A contact includes: a spring member constituted of at least one thin plate that has electrical conductivity and elasticity, the spring member causing elastic deformation when being sandwiched between at least one conductor pattern of a printed wiring board and at least one conductive member different from the printed wiring board; a housing made of resin that surrounds at least a part of the spring member from both sides at least across a deformation direction of respective portions of the spring member so as to support the spring member on the printed wiring board; and at least a pair of engaging portions, the respective engaging portions being formed in the spring member and the housing, the engaging portions engaging with one another when the housing is arranged in a position surrounding the spring member, so as to secure at least a part of the spring member to at least a part of the housing.

The described embodiments relate generally to methods and apparatus for securely and efficiently joining components together. In some embodiments, a flexible printed circuit board and a rigid printed circuit board can be electrically coupled together by soldering electrical contacts distributed on the flexible printed circuit board to electrical contacts distributed on the rigid printed circuit board. The electrical contacts can be arranged and sized as desired to provide a desired amount of data and power transfer bandwidth.

A soldering block for holding two electrical components in contact or proximity to facilitate their connection, such as by soldering. The soldering block utilizes a pair of fixation elements, such as spring tensioned clamps, to hold the first and second electrical elements in place, conveniently acting as a third hand for the electrician. The soldering block is especially well suited to connecting wires to the terminals of LED tape strip.

A method for producing a composite window pane, particularly a motor vehicle windscreen, includes mounting guide pins and electronic components on traces of a printed circuit board and inserting the printed circuit board between a first and a second glass plate. The guide pins are inserted in passthroughs in the first glass plate.

An assembly is provided. The assembly includes a component, a solder pin arranged on the component, an electrical structural unit, and a soldering point which is arranged on the electrical structural unit and forms an opening, into which the solder pin is insertable along an insertion direction in order to produce a soldered joint. The solder pin has an insertion portion which, on sides of the solder pin that face away from each other, forms insertion walls which are arranged at an acute angle to one another in such a way that the insertion portion tapers in the insertion direction. A part of the insertion portion is arranged outside the opening in such a way that one or more portions of the insertion walls extend inside the opening and one or more portions of the insertion walls extend outside the opening.

An electrical connector includes an insulating body, multiple lower terminals, a conductive plate, and multiple upper terminals. Each lower terminal has a base portion. The lower terminals include lower signal terminals connected to the plate and lower ground terminals separated from the plate. The upper terminals include upper signal terminals and upper ground terminals. Each upper terminal has a fixing portion and an elastic arm. The fixing portion is located above and fixed to the base portion. A metal sheet exists between two adjacent fixing portions of the upper terminals in the left-right direction and separated from the upper signal terminals. The sheet is integrally connected with the upper ground terminals adjacent thereto in the left-right direction and is separated in the front-rear direction. The sheet is located above and fixed to the plate. The elastic arm is located right above the front upper terminal adjacent thereto or the sheet.

A method for producing a connection contact for a sensor or an actuator of a vehicle, the method including: providing a printed circuit board having at least one electronic component arranged thereon and having an opening; inserting a contact bushing into the opening; and combined soldering the at least one component to the printed circuit board and the contact bushing to the printed circuit board in one task. Also described are a related circuit board and a vehicle control unit.

A connector set is provided that includes a first connector, a first cap to be attached to the first connector when the first connector is reflow-mounted on a first external substrate, a second connector, and a second cap to be attached to the second connector when the second connector is reflow-mounted on a second external substrate formed of a material with a smaller thermal expansion coefficient than that of the first external substrate. The second cap is formed of a material with a smaller thermal expansion coefficient than that of the first cap.

A connector set is disclosed that includes a plurality of connectors and a cap to be attached to the plurality of connectors when the plurality of connectors are reflow-mounted on an external substrate. Each one end portion of the connectors and the cap is provided with a fitted portion and a fitting portion to be fitted in the fitted portion. The fitted portion is provided with an opening portion for moving the fitting portion so as to absorb thermal expansion from one end portion side to the other end portion side due to temperature conversion of reflow.

A connector is provided that includes a plurality of socket type connectors to be mounted on a first substrate and a plurality of plug type connectors to be mounted on a second substrate, thereby electrically connecting the first substrate and the second substrate. The socket type connector includes a housing with a slot and a plurality of contacts arranged in the slot. The plug type connector includes a housing with a header to be fitted in the slot, and a plurality of contacts arranged in the header. The housing of the socket type connector and the housing of the plug type connector has a rotationally asymmetrical shape as viewed from a fitting direction.
