Guidewire feeder
Systems and apparatuses for use with a guidewire are provided. The systems/apparatuses can include a first housing, shaped to define a first channel through which the guidewire is slidable and a second housing, shaped to define a second channel through which the guidewire is slidable in at least a first direction toward the first housing. The systems/apparatuses can also include a guidewire-engaging element, disposed within the second housing, and configured to inhibit the guidewire from sliding through the second channel in a second direction away from the first housing. A tubular member having a lumen through which the guidewire is slidable and being slidably coupled to the first housing can also be included. Other embodiments are also described.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOVING MATERIAL FROM A VESSEL
Apparatus and methods employing same for loading and inserting an inverting tube apparatus into a body lumen, such as a blood vessel, including introducers for inverting tube apparatuses. Also described herein are stacked tractor regions and methods of using them for removing larger and/or longer materials from the body lumen. Also described herein are methods and apparatuses for assisting in the manual operation the inverting tube apparatuses described herein, including grips.
MOTION GENERATING INTERVENTIONAL AID DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD
Motion generating devices for imparting motion to interventional devices to aid in the use of such interventional devices, and methods of making and using the same. An exemplary motion generating device of the present disclosure comprises at least one motion source, such as a motor, voice coil actuator, or the like, and a mating surface configured to engage an interventional device, wherein the motion generating device can impart multimodal vibrational and/or rotational movement, both independently and/or simultaneously, to the interventional device thereby aiding in the advancement of the interventional device through the vasculature of a patient.
Intravenous Catheter Device Having a Guidewire for Actively Repositioning a Catheter Tip
An intravenous catheter device may include a guidewire for actively repositioning the catheter tip. A guidewire assembly may be configured to enable a clinician to actively reposition the catheter tip by moving proximal ends of segments of the guidewire. By repositioning the catheter tip, the guidewire assembly may facilitate the collection of a blood sample or the injection of a fluid through the catheter even in instances when the catheter tip has become occluded.
GUIDEWIRE MANIPULATION DEVICE
One preferred embodiment includes a guidewire manipulation device for manipulating a guidewire during a procedure. Preferably, the guidewire manipulation device includes a powered motor that drives a tandem roller assembly. The guidewire is passed through a hole positioned lengthwise through the device where the roller assembly engages the guidewire's outer surface. The interface of the manipulation device includes a power button that directs the internal roller assembly to roll the guidewire in a desired rotational direction. Additional interface controls are also preferable to provide a different roll patterns, depending upon surgeon preference and guidewire placement efficiency.
STEERABLE ENDOLUMINAL PUNCH
A steerable transseptal punch system and method of using the steerable transseptal punch system to access the left atrium.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR GUIDEWIRE MANAGEMENT
Devices and methods for management of a guidewire during catheter insertion. Particular embodiments include unidirectional valves to allow movement of a guidewire in one direction only.
Catheter placement device
A deep vein intravenous introducer has a wheel located toward the front end of the device that can be rotated by the index finger of the user. After placement of the needle in the lumen of the vessel, the user rotates the wheel, which turns a drive wheel. The drive wheel has an outer surface that advances the guide wire through the center of the needle and into the patient. Once the guide wire is advanced into the vessel lumen the catheter can be advanced over the guide wire with a hub or finger tab on the catheter close to the index finger. The operation can be performed by one hand without moving the hand from its initial position.
Steerable endoluminal punch
A steerable transseptal punch system and method of using the steerable transseptal punch system to access the left atrium.
GUIDEWIRE WITH TACTILE FEEL
In various examples, a guidewire with tactile feel is described. The guidewire includes an elongate core wire including a distal end, a proximal end, and a longitudinal axis extending along a length of the core wire from the distal end to the proximal end. A grip portion is disposed on the core wire. The grip portion is configured to provide tactile feel to a user of the guidewire. In some examples, a method for making the guidewire is also described.
