RECONFIGURABLE ANTENNA SYSTEMS INTEGRATED WITH METAL CASE
Reconfigurable antenna systems integrated with a metal case are provided herein. In certain embodiments, user equipment (UE) for a cellular network includes a metal case and an antenna system for transmitting and/or receiving wireless signals. The antenna system includes a tuning conductor formed in the metal case, a patch antenna element that is spaced apart from the tuning conductor, and a switch electrically connected in series between the tuning conductor and a ground voltage. The switch electrically connects the tuning conductor to the ground voltage in an on state and electrically disconnects the tuning conductor from the ground voltage in an off state.

LOW PROFILE HIGH PERFORMANCE INTEGRATED ANTENNA FOR SMALL CELL BASE STATION
The present disclosure relates to antenna design for installation on small base stations. The antenna design corresponds to a conformal antenna design that fits into a traditional sun-shield of an outdoor base station. In another aspect, the antenna design supports multiple bands and multiple technologies. In a further aspect, the antenna design provides a gain pattern that allows installation of the small cells into directional sectors to further enhance the spectral efficiency while providing a single installation location. In still a further aspect, the design permits the form factor of the base station to meet unique and desirable aesthetic principals such as a modern curved surface and an attractive and distinctive height, width and depth ratio.

Disclosed is a radio-wave-transmissive cover of a vehicle radar, which exhibits a metallic color and is imparted with improved radio-wave transmission performance. The radio-wave-transmissive cover may include an optical film formed by simultaneously depositing an aluminum (Al) material and a low-melting-point material, such that a radio wave radiated from an antenna of a radar, for example, provided in a vehicle is transmitted. The radio-wave-transmissive cover includes a substrate, and an optical film including aluminum (Al) and a low-melting-point metal having a melting point less than the melting point of aluminum (Al) on the surface of the substrate.

Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an assembly. In some embodiments the assembly comprises at least one antenna and a thermal insulation component. In some embodiments, the at least one antenna is configured to transmit a field of radiofrequency (RF) communication at an operating frequency ranging from 6 GHz to 100 GHz. In some embodiments, the thermal insulation component is disposed within the field of RF communication. In some embodiments, the thermal insulation component has a thermal conductivity ranging from 0.0025 W/m.Math.K to 0.025 W/m.Math.K at 25° C. and 1 atm.
Antenna structure and wireless communication device using the same
An antenna structure suitable for 5G use in controlling direction of radio beams and in increasing antenna gain includes a substrate, an array of antennas, a main body, a lens array, a grounding plate, and a high-impedance surface (HIS) layer embedded into the substrate. The array of antenna units is positioned on the substrate surface under the protection of the main body. The lens array includes a lens units for each antenna unit, the lens units concentrate the beams generated by the antenna units. The grounding plate is underneath and grounds the antenna units. The HIS layer suppresses surface waves generated by the lens arrays and the substrate and increases a gain of the antenna structure in certain directions.
