Terminal crimping machine including an electrical crimp consolidation circuit
A terminal crimping machine includes crimp tooling defining a crimping zone that receives a terminal and a wire and is actuated during a crimp stroke to form a crimped segment between the terminal and the wire. The terminal crimping machine includes an electrical crimp consolidation circuit electrically connected to the crimped segment and operated during the crimp stroke to provide an electrical pulse to at least one of the wire and the terminal of the crimped segment before completion of the crimp stroke.
POSITION DETECTION DEVICE
A position detection device is configured to detect a position of a detection target. The position detection device includes: an IC package including a magnetic detection element configured to output a signal that depend on a direction or a strength of an ambient magnetic field, a sealing portion in which the magnetic detection element is sealed, and lead lines, which are projected from the sealing portion and are electrically connected to the magnetic detection elements; terminal lines electrically connectable to the lead lines respectively; and a lead guide placed along the lead lines to restrict positional deviation of the lead lines.
POSITION DETECTION DEVICE
An IC package includes a magnetic detection element, multiple lead lines electrically connected to the magnetic detection element, and multiple terminal lines weldable to the lead lines respectively. A first welding portion, in which a first lead line of the multiple lead lines is welded to a first terminal line of the multiple terminal lines, is not on vertical lines that pass through second welding portions in which the second lead lines of the multiple lead lines are welded to the second terminal lines of the multiple terminal lines respectively. The second lead lines are adjacent to the first lead line. The vertical lines are orthogonal to center axes of the second lead lines.
Composite flexible printed wiring board and method for manufacturing composite flexible printed wiring board
A composite flexible printed wiring board includes a first flexible printed wiring board having an insulating layer, conductor layers and a first metal block fitted in a hole penetrating through the conductor layers and insulating layer, and a second flexible printed wiring board having an insulating layer, conductor layers and a second metal block fitted in a hole penetrating through the conductor layers and insulating layer. The first flexible printed wiring board and the second flexible printed wiring board have a welded portion formed by welding the first metal block and the second metal block and joining the first metal block and the second metal block such that the welded portion is joining the first flexible printed wiring board and the second flexible printed wiring board.
Method of connecting a wire to a feedthrough
One aspect relates to a feedthrough system. The feedthrough system includes a feedthrough and a wire. At least a portion of the feedthrough is made of an insulator and at least one area forming an electrically conductive cermet pathway. The cermet pathway may include an electrically conductive metal. The wire may be at least partially connected to the cermet pathway so that the material of the wire forms a joint microstructure with the electrically conductive material in the cermet pathway.
RESISTANCE WELDING FASTENER, APPARATUS AND METHODS
An apparatus and method for fastening dissimilar materials like steel, plastic and aluminum. A resistance welding fastener having multiple layers may be used with or without a sealant. The fastener may be used to form an aluminum covered steel laminate via a hemming pattern of attachment. The fastener may have a solid shaft or have an extended reach and have features for interacting with the welding electrode. A variety of electrode tips may be employed to cooperate with the fastener.
METHOD OF USING RESISTANCE SOLDERING DEVICE
A method of method of resistance soldering may include providing a controllable electrical power supply having a negative pole and a positive pole. The method may include providing an electrical terminal having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface on which a solder layer is disposed. The method may include providing a resistance soldering device with an electrode having a first electrical conductor connected to the positive pole of the electrical power supply, a second electrical conductor connected to the negative pole of the electrical power supply, an electrically resistive bridge interconnecting the first and second electrical conductors. The method may include turning the electrical power supply on to provide an electrical current between the positive and negative poles. The method may include contacting the electrode to the first surface of the electrical terminal.
WIRE ASSEMBLY WITH WELDED CONTACT
A coaxial cable assembly includes an inner conductor having an outer circumferential surface, wherein the inner conductor terminates in a tip having a planar surface substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the inner conductor. The coaxial cable assembly further includes an insulator located around the outer circumferential surface of the inner conductor and a contact welded to the planar surface of the tip of the inner conductor.
Apparatus and method for establishing an electrically conductive connection between two substrates
A first and second substrate, and electrically conductive first and second connection parts are provided in a method for establishing an electrically conductive connection between two substrates. The first connection part is mounted on the first substrate by a first releasable connection and the second connection part is respectively mounted on the second substrate by a releasable connection. An electrically conductive connection assembly containing the first connection part and the second connection part is established by either a cohesive connection between a connection portion of the first connection part and a connection portion of the second connection part or an electrically conductive crossmember provided and a cohesive connection of a first length portion of the crossmember to the connection portion of the first connection part and a second cohesive connection of a second length portion of the crossmember to the connection portion of the second connection part being established.
Method for connecting an aluminum electrical wire with an aluminum tube
A method for connecting an electrical cable having at least one wire made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy to a connector element includes the following steps: Inserting a stripped portion at an end of the electrical cable into a tube of the connector element. Crimping the tube where an end portion of the electrical cable is arranged so that a relative motion between the tube and the electrical cable is prevented. Crimping the tube where a second portion of the electrical cable is arranged, the second portion being further from the end of the electrical cable than the end portion, such that a change of the cross section and an elongation of the least one wire at the second portion of the electrical cable is caused. Resistance welding the tube to the at least one wire at the second portion of the electrical cable.
