There is provided a connector including: a housing; and a terminal-equipped electric wire assembled to the housing. The terminal-equipped electric wire includes: a terminal; an electric wire; and a flexible conductor provided between the terminal and the electric wire. The flexible conductor is divided into a plurality of divided conductor portions along an axial direction of the flexible conductor. The divided conductor portions are bent in different directions from each other.

The cover (40) includes a cover body (41) to cover the wires (10) and guides (71) extend from the cover body (41) for contacting the wire draw-out surfaces (20F) and guiding the wires (10).

A photovoltaic assembly comprising: (a) at least two photovoltaic components that are adjacent to each other, each photovoltaic component comprising: (i) a partial connector channel in communication with a partial connector channel in an adjacent photovoltaic component and (ii) one or more connector receptors; (b) a connector located at least partially in the partial connector channel of the photovoltaic component and at least partially in the partial connector channel of the adjacent photovoltaic component so that the connector connects the photovoltaic component to the adjacent photovoltaic component, the connector comprising: a housing having: (1) a top housing and (2) a bottom housing, wherein the top housing and the bottom housing each include a first end and a second end; one or more flexible electrical conductors that extend from the first end to the second end; wherein the top housing and the bottom housing each include one or more mechanical flexing regions that allow the housing to mechanically flex.

Electrical connector

A connector configured to be connected to an electrical cable includes a sleeve configured to extend around an end of the electrical cable and a flange extending outward from the sleeve. The flange includes an outer surface and an inner surface. The flange also includes an outer skirt extending continuously and completely around an outer periphery of the base plate, and an inner skirt spaced apart from the outer skirt. The inner skirt traces a closed and continuous path around the sleeve. The flange also includes a channel defined between the inner and outer skirts.

The first connector may include a shell and the shell may include an extension. The extension may extend away from the rear of the connector. In one embodiment, the extension may be integral with the shell. The extension may include one or more openings. The first wire assembly is bent in a controlled manner at first bend. The first opening in the extension maintains the first wire assembly in the bent position to maintain control of the radius in first bend. The radius is controlled to allow the first wire assembly to fit in a small space.

A backshell is configured to be connected to an electrical connector. The backshell includes a backshell body configured to receive a cable connectable with the electrical connector. The backshell also includes a fixed tail portion extending from the backshell body. The fixed tail portion provides a plurality of different connection positions spaced along a curved exit path extending from the backshell body. A fastening component can be connected to the fixed tail portion to retain the cable to the fixed tail portion at one of the plurality of different connection positions. The connection positions include fastening component engagement means, configured to retain the fastening component in position longitudinally with respect to the curved exit path. Connection of the fastening component at the different respective connection positions guides the cable from the fixed tail portion at different respective exit angles.
