20230048347 · 2023-02-16 ·

In some embodiments, an RFID device may include a multilayer reactive strap having a first substrate, a first conductor portion, a second conductor portion, and a first connection. The first conductor portion may enclose a first area and may be disposed on a first side of first substrate. A second conductor portion may enclose a second area and may be disposed on a second side of the first substrate. A first connection may couple the first conductor portion and the second conductor portion together, and may thereby form a multiturn coil that includes both the first conductor portion and the second conductor portion.

METHOD FOR CREATING A COIL TYPE ANTENNA FOR A RFID TAG

In some embodiments, a method of constructing a coil antenna structure may include forming a coiled antenna by cutting a spiraling gap into a conductive layer, applying a force to at least a part of the conductive layer to expand the gap between coils of the conductive layer to a distance great enough to prevent conductive sections of the coils from touching each other.

GAMING TABLE

To provide a technology related to a gaming table with an antenna detection range defined more appropriately. The gaming table includes a plurality of antennas, a placement board, and a control unit. Each of the plurality of antennas is provided at such a position that a detection range is located above a placement surface of the placement board. Each of the plurality of antennas is provided such that a portion of a first antenna overlaps a portion of a second antenna. The control unit exerts control to identify a tip on the placement board and not to identify the same tip repeatedly.

WIRELESS DATA TERMINAL AND WIRELESS DATA TERMINAL CONTROL SYSTEM
20230047107 · 2023-02-16 ·

This application provides a wireless data terminal and a wireless data terminal control system. The wireless data terminal includes a housing, a drive assembly, a first antenna assembly, and a second antenna assembly. The drive assembly can drive the first antenna assembly and the second antenna assembly to extend or retract to move in different directions between a first location and a second location. When the wireless data terminal does not need to be used or high isolation between antennas is not required, the drive assembly may drive the antenna assembly to retract to the first location, so that a volume occupied by the wireless data terminal can be reduced while an antenna isolation requirement is met. When high isolation between the antennas is required, the drive assembly may drive the antenna assembly to extend to the second location, so that isolation between the antennas is increased.

MULTI-BODY COHERENT APERTURE SYNTHESIS

An antenna is provided with sub-apertures whose relative locations change and that are not connected via a mechanical link. a Multi-Body Coherent Aperture Synthesis system supports an antenna with sub-aperture devices that collect views, collect (using an optical link) ranging information (that includes timing information) relating to distance between sub-aperture devices, and transmit the collected views and ranging information to a master device. The master device synthesizes the collected views into a synthesized image based on the ranging information.

Multi-directional, multi-port array antenna structure

A simple multi-directional, multi-port array antenna structure is disclosed that can be used for a variety of applications, including but not limited to direction finding (DF) and beam-forming applications in receive and transmit modes, respectively. The disclosed antenna structure offers unique functionalities in both receive and transmit modes. For DF applications in the receive mode, the back-end of the antenna structure features a power sensing mechanism to monitor the power received at all ports. In the transmit mode, the disclosed antenna structure is used for beamforming applications by providing individual port excitation and using antenna arrays.

Methods and apparatus for implementing an access point supporting multiple communications protocols

Access points can be mounted in a variety of locations or orientations and can support multiple communications protocols. In some embodiments, an access point includes a main housing and a front housing. The main and front housing are connected by a hinge. A Wi-Fi antenna is included in the front housing in some embodiments. The access point is configured for use in either an open or closed position. When mounted in a vertical position, the front housing can be lowered into a horizontal position, which facilitates a preferred orientation of an antenna with respect to the ground. A first set of cooling fins serves to maintain components of the access point offset from a wall to which the access point is mounted. This facilitates airflow. Additional fins act as a spacer between the main housing and the front housing when the access point is used in a closed position. This facilitates air flow around both sides of the main housing.

RFID tags designed to work on difficult substrates

An RFID tag device is disclosed that is designed to operate on difficult substrates, such as dielectric surfaces with high loss, organic material surfaces, or metallic surfaces. The RFID tag device comprises an RFID antenna structure formed on one side of a thermoplastic substrate component with an RFID chip coupled to it in a roll to roll process. The substrate component is then deformed into a series of cavities with the RFID antenna structure within the cavities. Specifically, the RFID antenna structure is positioned fully on a top surface of the cavity, or positioned partially in a top and partially on an edge/bottom of the cavity.
