CATHETER DEVICE COMPRISING A SEPARATING DEVICE FOR RETAINING MAGNETIC PARTICLES CONTAINED IN A FLUID AND PROTECTION DEVICE FOR A FUNCTIONAL ELEMENT
The invention relates to, amongst other things, a catheter device comprising a catheter (24) in which a rotating shaft (25) which is made at least partially from a magnetic material is arranged, and a separating device which contains an annular body (27) surrounding the rotating shaft and having a cavity containing a magnetic body (13′), the magnetic body being arranged downstream from a point at which the shaft (25) exits the catheter (24) which it surrounds with respect to the direction of flow of the fluid through the catheter.
FLUID CONNECTOR WITH SLIDABLE MEMBER
A connector is provided comprising first and second hollow bodies with a fluid transfer member, slidably arranged between the first and second hollow connector bodies.
FLUID CONNECTOR
A connector is provided comprising first and second hollow connector bodies, the connector having a first expanded position providing a first fluid flow path through the first hollow connector body, and a second collapsed position providing a second fluid flow path through the first and second hollow connector bodies.
Fluid connector and method for making sealed fluid connections
A connector adapted to form a fluid tight connection includes first and second housing sections defining a fluid path. A locking element is configured to selectively lock the first and second housing sections together. A slide seal is positioned generally between the first and second housing sections and is movable between a first, blocking position in which the slide seal blocks and seals the fluid path and a second, unblocking position in which the fluid path is unblocked.
OPENING/CLOSING UNIT DRIVE MECHANISM FOR CHEMICAL-LIQUID CIRCUIT, AND CHEMICAL-LIQUID INJECTOR
A safe and easy handling of a chemical-liquid circuit having various components. The opening/closing unit drive mechanism includes an opening/closing unit holder which detachably holds an opening/closing unit which includes a housing having flow channels and a piston for opening and closing the flow channels which is movably provided to the housing, a hook to be engaged with the piston of the opening/closing unit, which is disposed leaving a space from the opening/closing unit holder, and a linear motion mechanism which moves the hook back and forth. The opening/closing unit holder is movably supported between a first position at which the piston is engaged with the hook and a second position at which the piston is not engaged with the hook.
SINGLE SLIDER DOUBLE BARREL SYRINGE AND METHOD TO USE SAME FOR MEDICAL DIAGNOSTICS, THERAPEUTIC USE, AND PLACEMENT CONFIRMATION AND JOINT SPACE INJECTION
A syringe is provided having a hub with an orifice, first and second barrels having interior surfaces to form respective lumens, a slider, and an optional test indicator. The first and second barrels slideably receive respective first and second plungers for movement therein. The slider is operable to provide a fluidly communicative path between the orifice of the hub and the first and second barrel lumens. The optional test indicator is responsive to at least one characteristic of bodily fluid, the test indicator positioned to be exposed to any bodily fluid drawn into the first barrel lumen and visible from an exterior of the first barrel.
Medical pump
A medical pump, comprising: a fluid housing having a plurality of intake openings, sealed by at least one intake valve, and an outlet opening sealed by an outlet valve; a piston which is sealing the fluid housing and connected to a drive mechanism, the drive mechanism pulls the piston to draw fluid from one of the plurality of intake openings and pushes the piston to discharge the fluid into the outlet opening; and a selecting valve enclosing at least two tubes, each providing fluid to one of the plurality of intake openings, wherein the selecting valve closes one of the at least two tubes while opening another of the at least two tubes.
MEDICAL CLEANING VALVE
A valve may have a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The valve may include a valve stem having a lumen extending from a first opening at a proximal portion of the valve stem to a second opening at a distal end of the valve stem. A plurality of seals may be positioned relative to the valve stem. The valve stem and seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet is prevented from flowing to the outlet in a first position of the valve stem and relative to the inlet and the outlet. The valve stem and the seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet flows to the outlet in a second position of the valve stem relative to the inlet and the outlet, the second position being more distal than the first position relative to the inlet and the outlet.
DISPOSABLE VALVE FOR AN ENDOSCOPE OPTIONALLY HAVING A LUBRICANT AND/OR AN ANTIMICROBIAL AGENT
A disposable valve assembly configured for use with an endoscope is disclosed. The disposable valve assembly may include a stem comprised of thermoplastic material, a spring stanchion configured to receive the stem and allow movement of the stem in an upward and downward position relative to the spring stanchion, a spring configured to contact that spring stanchion and the stem. In some embodiments, a lubricant is disposed on the stem, the spring stanchion and/or the spring. The disposable valve assembly may also include an antimicrobial agent disposed in the lubricant, or in the thermoplastic material and/or can be coated thereon. A method for manufacturing the disposable valve assemblies for use with an endoscope may include several steps.
Linearly actuated flow controller for intravenous (IV) fluid administration
Flow controllers for intravenous (IV) tubing are provided. A flow controller may include first and second structural members defining a cavity therebetween for a portion of the tubing, wherein the first structural member is linearly slidable along a length of the tubing to compress at least part of the portion of the tubing to control flow of a medical fluid through the tubing. A flow controller may include a first ramped wedge structure, a second ramped wedge structure configured to slide over the first ramped wedge structure to compress a portion of the IV tubing disposed between the first ramped wedge structure and the second ramped wedge structure, a yoke having a linear slot, a wheel having a pin that is radially separated form a center of the wheel and is slidably disposed in the linear slot, and a transfer structure coupled to the yoke and the first ramped wedge structure. IV sets that include a flow controller are also provided.
