatuses for accessing a target patient tissue site
An introducer sheath is provided for inserting at least one medical instrument directly toward a target patient tissue site. A plurality of lumens extend longitudinally between sheath proximal and distal ends of the introducer sheath. A septum extends between the sheath proximal and distal ends and selectively laterally separates each of the sheath lumens from one another. The septum is at least partially formed from a deformable and elastomeric material. The septum has a biased condition in which the plurality of sheath lumens are at least partially isolated from one another. The septum is selectively deflectable from the biased condition to at least partially place at least one of the plurality of sheath lumens in fluid communication with at least one other of the plurality of sheath lumens.
