The valve assembly (1, 12, 21, 31, 44, 52, 60) also includes a first set of one or more valves (3) 5 arranged within the hollow tube (2). The first set of valves (3) is configured to permit sliding passage of a substantially cylindrical object (4). The valve assembly (1, 12, 21, 31, 44, 52, 60) also includes a second set of valves (5) arranged within the hollow tube (2) and spaced apart from the first set of valves to (3) define a chamber. The second set of valves (5) are configured to permit sliding passage of the cylindrical object (4). The 10 valve assembly (1, 12, 21, 31, 44, 52, 60) also includes one or more ultraviolet light sources (10) within the chamber (6) and/or a first port (13) connecting the chamber (6) to the exterior of the hollow tube (2) and configured for connection to a fluid flow path (14) for supply and/or extraction of fluid (19).

GRAFT-PORT HEMODIALYSIS SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS
20230302267 · 2023-09-28 · ·

The disclosure relates to a subcutaneously implanted port device for establishing access to the vascular system of a patient requiring multiple blood treatments over an extended period of time. The systems, devices and methods disclosed herein may reduce miscannulation, promote intra-session hemostasis, and decrease the incidence of bacteremia and sepsis among other improvements and advantages. The devices include a port with a tapered seat for receiving an access tube, the first tapered seat having a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a conical section extending between the proximal portion and the distal portion; and an interface surface configured to engage a blood vessel or a vascular access catheter. The proximal portion of the tapered seat is configured to receive the access tube therethrough, and the tapered seat creates a mismatch fit with a diameter of the access tube when in use for an increase in flow during treatment.

VASCULAR ACCESS SITE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
20210361922 · 2021-11-25 ·

A vascular access site management system includes a stabilization body and a flow housing that is rotatable relative to the stabilization body. The flow housing may have a flow path extending through it to allow fluids to be introduced into or extracted from a patient via a catheter connected to the vascular access site management system. The vascular access site management system may also include a needle free connector fluidly connected to the flow housing via a section of tubing.

VASCULAR ACCESS DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR MONITORING PATIENT HEALTH
20210361166 · 2021-11-25 ·

The present technology relates to vascular access devices, systems, and methods configured to monitor a patient's health. In some embodiments, the vascular access device may include a sensing element, and the system of the present technology may be configured to obtain physiological measurements of the patient via the sensing element, determine at least one physiological parameter based on the physiological measurement, compare the at least one physiological parameter to a predetermined threshold, and, based on the comparison, provide an indication of the patient's health.

Dermally affixed device for intravenous access

An improved, injection or blood removal device for intravenous access has a port with a septum at the exterior end of an intravenous catheter, a coupling element having an adhesive surface for securing attachment onto the skin, an injection or blood sampling unit, a connecting cannula piercing the septum of the port, and means to secure functional assembly. Attachment of the device to the skin covering or close to the intravenous puncture site and without long communicating tubes allows ambulant injection of drugs or measuring of concentration-time profiles of exogenous and endogenous analytes to improve treatment modalities on an individualized basis.

Injector apparatus and method for drug delivery

Methods and apparatus provide a therapeutic fluid to devices implanted in the body, for example to containers of devices implanted in the eye of a patient. The methods and apparatus may comprise an injector to increase an amount of therapeutic agent injected into the device implanted in the eye, or a structure to receive the therapeutic fluid within the device implanted in the eye, or combinations thereof. The device implanted in the eye may comprise a reservoir chamber having a fluid with a density different than the therapeutic fluid, and the apparatus can be adapted to at least partially separate the implanted device fluid from therapeutic fluid within the reservoir chamber to increase and amount of therapeutic fluid placed in the reservoir chamber.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING TENSION PNEUMOTHORAX USING A RAPID DEPLOYMENT CHEST PORT

The present disclosure provides apparatus and method for treating tension pneumothorax by using a rapid deployment chest port.
