The position sensor is configured to generate signals indicating a position of the position sensor within the head. The position sensor is configured to advance distally between at least first and second positions. The position sensor is disposed adjacent the distal end of the shaft in the first position, and is configured to be carried further distally by the dilation catheter to the second position. In the second position, the position sensor is separated a distance from the distal end of the shaft.

STOP-MOVEMENT DEVICE FOR ELONGATED MEDICAL ASSEMBLY

A stop-movement device is configured to be mounted to a first elongated medical assembly and a second elongated medical assembly. The stop-movement device has a body configured to stop, at least in part, relative movement between the second elongated medical assembly and the first elongated medical assembly.

Guidewire adjuster and delivery-system control handle
11197772 · 2021-12-14 · ·

The present invention provides a guidewire adjuster and a delivery-system control handle provided with the guidewire adjuster. The guidewire adjuster includes a support mechanism which has a lumen for a guidewire to extend therethrough; and a driving mechanism for driving the guidewire to move back and forth in the lumen. The guidewire adjuster is able to drive the guidewire to move with respect to a sheath of the delivery system. The support mechanism is connected to the control handle of the delivery system and forms a lumen for accommodating the guidewire. A proximal end of the sheath together with the stent can be driven to move upwardly, due to the relative movement between the guidewire and the sheath of the delivery system. Therefore, the position of the stent can be adjusted by advancing the guidewire forward when the stent has been deployed at a lower position than expected.

GUIDEWIRE MANIPULATOR

A manipulator, including an elongated chassis containing a U-shaped channel defining a distal direction and a proximal direction. The manipulator also includes an adjuster that is configured to slide in the U-shaped channel. The adjuster includes a first wheel which on rotation translates a guidewire positioned in the adjuster along an axis of the guidewire, and a second wheel which on rotation rotates the guidewire positioned in the adjuster about the axis of the guidewire. The adjuster also includes a port, distal to the first and the second wheel, that is configured to accept a tubular balloon and the guidewire.

Ultrasound assisted catheter placement system

A deep vein intravenous introducer has a wheel located toward the front end of the device that can be rotated by the index finger of the user. After placement of the needle in the lumen of the vessel, the user rotates the wheel, which advances the wire guide through the center of the needle and into the patient. Once the guide wire is advanced into the vessel lumen the catheter can be advanced over the guide wire with a hub or finger tab on the catheter close to the index finger. The operation can be performed by one hand without moving the hand from its initial position. The user can then simultaneously use the other hand to operate an ultrasound detection device during insertion without the assistance of another person.

A device for interfacing with a syringe body and plunger for delivering a wire into a tissue workspace includes a needle configured for coupling with the syringe body having a bore for guiding a proximal end of the wire into the workspace. A housing is configured for coupling with the syringe body for engagement by a user. A slide is configured for coupling with the syringe plunger and can be engaged by a user for moving the syringe plunger between a forward position and a retracted position. The slide is releasably coupled with a distal end of the wire for moving the wire distal end and advancing the proximal end of the wire forwardly in the needle when the slide moves the syringe plunger from the forward position to the retracted position. The slide may include a wire gripping structure for releasably gripping the wire for moving the distal end of the wire when the syringe plunger is moved. A wire advancing mechanism translates the movement of the wire distal end for advancing the proximal end of the wire forwardly as a result of the syringe plunger moving to the retracted position.

A guidewire retraction device having a first support structure located opposite a second support structure. The first support structure has a primary bore traversing the length of the first support structure. The first support structure has a first opening bordering a first ramp. The first ramp is connected to the primary bore. A second support structure has a secondary bore traversing the length of the second support structure. The second support structure has a second opening bordering a second ramp. The second ramp is connected to the secondary bore. The first ramp of the first support structure and the second ramp of the second support structure are configured to receive a guidewire. A rotation element is rotated in a first direction to orient the guidewire in a retracted orientation. The rotation element is rotated in a second direction to orient the guidewire in an advanced orientation.
