Electrical Connector with Locking Spring

An electrical connector includes a housing formed in a single piece and including a recess, a compression spring disposed in the recess, and a position assurance element having a head disposed in the recess and inserted through a first end of the compression spring. The compression spring is unloaded in a plugged-in position of the electrical connector into a mating connector and opposes plugging of the electrical connector into the mating connector in a loaded state. The first end of the compression spring exerts a force only on the position assurance element, the position assurance element exerts a force on the one-piece housing, and a second end of the compression spring opposite the first end along a longitudinal axis of the compression spring exerts a force only on the recess of the housing.

Mechanisms that may help to secure connector inserts in place when they are plugged into a connector receptacle on an electronic device. One example may provide a connector receptacle having a friction mechanism to provide friction between a connector insert and a connector receptacle when the connector insert is inserted in the connector receptacle. Other examples may provide a connector receptacle having a locking mechanism to hinder or prevent extraction of a connector insert.

PLUG ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AND RECEPTACLE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR

A plug electrical connector including a body and a plurality of cable terminals is provided. The body includes a top surface, two side surfaces opposite to each other, at least one locking slot, and a pair of locking protrusions. The top surface is bordered between the two side surfaces, the locking slot is located on the top surface, and the locking protrusions are located on the side surfaces. The cable terminals penetrate through the body and are arranged between the side surfaces in an axial direction. The plug electrical connector is adapted to be butted to a receptacle electrical connector and is engaged with the receptacle electrical connector with the locking slot and the locking protrusions. A receptacle electrical connector is also provided.

An electrical connection device includes a pair of connectors, namely a first connector and a second connector. The first connector includes a housing main body portion, a lock arm, and a cantilever portion. The second connector includes a lock receiving portion and an abutting portion. When the pair of connectors are in the unfitted state, the cantilever portion is located between the housing main body portion and the lock arm so as to be capable of supporting the lock arm. The abutting portion comes into contact with the cantilever portion when the pair of connectors are fitted together, and therefore the cantilever portion undergoes elastic displacement to a position that allows the lock arm to flex toward the housing main body portion.

A connector structure with pull tap includes a plug, a latch and a pull tap. The plug includes a main body and a protruding structure. The protruding structure is extended outward from the main body and includes a groove. The latch includes a fixed arm and an elastic arm. The fixed arm has an installing structure and an opening, and the installing structure is connected to the groove of the protruding structure. The elastic arm is extended from the fixed arm and hangs above the fixed arm. The pull tap includes a tap body and a first end located at one end of the tap body. The pull tap passes through the opening of the fixed arm and the elastic arm is arranged on the first end to fix the first end on the elastic arm.

Electrical plug-in connection, assembly connection and circuit board arrangement

An electrical plug-in connection provides a connecting element having an electrically conductive outer housing with a first electrical plug-in connector at a first end that has a ring-segment shaped first contact region, and a first electrical counterpart plug-in connector having contact springs that act via the first contact region to produce electrical contact and a mechanical connection between the first plug-in connector and the first counterpart plug-in connector and the contact springs generate an axial force which acts along a longitudinal axis of the first counterpart plug-in connector which pushes the outer housing against an axial end stop of the first counterpart plug-in connector, and/or the contact springs exert on the first contact region and on a ring-segment shaped, and axially offset, second contact region a radial force, which acts orthogonally with respect to the longitudinal axis of the first counterpart plug-in connector.

Connector assembly

A connector assembly comprises a first connector and a second connector mateable with each other along a front-rear direction (X-direction). The first connector comprises a first inner structure and a first outer member having a first lock surface, a first regulation portion and a first abutment portion. The second connector comprises a second inner structure having a second abutment portion, and a second outer member having a second lock surface and a second regulation portion. The second abutment portion is brought into abutment with the first abutment portion when the second connector is mated with the first connector. Under a mated state where the first connector and the second connector are mated with each other, the second lock surface regulates a rearward movement of the second connector relative to the first connector, and the second regulation portion regulates a forward movement of the second connector relative to the first connector.

Electrical plug connector

An electrical plug connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, a power terminal group, and a signal terminal group received in the metallic shell. Each terminal of the power terminal group includes a first contact portion, a second contact portion, and a positioning plate that are formed as a clamp structure. The first contact portion extends from an upper portion of the positioning plate and is above the insertion cavity of the insulated housing. The second contact portion extends from a lower portion of the positioning plate and is below the insertion cavity of the insulated housing. Each terminal of the signal terminal group is side-by-side arranged with the corresponding terminal of the power terminal group. A cross-sectional area of each terminal of the signal terminal group is less than a cross-sectional area of the corresponding terminal of the power terminal group.

A connector includes a sensing member inserted into the second housing along the first direction, and a sensing mechanism allowing the sensing member to advance to a predetermined engaged position along the first direction when the first housing and the second housing are completely fitted, and locking the sensing member at a position before the engaged position when the first housing and the second housing are not completely fitted. The sensing member includes an exposed portion exposed to an outer space when the sensing member is in the engaged position. In the exposed portion, a first surface exposed to a side opposite to a side of a central axis of the second housing is an inclined surface or an arc-shaped surface extending in a direction inclined with respect to the first direction and facing a side opposite to a side of the first housing in the first direction.
