Provided is a medical guidewire that ensures adhesion of a coating layer and exhibits excellent smoothness. A medical guidewire including a wire body that is flexible and long, an intermediate layer that has at least one layer and covers a surface of the wire body, and an outermost layer that covers a surface of the intermediate layer, in which the intermediate layer is colored by including a pigment, and a concentration of the pigment is wt % or more and wt % or less with respect to the intermediate layer as a whole.

TISSUE PUNCTURE USING HIGH ARTICULATION MICROCATHETER AND ELECTRICALLY ACTIVE GUIDEWIRE
20220370121 · 2022-11-24 · ·

A microcatheter with a guidewire therein can be steered to target tissue, then the target tissue can be punctured with the guidewire to create a transseptal puncture. The microcatheter can have a diameter substantially smaller than known sheaths which are typically used to guide a needle to a target puncture site in known transseptal puncture treatments. The guidewire can have an atraumatic, electrically conductive distal end that can be electrically energized to puncture the target tissue. Once the guide wire is across, ancillary devices such as a dilator and sheath can be delivered over the guide wire across the transseptal puncture. The microcatheter can include one or more location sensors. A navigation module can use the electrically conductive distal end as a reference electrode to the location sensor(s) of the microcatheter.

DELIVERY GUIDEWIRE AND THERAPEUTIC TREATMENT DEVICE
20230053337 · 2023-02-23 ·

The present invention relates to a delivery guidewire and a therapeutic treatment device including the delivery guidewire. The delivery guidewire includes a core shaft and a driving member arranged on the core shaft, and the driving member includes inner and outer components. The inner component is made of a metal and fixedly sleeved over the core shaft, and the outer component is made of a polymeric material and fixedly sleeved over the inner component. The inner component fixedly sleeved over the core shaft indirectly enhances attachment of the outer component to the core shaft, thus reducing the risk of loosening, wrinkling or displacement of the outer component and resulting in improved safety and reliability of the delivery guidewire during use.

Delivery guidewire

A delivery guidewire for navigating a catheter in the heart to deliver a valve prosthesis. The delivery guidewire comprising an elongated core, an outer sleeve disposed on the elongated core, and a coil disposed on a distal portion of the elongated core. The delivery guidewire having a first section having a generally uniform diameter and a second section having a tapering section. A distal portion of the second section of the delivery guidewire comprises a pigtail shape atraumatic tip which can remain in the left ventricle.

GUIDE WIRE TIP HAVING ROUGHENED SURFACE

A guidewire for use in penetrating through complex and stenosed lesions. The distal tip of the guidewire has a roughened surface to increase frictional engagement with calcified and fibrous tissue to increase the penetration of the distal tip and the guidewire into and through the lesion and reduce the likelihood of deflection of the guidewire tip. The average surface roughness of the distal tip is in the range from 1 micron to 200 microns.

ROTATION TRANSMISSION STRUCTURE, CATHETER, AND GUIDE WIRE

A rotation transmission structure includes a coil body formed by winding wires, and a reinforcing body for connecting adjacent wires of the coil body. When the wires of the coil body are connected to one another by the reinforcing body, the rigidity of a predetermined region of the rotation transmission structure in the longitudinal direction is lower than the rigidity of another region of the rotation transmission structure.

GUIDE WIRE

To provide a guide wire including a core shaft having an elongated outer shape, and a coating film on an outer surface of the core shaft, the coating film containing a resin. The coating film includes a marker portion containing a pigment on an outer surface of the coating film and a resin portion not containing the pigment. On the outer surface of the coating film, the marker portion and the resin portion are alternately visible in a stretching direction. Of the coating film, a thickness of a portion where the marker portion is visible on the outer surface and a thickness of a portion where the resin portion is visible on the outer surface are substantially the same, or the thickness of the portion where the marker portion is visible is smaller than the thickness of the portion where the resin portion is visible.

GUIDE WIRE

A guide wire includes a main body portion having an elongated outer shape and having a base and a marker alternately presented on an outer surface along an extending direction, and a resin layer having light permeability, covering the outer surface of the main body portion, and including a recessed portion and a protruding portion alternately arranged along the extending direction of the main body portion, wherein in longitudinal cross-section along the extending direction of the main body portion, a width of the marker is wider than a width of the protruding portion.
