Self-aligning wet connection capable of orienting downhole tools
For transmitting signals from a collar based tool to an MWD tool string, the collar based tool is connected to an adapter having a wet connector at its end, and the MWD tool string is connected to a centralizer having another wet connector at its end. The adapter includes a rotatable portion that can be oriented in a predetermined orientation, for example, a direction related to the high side of the bent housing of a mud motor tool. The centralizer and the adapter are stabbed together, thus mating the wet connectors. During stabbing, the MWD tool string orients itself with the predetermined orientation. Also, the wet connectors align themselves.
PROTECTIVE BARRIER FOR THE DIELECTRIC MATERIALS OF AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTION/INTERFACE IN AN OIL WELL ENVIRONMENT AND A METHOD OF FORMING THE SAME
A method for protecting an electrical interface in an oil well environment, the method providing the deposition/application of a metallic layer onto a thermoplastic substrate of a conductor of the electrical interface to create an impermeable barrier between a metallic encapsulating material and the thermoplastic substrate.

Receptacle for receiving a plug connector of a high-voltage cable for a microfocus X-ray tube, plug connection for a high-voltage cable
A receptacle for receiving a plug connector of a high-voltage cable for a microfocus X-ray tube with a cathode, which has a metal filament and grid cap. The receptacle has a ceramic insulator with three contiguous cavities. The first cavity near the filament includes electrical contacts for the filament and the grid cap. The second cavity includes spring contacts for supplying current to the filament and a center pin for supplying voltage to the grid. The third cavity receives the plug connector. The insulator has a removable grid mounting which is conductively connected to the grid cap of the cathode. The first and second cavities are surrounded in the radial direction by the grid mounting. An air gap extends radially between grid mounting and ceramic body. At the end of the grid mounting remote from the filament is a circumferential groove in the axial direction between the grid mounting and the ceramic insulator.
Cable connection
A cable connection (16) for a dosing module (6) for exhaust gas reduction, with a dosing module end (16b), which is designed for connection to the dosing module (6), and an end (16a) distant from the dosing module, comprising at least one electrical cable (19a, 19b) having at least one electrical conductor (28a, 28b) and a cable insulation (15a, 15b) surrounding the at least one electrical conductor (28a, 28b). The cable connection (16) is crimped in one region (26a) at the dosing module end (16b) of the cable connection (16). In the crimped region, a space (36) between the at least one electrical conductor (28a, 28b) and the cable insulation (15a, 15b) surrounding the at least one electrical conductor (28a, 28b) is filled with a silicone material (17a, 17b).
DIMM/EXPANSION CARD RETENTION METHOD FOR HIGHLY KINEMATIC ENVIRONMENTS
A system and method for stabilizing a DIMM in a DIMM connector so as to reduce wear related electrical disconnections therebetween. A base is disposed between adjacent DIMM connectors and is coupled to the motherboard. A cap engages a top edge of a plurality of DIMMs and an adjustable force is applied to the top of the DIMMS by turning a screw which extends from the cap into the base.
