KIT OF PARTS OF TRACK AND PLUG
The invention relates to a kit of parts comprising DC, low voltage system of an elongated track and a plug. The elongated track has a first and a second end and comprises an elongated slot formed by a central groove with at least one shielded lateral groove, both grooves lying in a plane P. Typically two electric conductors are accommodated in said at least one lateral groove. A connector portion of the plug having a connector cross section which matches with a cross section of the slot. Both said slot cross section and connector cross section are asymmetrical with respect to a plane Q extending over the length axis perpendicular to plane P, and at least one of the slot cross section and connector cross section is mirror symmetrical with respect to said plane P. The symmetric and asymmetric requirements posed on both the cross section of the elongated track and the connector portion of the plug ensure that the connector portion only being insertable into the first end in the axial direction and, after a rotation of 180° over its connector axis, only being insertable in the axial direction into the second end of said track, with maintenance of the correct polarity The invention further relates to a plug suitable for use in the kit of parts according to the invention.
MOUNTING ASSEMBLIES FOR INSTALLATION OF POWER MODULES
A mounting assembly for mechanical and electrical engagement of a power module includes a stem having a base operably coupled to the power module and a distal end distal the base, a first electrode arm extending perpendicularly from a first side of the and having formed thereon a first electrode disposed on the first electrode arm to form a first incline surface, and a first locking arm extending perpendicularly from the first side of the and having formed thereon a first locking surface. A plane of the first incline surface intersects a plane of the first locking surface.
CURRENT BAR MODULE AND CORRESPONDING CONNECTION MODULE
A conductor rail module for distributing and a corresponding connection module for tapping a direct current distributed along a mounting rail is described. The connection module comprises a housing whose electrically insulating rear section is connected or connectable to the mounting rail in a form-fit manner. A front section of the housing has a plurality of electrically insulating transverse struts extending transversely to a longitudinal direction of the conductor rail module. Furthermore, the conductor rail module comprises at least two conductor rails extending in the longitudinal direction in the housing between the rear section and the front section, which conductor rails are configured to contact the connection modules for distributing the direct current through a gap between the transverse struts when the connection modules are in a position mounted on the conductor rail module.
Framing assembly with modular connectors
Embodiments of a framing assembly including modular connectors for interconnecting components of the framing assembly are disclosed.
Electrical unit with cooling member
An electrical unit includes a contactor having a housing member, a first terminal, a second terminal, and/or a contact member disposed in the housing member and configured to selectively electrically connect the first terminal and the second terminal. The electrical unit may include a cooling member connected to the housing member, a first bus bar connected to the cooling member and the first terminal, and/or a second bus bar connected to the cooling member and the second terminal. The cooling member may be configured to dissipate heat that is generated via electrical current flowing through the contact member.
Electrical connector between a bus and a circuit breaker
An electrical connector is provided for electrically coupling two electrical components. Opposing ends of the connector are coupled to each of the electrical components. At the first end, the connector is disposed in an opening of the first electrical component to establish electrical connection. The first end includes multiple contact portions that are equally biased against the sides of the opening.
POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
A power distribution system includes a track having a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a longitudinal axis extending through the first and second ends. The track defines a channel extending along the longitudinal axis. A plurality of power cables is positioned within the channel. The power distribution system further includes an electrical hub having a body coupled to the second end of the track. A plurality of wafers is supported by the body and stacked on top of each other to define a set of terminals. The set of terminals is electrically connected to the plurality of power cables. A power receptacle is supported by the body and electrically connected to the plurality of wafers.
BUSBAR CONTACT COATINGS BY COLD SPRAY DEPOSITION
In an aspect, a method of forming a coating on a busbar comprises cold spraying a powder comprising a plurality of metal particles onto the busbar at a velocity sufficiently high to cause the plurality of metal particles to deform upon contact with the busbar thereby forming the coating on the busbar; wherein the plurality of metal particles comprises greater than or equal to 50 weight percent of at least one of nickel, tin, silver, zinc, or copper based on the total weight of the metal particles; and wherein the coating has an average thickness of greater than or equal to 10 micrometers. In another aspect, a coated busbar is formed by cold spraying.
Current/Voltage Sensor and Universal Tap-Off Box
A tap-off box includes a latch that automatically secures the tap-off box to a busway upon insertion of a mast into the busway. The latch is in the form of a single spring-loaded member that latches onto a rail as the masthead is pushed into the busway. A push button actuated camming member pushes the latch away from the rail to enable the masthead to be withdrawn from the busway. The push button and camming member are independent of the mechanism that extends and retracts the contacts while the masthead is inserted and latched into the busway. The tap-off box may also include non-contact current monitoring sensors with voltage sensing inserts that an auxiliary breaker switch in applications other than a tap-off box, and an infrared emitting faceplate that can be adapted for monitoring a variety of breakers from outside the tap-off box.
Flexible bus bar
An automotive busbar includes a first rigid section and a second rigid section, each of the first and second rigid sections formed from a first conductive metallic material and having a first effective cross-sectional area, and a flexible section positioned between and interconnecting the first and second rigid sections, the flexible section made from a second conductive metallic material and having a second effective cross sectional area, and a top surface and a bottom surface, at least one of the top and bottom surface including a plurality of voids formed therein and spaced along the flexible section, wherein, the second effective cross-sectional area is less than the first effective cross-sectional area and the second conductive material has a higher conductivity than the first conductive material.
