An arrangement (100) for interconnection of waveguide structures (10,20) or components comprising a number of waveguide flange adapter elements (100) having a surface of a conductive material with a periodic or quasi-periodic structure (15) formed by a number of protruding elements (115) arranged or designed to allow waves to pass across a gap between a surface around a waveguide opening (3) to another waveguide opening in a desired direction or waveguide paths, at least in an intended frequency band of operation, and to stop propagation of waves in the gap in other directions. Interconnection with a waveguide flange or another waveguide flange adapter element is allowed without requiring electrical or conductive contact and assuring that the gap is present between the at least one surface (15) formed by periodically or quasi-periodically arranged protruding elements (115) and a surface around a waveguide opening of the other waveguide flange (20), hence assuring that the surface (15) formed by the periodically or quasi-periodically arranged protruding elements (115) is not in direct mechanical contact with the other, opposite, interconnecting, waveguide flange (20).

The invention relates to a waveguide arrangement for guiding electromagnetic waves, which comprises a rectangular waveguide and a circular waveguide. The rectangular waveguide merges into the circular waveguide at an angle. The circular waveguide is filled with a dielectric which projects into the rectangular waveguide in a transition section. The dielectric filling is beveled at a defined angle in the transition section so that a transition surface is formed by the inner edge at the transition of the waveguide arrangement and the end face of the rectangular waveguide at the transition. The dielectric filling is preferably flush with the closing wall of the rectangular waveguide.

Radio-frequency seal at interface of waveguide blocks

The described features include a scalable waveguide architecture for a waveguide device. The waveguide device may be split into one or more waveguide blocks instead of manufacturing increasingly larger single-piece waveguide devices. Described techniques provide for a radio-frequency (RF) seal between such waveguide blocks that may facilitate greater manufacturing tolerances while maintaining an effective RF seal at the junction of the waveguide blocks. The described techniques include channels within one or more waveguide blocks opening to the dielectric gap between the waveguide blocks. The channels may, for each of multiple waveguides joined at the interface between waveguide blocks, be included in one or both waveguide blocks and may be in a single waveguide dimension relative to the multiple waveguides, or extend for more than one waveguide dimensions.

An image display device and a video wall including the same are disclosed. The image display device includes a housing, a display configured to display an image, a first wireless communication module disposed on one surface of the housing, and a second wireless communication module disposed at a position on an opposite surface of the housing corresponding to a position of the first wireless communication module. The first wireless communication module and the second wireless communication module transmit and receive a signal through the same short-range communication method. Various other embodiments are possible.

VERTICALLY TRANSITIONING BETWEEN SUBSTRATE INTEGRATED WAVEGUIDES (SIWs) WITHIN A MULTILAYERED PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD (PCB)

Methods and apparatuses for vertically transitioning signals between substrate integrated waveguides within a multilayered printed circuit board (PCB) are disclosed.
