Multi-cable connector with cable piercing terminals
A connector is provided with a plurality of terminals and a housing. The terminals include a first terminal corresponding to a first cable and a second terminal corresponding to a second cable. Each of the terminals has a contact portion, a held portion and a connection portion. The contact portion is brought into contact with a mating contact portion when the connector is connected to a mating connector. The held portion is held by the housing. When the connector is attached to a composite cable, the connection portion pierces a covering portion of a cable corresponding thereto and is connected to a conductor of the cable. The connection portion of the first terminal protrudes from the held portion in a front-rear direction. The connection portion of the second terminal protrudes from the held portion in a perpendicular direction.
Methods and apparatus for rendering electrical cables safe
A safe grounding apparatus (SGA) for safely grounding or neutralizing the electrical conductors for permanent magnet motor (PMM) powered artificial lift systems and methods of practicing the same are disclosed. The SGA of the present invention ameliorates some of the dangers associated with PMM's. Methods of shorting, grounding, testing and monitoring the electrical conductors of a permanent magnet motor in order to safely manipulate the conductors are also disclosed.
SINGLE PAIR ETHERNET FIELD TERMINABLE CONNECTOR
A communications connector has a middle barrel, top sled, and bottom sled. The top sled has a top wire opening and a top insulation displacement contact (IDC) hole with the top IDC hole providing access to a wire inserted into the top wire opening. The top sled has a top IDC channel containing a top IDC. The bottom sled has a bottom wire opening and a bottom IDC hole with the bottom IDC hole providing access to a wire inserted into the bottom wire opening. The bottom sled also has a bottom IDC channel with a bottom IDC. The top and bottom sleds are can be fitted together and inserted into the middle barrel with the top IDC engaging a wire inserted into the bottom wire opening through the bottom IDC hole and the bottom IDC engaging a wire inserted into the top wire opening through the top IDC hole.
Positioning element and contacting element for twin axial cables
The invention relates to a positioning element for twin axial cables as well as to a contacting element comprising a positioning element of said type. In an illustrative embodiment of a positioning element for twin axial cables, the positioning element is at least partially electroconductive. Furthermore, the positioning element has at least one recess which is arranged and designed to accommodate a twin axial cable in such a way that an electroconductive connection is established between an outer conductor of the twin axial cable and the positioning element.
CONNECTOR
CONNECTION INSTRUMENT
A connection instrument includes: a cable including an electrical wire and two separated covering parts covering the electrical wire; a connection terminal connectable to a terminal of an external connector; a connection part; a flat plate-shaped wiring board; and a housing. The connection part electrically connects the connection terminal and the electrical wire exposed between the two separated covering parts. The connection terminal and connection part are arranged on the wiring board. The wiring board is located between the two covering parts. The housing allows insertion/extraction of the external connector and houses the wiring board. At least part of the wiring board is roughly in contact with or included in a space linking adjacent ends of the two covering parts.
Flexible, interruptible radial bus and bus-mounted bead device
A multi-conductor bus with radially arranged conductor wires on which addressable bead devices that may incorporate light-emitting diodes (LEDs) or other surface mount devices (SMDs) can be easily mounted. The radial bus is designed to provide an improved range of flexibility and motion while allowing for easy addition of bead devices along its length that utilize self-addressing bus protocols such as cascading device protocols. The design of the flexible, interruptible radial bus facilitates the use of pass-through and interrupted paths along the bus that simplifies the installation of addressable devices along the bus such as the bus-mounted bead devices disclosed herein.
Keyed cable and connector system
A universal cable system includes a cable, which may include a keyed profile and an optional, integrated pull cable for low-voltage applications in residential and commercial structures, both old and new construction, which may further includes a connector, which does not require individual splicing of the wires from the cable. The connector may be self-crimping or crimped with a tool. During installation of the connector onto the cable, conductors in the connector may be simultaneously spliced to the wires of the cable during crimping.
WIRE CONNECTOR
The invention relates to the technical field of manufacturing illumination equipments, and more particularly, to a wire connector for use in an illumination equipment. The wire connector comprises: a receiving part having a hollow structure, wherein input wires and output wires are arranged in the receiving part; two conductive tabs, through which the input wires are connected to the output wires, the two conductive tabs are used to electrically connect the input wires and the output wires; wherein the receiving part comprises at least one clamping groove; a covering part clamped in the at least one clamping groove of the receiving part for sealing the two conductive tabs in the receiving part; the receiving part is connected to the covering part by means of a flexible part.
